In regards to dance style being plagiarize or copyrighted, my initial reaction, MHJ should start watching HOTS, even our Hope, JHope, the best dancer acknowledges that he's still lacking and still learning dance from different artists, it's funny that MHJ who's not a dancer keeps spewing malicious information as if she created the dance moves danced by her "daughters" that she copied also from other artist and choreographers, she should have watch steezy reacting to ON by BTS, they were so proud that a certain dance moves was used in BTS choreography. No dancers bashed another dancer for using a dance style. MHJ thinks she's so perfect, gaslighting and blaming people around her. Thanks for this info by the way.

There is a lot of misinformation about what BE LIFT said in the video as well as how Engenes felt about BE LIFT suing MHJ and Ador. On real SM that is from real Engenes what they are focused on is Enhypen's concert tour, Jay's collaboration with Japanese rock band Glay and the July comeback.They could care less about this MHJ and New Jeans drama. There are times as an Engene I have complained about BE LIFT because they tend not to fight back when their artists are under attack. This is true of many Engenes who have complained about airport safety and hateful social media posts. This time around I am glad that BE LIFT is finally fighting back. MHJ and Bunnies are in for a shock when their hateful world comes back to haunt them. What international magazine or brand will want to connect themselves to the negative energy they are spreading. I am mad that they are trying to drag Enhypen and my Fandom into their mess. It’s sad but right now I am tired of New Jeans, their fandom and their “mother” MHJ. I am going to check out Illit. They sound interesting but as for New Jeans I am done with them

It took me years to find out that Exo members write. And when I went looking the member I looked up was credited under a third name.
What you have to aknowledge about NJ is that they did not know how everything works when they were singed and MHJ made sure that they only learnt her version of things. They are also still so young.
With HYBE people looking over MHJ's shoulder maybe that will change. At least I hope so for them.

In the hope the tarnished BTS will lose at least some of the most lucrative and prestigious endorsement deals and ambassadorships held by the 7 members. Money. No she cannot just take NJ away. That would be stripping an asset contracted under the Hybe Umbrella. As far as I am aware Min Hee Jin still personally owes money to Bang Si Hyuk for the money he leant her so she could buy her shares of Ador, which were at an enormous discount.

JYP is a close friend of Bang's and they coporate a lot.
(that goes so far that there were a back and fourth of IG messages were Taehyung asked if that - JYP and Bang thinking of each other as brothers - would make him Taehyung's uncle or at least if he was allowed to call him that - to which JYP laughingly agreed)
SM has a lot of their own problems. They are loosing artists - some they have pretty much in name only for their group and they are loosing normal employees en mass.
An Exo-subunit is at the moment sueing because SM wants 10% of what they make under their "own" label.
I have no idea what is going on with YG but I don't think they are involved either.

MHJ has hired the biggest "PR" (I know that is not even the right word for what they are doing) company in SK to announce her press conferences.
Which begs the question what else she is paying them for as they don't move for this kind of money that someone far less professional can do easy.

They are well known for their deep grip in the industry and entertainment and contacts in publishing( despite how big they are and how successful Hybe has very little of that influence, built up over many years of favours and back handers, I should say here the present government also does not like all the social causes BTS support, even Jimins large annual donations to local education shines a light on government short falls. With all BTS championing of the underdog the present government sees them as radicals). It is the influence of the big 3 that represent the establishment influence that caused so many problems for BTS. There has even been discussions about it on political talk shows, why given all BTS successes for Korea do they so compatitively rarely feature on main stream korean newspapers front-page in a wholey positive light compared to less successful groups. Think about the onslaught of coordinated smear campaigns by different news and media outlets in Korea whilst they are in the army. . Dredging up cases long ago proven false in court as if its new news. Min Hee Jin by herself does not have that sort of influence. As to why its quite simple MONEY. BTS have scooped up most of the most prestigious most lucrative brand deals between them over the years. Including but not only Tiffany, Samsung, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Bottega Venneto Samsonite, Hyjndai, Cloe , Calvin Klein Chanel etc. over the years these brand deals represent almost pure profit for the big 3. I'm reading a bit on Koreaboo. The headlines already told me what not to read.
So I'm happy I got a more mature version of what is going on.
This is what I’m saying nobody owns a marketing strategy. Nobody owns a specific dance move. Everything is revamped and redone. I feel like a lot of people cherry picked certain parts of the video and then over dramatized it, and the fact that there’s no subtitles makes it worse for the western fans. BeLift was doing their part to prove the allegations wrong, I do think showing mood boards or something from the very beginning of ILLIT’s creation to further prove that ILLIT is authentically their creation. But they did a good job. They was trying to say that by MHJ’s standards, key words MHJ’S STANDARDS, if she wants to claim that ILLIT copied NewJeans, then she technically copied half the industry. However, BeLift Lab is stressing that in actuality none of this is plagiarism because KPop is known for taking certain things and revamping or changing them up to fit their style. It’s also hypocritical of fans to throw together side by sides of ILLIT and NewJeans to compare the similarities between the two and push their narrative but when BeLift Lab does it, it’s a problem.

- She got the injunction because the judges were swarmed in by alot of garbage they weren't even able to differentiate that Hybe is the company that owns ADOR, and if Nj is taken from ADOR it means that hybe employees have been poached illegally through shares being reduced. I still wonder what kind of law that is. And I am sure that judge knows that they did a wrong thing.
The judge leave the nugget for HYBE though as said Ms Min had betrayed HYBE not ADORE. He basically gave HYBE the go ahead to bring the criminal case to the police which is what they've now done.

At first I thought BeLift video was a PR mistake. But now I realize, those super negative comments made their defamation case for them.
True. Belift set up a trap for them. Easier for them to track down the companies who are behind these bot accounts spreading smear campaign against Illit.
1.2M views after 2 weeks and 65k comments. How is that even possible without bot accounts? General public doesn't even know about this video, hence the low views.

But they don't, their build up Image is rapidly going down, nothing holistic about Maccoll organisation. On the onther hand it is good for the court to show how everything is out of context made for mediaplay.

I can't believe it too. I hope BE:LIFT would really take actions as they said to these people to make a better place. Sometimes people forget how wrong their actions/words are on Internet just because they think they are anonymous.
MHJ has an overdeveloped sense of self. In her mind, she was the first in everything but never got the recognition for being a creative genius. She is a narcissist and she will bring down New Jeans, other Hybe groups, and maybe even the hard-earned respectability of the k-pop industry.

From what is going on I think they are very much taken out of context.
People twist the context to fit their narrative even when it says the exact opposite.
What I think is "netizens" (maybe; could be paid writers) hate as soon as someone (from HYBE excluding ADOR) breathes.

Some of the allegations BELIFT made according to Koreans were altered to their narratives, which was why most koreans were against BELIFT. For example, editing the hanbok photos to make them look like official photoshoots, claiming NJs copied NMIXX dance when the song was released after NJ's song and tennis outfits concept from blackpink was copied by NJ when blackpink's creative director at that time denied and said it was completely different

If the hanbok photos were edited or not does not matter at all.
Because surprise: GFriends photos looked like that, too.
Hanbok is common in Idol music and there are not much differences.
The NJ copy claim was because of the background - not if it was edited or a Elle photoshoot (which where different hotos anyway) - but GFriends for example used the same with simlar colors and they were not the only ones. In fact the BeLift vid has quiet a few.
The next section shows how common certain movements in dance are and two seconds being the same is not "copying". For this it does not even matter who was first because BeLift does not claim that this is copying - the exact opposite in fact: MHJ claims it is.
No one claims "tennis outfits" are copying. BeLift does certainly not.
But people want to be mad about it so they say BeLift did when they actually just showed common things and emphesised that this is *no*t copying.
You fell for the "pick and choose" method of irrelevant information and "out of context" narrative.
None of this are "valid discussion points". it is absolut irrelevant.

@@lacienagalacey9454 I’ve been in the legal business for years. Hybe fired her minions and appointed 3 Hybe employees to be on the Board of Directors. It’s not rocket science…what that means is any big decisions will be made on a 3 to 1 vote. She no longer has complete autonomy to sneak around, embezzle money (allegedly but believable since Hybe has evidence), or conspire on non-company devices. This injunction is temporary - that’s why they call them injunctions - to stop some immediate event from taking place; they are not permanent. They will get her on their evidence. Regardless, she’ll be booted when her contract ends.
So to sum up, she’s in a worse position than she was in the first place and she knows it. And at the end of the day, with an 80% ownership in Ador, contracts and the like are Hybe’s

Love Illits fashion style, which is the blending of the super (fantastical theme) and the real(casual). This style stops your look from being too theme-y or gimmiky. NJ’s style is…well… they look like mean girls, because wearing everything in the one style is too gimicky, which btw, goes to prove the wisdom of Illits stylists. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if Illits combination will be copied, albeit using unique styles, it opens the field to an amazing future style-wise.

Because almost nobody knows that KPop is just since 1992 while Jpop is from the 50' gg and mg with schooluniforms, tennisskirts etc is typical Jpop. If you would look into it you see her creations are from Jpop not something she original made by herself. The fact that most people do not know this she can claim.
i think mhj knew this copy case was not a case she would win. all she wanted was to stop the other groups in Hybe from getting reconition and make sure Nj remained the top gg.. she saw how popular the other two groups was sp she spoke up. and the fact that people can´t se through that is mental. sure she may think illet copied them but that is something you keep inside the company the only reson she came out ws to make a big deal out of it so she could make people hate the other groups. and i think she hope that sm o another company will come and save them by buying them from hype contract.
The Belift Lab video is very informative, but unfortunately there are so many hate comments by min hee jin supporters.
Possibly some of them may be paid, but the media (Korean and American) are saying that the video backfired, because of the hate comments. Very sad!

Unfortunately not having subtitles in the original video is doing more harm then good for them I think, specially reading some of the comments there. There are only 9k likes and according to some of the 'boasting' commenters (haters), there are 90k dislikes, which they 'claim' can be checked/seen using a different site, not sure how true this is. But having only kpop bias koreans able to understand and comment on their video is getting them a lot of hate. Specially with some of other channels making purposely misinterpretations of what was said...

For example, Be:lift's video was swarmed with anti-belift comments and dislike attack the moment the video was posted. Some 50 people who recently (as old as 1 month ago) created an account posting 100s of comments each. It swarms out a rational opinion from the view. It's the same story with most fandom related communities except very few. The speed and ferocity of this kind response is very unnatural and makes me suspect viral companies at work. I don't think these are solely hired by mhj. (she can't afford it.), so there must be somebody with deep pocket who seeks to benefit from this mhj vs hybe dispute. This was so from at least 30 days before the 1st mhj press conference. Don't expect things to change any time soon, (at least a month minimum.) Police & Legal cases takes a long time.
Most hybe labels do not use viral companies, they do not consider it ethical, or professional. (Which is also a reason why it seems public opinion is always seems to be against Hybe groups despite them getting good results. )

I acually still unable to judge who is wrong who is right. I see it as a disgruntled employee (toxic) being treated unfarily by the boss. She used her advantage and the boss use their contract and authority. As for the copy issue i think to compare outside the debate of copy/inspired, imo what mhj did was creating a trend out of 30 years old style while belift was riding the wave of their own sister company, which argumentativly taking gain from NJ
Your comment suggests you are leaning towards Ador. I lean towards Hybe for the following reasons. 1. Min Hee Jin took this to the public, which adversely affected all the employees and artists of Hybe. Many of those people had nothing to do with Min Hee Jin’s troubles. 2. Min Hee Jin asserted many things without proof and was later corrected by many beyond Hybe such as the “copy” assertion that proved to be unfounded as this video stated. 3. The S. Korean court stated while she could not be fired, she was disloyal. A disloyal employee title would be given if the employee took action against the company. In this case, she took action that was not in Hybe’s benefit. 4. She was given many resources that most people don’t get to create Ador and she bad mouthed the people that gave her the resources and opportunities. 5. Min Hee Jin is bad for morale. Even if she is cleared of everything, she has done so much damage that many employees would be concerned with working with her. This is not good for any business.

i see what you mean but MHJ went public with this creating a huge fight amoung fans and other labels making the stock fall and al of that because a small thing like that... she should have kept it inside the company and let the fans talk like they used to in other cases of this. besides so many groups have ridden the BTS wave making songs imilar to BTS rember the sm group song called sweet like mango similar to smooth like butter. BTS and big hit did nothing about it because fans already knew they where the originals. so mhj didn´t have to do this. she was hurtig the company on purpose.
and when you look at the kakao talk msg MHJ was planning to take ador right when she became CEO 3 years ago.. and everything that is happening now with the smear campain it all matches wht she wanted to happen. so NO there is no place for doubt in my mind that she is at fault. i know hybe is not good either but i will not let the sink the ship out of greed.
What I feel is MHJ already had trust issue with Bang PD.
From her side it seems like Bang PD never liked NJs but I feel there might be repeated miscommunication and misinterpretion going b/w them.
I don't see why Hybe will like to sabotage a grp who's 80% share they hold in. (Hybe has 80% share of Ador)
So when fans first started to point out that Illit is copying NJs she took it as a sign that her suspicions over Hybe not liking them is true. Somehow the parents also sided with her.
Lets be honest, the fame job is not easy. People end up being egoistic. Fame getting to head is lot common than it appears.
It can happen to the staffs working with the idols, the idols themselves , their family and friends.
Also influence from fans can be very harmful.
