Yes, I can see 'Jin Hit' becoming a real company in the future. I even bet that PD Bang and Jin have already discussed the gaming aspect of this company. (Jin LOVES gaming after all.) I've always liked imagining what each of the boys would do when they became "adults" and expanded their expertise into other areas. Look how influential these seven men are just as entertainers! Frankly, I'm excited to see where each of these beautiful men end up.
Bang PD was thinking ahead and bought into the companies that would help in the creation of other endeavors. He has acquired AI company to maybe help w the gaming endeavor. Why rely on outside expertise when you can use your own ppl and have more control over how your artists are treated. That is why they did their own reality game show content like RUN BTS. It costs money to let your artists go on others’ shows and they get paid minimal for all their hard work but show makes a lot from having the artist on the show. Plus get treated rudely maybe by hosts and production staff. Better to do your own shows w your artists and make all the money. I think Bang has been very pro-active about his artists. Building an in-house medical facility so they don’t have to drive to a hospital for immediate care, wasting time. Also no risk of someone exposing artists medical conditions or info. Same w mental health care. Artists are more likely to utilize services if it is all provided for securely. He also has been training senior artists to become executives/control over different aspects of business. Jimin was recently named having duties as a director in a certain dept. All the BTS members have taken turns working w younger trainees and groups. They also have the degrees to actually work the business end and the experience to work the technical sides. From what I see Bang PD has been a great mentor who takes care that the young ppl in his ‘house’ are ready for all the challenges that being an idol will bring them, and can fly on their own one day. He raises artists, not just performers.
There is this small problem: we are human. We humans have tendencies and the tendency here is to make your workers to depend on your company so you do not go outside of that bublue and "waste" resources as time . Let's talk about mental health, let's said someone is harrasing you and your boss is overworking you, going to therapy maybe someone outside of the company would suggest to leave that job and found another because a mixture of reasons, most probably the doctor on your company would never suggest that because his/her alliance belongs to the company, not to you. And in this specific case, the action to go out of the place that is making them sick is already helping more than going to another floor. I would love I could have more faith in humankind but by experience I know coorporations tends to "be vigilant" on their assets, and a worker is one of it, in another scenary we would call that breach of trust or invassion of privacy and wpuld never accept it, but somehow many justify it inside companies. That is why I am not sure this is the best for all of them.
@@belaytriks it's an option, it's not mandatory. The services are there if the artists needs them. I haven't heard one person say they have to go through hybe for everything. That would only be a problem if it wasn't optional
I agree with your points. And Hybe became huge as we see it today because BPD has a vision. Where the big 3 are just content to be just "entertainment" companies, Hybe stood taller as a corporation then and now a conglomerate. They think about the future.
Interesting. Suga wants to perform until older. However maybe he will keep a multi strings to his bow approach. SUCHWITA is the best talk show for artists. I prefer it even to IUs brilliant pallette. There is something about Suga strips artifice. I would be devestated if he stopped that. He would also be a brilliant character actor.
Hey that was a great explanation. It’s so great to have the business model“ conglomerate” explained with out those peculiarly evil, suspicious and dubious overtones. You made it sound so logical and NOT the worldwide take over paranoia currently doing the rounds. I also understand, 💯 percent , the success of pairing the dichotomy of processes. I always found each process in its turn a real leveller. Good on you for your honesty and plain talking and experience. Cheers
*And this is the way of the government to recognize HYBE a conglomerat? We know why, because BTS put SK on the map and brought earnings and tourism like nobody before.*
Not exactly. Any SK company that brings an income of 3.5 B or more becomes a conglomerate. And all of them are subject to very strict oversight by the government, because most companies that make that much are the chaebols- the family-run corporations. Chaebols have real potential to become mob-type businesses, so the government keeps a very close eye on them and requires more information from them than from an ordinary business. Even as it is, laws are likely to be ignored, bent, or broken- and the chaebol business is where the 'imperial CEO' image that South Koreans hate so much comes from.
@@aishabailey3568 here in Italy if you have securities/assets you have to pay 10% of the value to the state when someone die, it happened to me 3 years ago when my grandpa passed away, Surely the Sk government will have its own rules but in the end they are always the ones who gain.
@@ystrw the latest news is that a company most have beyond 5 trilion won or more and if a company becomes a conglomerate it can also benefit from many things that a normal company cannot and from what I have seen those who work in these conglomerates have higher than average salaries but if they find you doing something wrong you are banned from all these conglomerates and it is very difficult to find a job after. I'm very curious how Min will end up and if she will be saved by someone else. Bang PD is a smart business person who is planning for the future. Like you said, running a business is not easy. He is a creative person with business skills. That's why he stepped down as chairman of HYBE. He wanted to be able to keep working with artists both creativity and as a mentor. I don't know Bang PD, and I am going to judge him personally. He seems like a person who is always looking forward to the future and not afraid of pivot right away if something he tried doesn't work now. At least, that's my impression of him. For example, he is aware of the environmental issues and released a digital album for JHope. But, fans still wanted a hard copy in spite of claiming they want environment friendly industry. It's difficult to balance. So, for that, I admire him.
I agree with everything you said - except Bang PD stepped down as CEO of HYBE (Park Ji-won is CEO). He is, however, still Chairman Of The Board Of Directors. Which means he is freed from the day to day running of HYBE to concentrate on other things.
@@bqanto That's what saddens me the most. Solo stans think they know the member that they stan, when it's the complete opposite. J-hope never wanted a physical copy of his album for Jack in the Box and yet, the solo stans gave HYBE such backlash and terrible accusations of sabotage when that was far from the truth. How terrible and hurt J-hope must've felt, when the company he trusted to produce his album received an overwhelming amount of negativity for even producing the digital album. The "fans" didn't even consider the possibility that J-hope had any say in the production. I never once believed the sabotage accusation and trusted J-hope. So when he revealed in Suchwita that he didn't want to make a physical album copy for Jack in the Box, I was very sad. It makes me sad for any of the members to experience something like this. The same can be said for V, as well. I've seen the narrative of V being mistreated by HYBE everywhere and one of the excuses the solos use to back this up is that they didn't give him a studio to work on his music. V states in the official BTS book, Beyond the Story, that he never wanted a studio and he doesn't work well in a studio. I don't blame him one bit, honestly. It just makes me really sad that solos say that they support their favorite member, but the reality is that they don't. They don't trust their favorite member has any say in what they produce. And, they don't respect their favorite member's wishes. The only thing the solos respect is their "fantasies".
@@the_blue_mushroom_any person?? Members of BTS arent just any person though. JK was the director for BTS Life Goes On music video. He has self filmed and self edited alot of film vlogs, a hobby for now with his Golden Closet Productions. Thank you. How I do wish more of Army would see your content. It would make them much wiser and maybe the ignorant comments and boycotting would get down to realistic levels. I'm so tired of hearing from the masses about the mismanagement of HYBE when they don't have a clue how big business operates . I was a Senior VP in the Pharmaceutical industry so I have an idea about how things go. I don't know everything about management in the K pop industry, but I do know HYBE is a very young company thats working out its kinks. They seem better suited to treat their artists respectfully and seeing to their broader health more so the the top 3 ever did. They give artists freedom to write their own music at Big Hit. I dont know about the other labels under their umbrella or how much involvement they have with those artist. Also they take care of their emotional and mental health which I understand is a first in that industry. All this yet the trolls just keep on bad mouthing them social media.
I could absolutely see Jin going into the gaming side of the company. But no matter what they all do, be it together or apart, I just hope they'll all continue to put out great music as well. 🙏🥺 💜
Thank you for this really informative video of what is happening with Hybe's corporate structure, where BTS and PD Bang fit within that structure, and the future implications. I'm excited for the future.
I think Yoongi, Namjoon, or Hoseok will be the most likely to become a CEO of a label under HYBE. And I think the first artist they will want to sign is JIMIN! While Jimin clearly has the intelligence and drive to own and operate a label….he LIVES for the stage so I think he will perform for as long as he possibly can. I think Jungkook will foray into producing videos or movies….sometihng visual once he is done being a “pop super star” like he said he wants to become. I think Taehyung and Jin will pursue carriers in acting or hosting…..specifically creating their own content and shows. My hope is that they give us some wonderful content as the GROUP BTS for the next 5-10 years while continuing to weave their solo careers into group activities before they become mostly independent artists💜
I remember they wrote once, when the filled out one form, about like what and who they would like with ... JHope wrote among others that he would like to work with Jimin and Jimin wrote he would prefer JK to join communication group ... V wrote if he would become CEO once, he wod like Jimin to be his right hand ... but I do not remember what other wrote ... I think JK wrote about video production, but don't take this for sure
@@dolinca5730 I will try to find that episode or whatever it was ... there were a lot of questions about them they answered ... each filled out form was presented separately ... all of them are inteligent, talented, have experiences and are educated ... I would not be surprised if one day they take high positions in the company or elsewhere in the entertainment industry ... it would be just speculation in which part of it ... we will be surprised for sure or not 🙂
Don't forget as Shareholder you get normally quarterly dividends but only if the company is doing well. I have shares in a huge Canadian Bank (offshore Stocks and Shares) as I live in the UK (British citizen) I have pay Canadian tax on them but get my quartly dividened every 3 months into my bank account here in the UK of course that take into consideration currency exchange rates as well. I also have voting rights which I've excerised a few times. Same with my shares within a major UK Bank. So if HYBE is doing well BTS members as share holder will also be earning their Share Dividends which of course goes up and down with the share price. The share price has dropped badly due to this Miss Min debacle.
I think that it’s great that HYBE has a multi label system and is trying to branch out into other industries (ie gaming? AI?)…Why not? Companies do it all the time (ie Disney, Amazon, Microsoft just to name a few). HYBE is providing jobs for hundreds of South Koreans and helping the South Korean economy grow. Mhj should have just sought out investors on her own and started her own company from the very beginning…It takes hard work, determination and perseverance. HYBE came about as a result of the sheer hard work and dedication of some very young music artists and their manager and continues to grow to this day…
Thank you Fairlane, another excellent video. People will definitely get a better understanding of a corporate structure. I do wish that you can go down into a little more detail of the relationship between a label and Hybe from an operational perspective. I’ve seen many comments that seem to think that Hybe (BSH) controls everything and they see this in a negative way. An example is the comments on the article in allkpop about Koz Entertainment where Hybe changed the executive because they are under performing. It would be good for everyone to understand what the labels are responsible for, what services are provided by Hybe as a support to the label, whether they can get those services from an outside agency or not and how much say/control the corporation (Hybe) has with each label. People are taking the executive change as negative and Hybe pushing the label around and even to them trying to stifle the artists. It’s sad especially as the change is because the label is underperforming meaning they want that label to do even better which is of benefit to the artists. Love you take on company, marketing and an of army.
All KPop isn’t a trustworthy source of information They sale gossip and even misinformation to get viewers So, you may enjoy their articles, but don’t trust them Also, no company, let alone a conglomerate, explains what they do or why, only their shareholders have a right to get those explanations. Still, fyi, in a corporation CEOs can only be fired by the BOD; however, major shareholders can step in and demand a general meeting to fire a CEO, like Hy is doing right now with that woman. It’s what happened in the case you mentioned. Big corporations and conglomerates have to ask when the s**t hits the fan, or they go down Keep learning, it’s good to always look for answers, instead of staying with the first one you read
@@bqanto seems like they might need to be educated about the other side as well. Excellent video as always. Do you know if BTS members own stocks in Big Hit Music? To me that means more if they have a controlling interest in Big Hit Music vs. Hybe. How is the structure of Big Hit Music (since they are insulated) different from the other labels under Hybe?
bighit is a private company, they don't have shares or stocks. hybe on the other hand is an IPO company that buy and sell publicly traded stocks. hope that helps 😊
@@KulitWorld Hi there, actually a private company is a firm held under private ownership. Private companies may issue stock and have shareholders, but their shares are not issued through an initial public offering (IPO) and do not trade on public exchanges.
@@bqanto so you think Bighit is owned 100% by Bang Pd? If that is the case, I think BTS has royally been screwed based on what they brought to the table. How even their hard work is still generating over 50% of the revenue coming into Hybe while serving in the military. I honestly hope BTS owns the majority of equity (51% + collectively) in Bighit considering BangPd owns the majority of equity in Hybe. @@bqanto We are all entitled to our opinions. I do agree there would be no BTS without Bighit. However Bighit would not be where it is today without BTS. Bighit was on the verge of bankruptcy and if the members had not worked for 5+ years without a break, there is a strong possibility that Bighit would not be here today and we would definitely not have Hybe. Even with the gift of stock, it was a minuscule amount ($7-8 million) for the sweat equity they have put into building Big Hit and Hybe. They did not even have voting rights with the stock until this new contract Common stock owners have voting rights What is your source that BTS members are billionaires? I definitely think they are worth more than all these sites reporting they are worth $30-$50 million each...but Billionaires that is hard to believe. She need to use her money if she can’t work well with others. She went off the rails when more money, spotlight came into play. Bang hired her in 2019. She has had a lot of support from him. People are delusional if they think she can continue as CEO of Ador. She can’t be trusted. Plus, she copied a Mexican girl group. Plagiarized SAT, dogged out her own group like the twisted mother figure she is.
OFF TOPIC: Do the individual Idols/entertainers have a 'labor union' that provides protection for them or do they just have to depend on hiring a personal lawyer. With all the label vs. Idol issues, it would seem to be very important for the Idols.

In case yu have better resources than I do or can find a shareholder registry can you find out if they still own or have sold some portion of their shares? Also, Mr Bang was a producer at JYP, I believe, before he became the owner of BigHit. In the first years he was involved in producing producing BTS' music. I read many European newspapers and the Financial Times. It seems that the material on the Min Hee-Jin is the involvement of BTS with DahnWorld . You didn't talk about this and I would enjoy hering your point of view.
It's because Dahnworld is irrelevant. BTS have no time for that. They rarely get vacations. Other kpop groups who graduated on Cyber University weren't dragged as part of a cult. Only BTS was. It only means MHJ was truly malicious to accuse them of being a part of the cult.
No, BTS members have not sold shares, but K-pop agents were charged with insider trading in connection with the agency's shares. In June 2022, three agency employees were accused of selling shares before the band announced they were taking a break. The announcement caused HYBE shares to drop 25% when markets opened, resulting in a loss of nearly $1.4 billion in market value. Prosecutors said the employees had prior knowledge of the announcement and avoided losses ranging from $24,000 to more than $108,000. This is how some media, and content creators manipulate the narrative, the members suffered a loss as a shareholder, they saw a decrease in share value and some people wrongly thought they had sold not understanding about reduced share value.
In a statement, HYBE clarified its stance and said “The members did not sell their stocks. It just means that their shareholder contract with Bang Si Hyuk has ended and thus will no longer be considered special related parties. This has nothing to do with stock sales or changes in the stock.”
I can almost hear the haters say that BSH is greedy af for he expanding his business, all that nonsense sh*t. The end is not looking good for MHJ as it is getting even harder for her to bring down HYBE now that they have acquired a conglomerate status. Jin is interested in games. I think he'd be best suited for the CEO position. I was impressed with his brilliant ideas in Maple story and he's coming back on June 12! 🥰
In my opinion, BTS should own a much larger stake of Hybe - each should have at least 5%. If one of them was to start their own label tomorrow, and if the other six followed, Hybe would be done. I don't hate Hybe, but I also don't think they've done enough to pay back BTS for their blood, sweat and tears that allowed Hybe to exist.
They wouldn't have the capacity nor the capital to start their own company, it is not as easy as you think and they wouldn't be able to trade of their BTS identities, as it is trademarked by HYBE, nor would they want to, why reinvent the wheel when your current company has so many opportunities for you. As far as compensation they are very well compensated in their earnings being multimillionaire. You can be too greedy which can lead to your downfall, I do foresee one day that RM will be the CEO or Chairman of HYBE Bang PD has really given these youngmen the tools they will need to step higher (if they wish, remember not all people want those tyes of positions) in the company they aided to build.

On a different point, I was surprised to see Scooter Braun owns more HYBE shares than an individual member of BTS. Since there would be no HYBE without BTS I always thought the BTS members should have received more shares, now seeing Scooter Braun has more than each member I definitely think the members were not given a fair number of shares. How did Scooter Braun get so many? Wasn't his company Ithaca Holdings bailed out by BSH?
This is not fact, it's just something i'm trying ro remember. SC was not gifted shares in Hybe. He sold Ithaca to Hybe, and bought shares with the money he got for his company. Hybe is a publicly traded company and anyone can buy shares. I also remember one of the bts members already sold some of the stocks he was given, and i feel like i remember one of them bought additional stocks. In addition to the shares they were given, they receive salary and royalties for their copyrighted songs. They are set for life 😊

Great video again! BSH is a visionary to me and it will be interesting to see what happens. It's corporate public record that BTS members are listed as shareholders. Yoongi, Jimin, Jungkook and V have 68,385 shares each. RM, J-Hope and Jin previous sold some of their shares but still have over 150,000 shares beyween them. Meanwhile Bang PD has 13,151,394 shares. Scooter Braun has 362,292 shares. That's because the sold his company to HYBE then with that cash he reinvested it back by buying share's in HYBE which was a very wise business move. It also proves he doesn't want anything to happen to HYBE or he'll lose the money he gains from being a Shareholder.
Tae would be the one to take an active role in HYBE. Why? Because he has a very boss-like attitude. On several occasions he's made decisions and was like get it done. He also has a way of asking people to do things but it's really telling them to do it not asking. But it comes off as polite and genuine. Jin jokes about it so maybe Jin. J Hope may take a dance instructor role.
I think Jin would be a good CEO for a gaming company.....Jk could go for a gaming company or he could become a director or even a mentor( dude is the ACE after all) or he might even become renowned chef after conquering all the music genres. Jimin, I dont know, I dont think he would go into business, I think he would do something related to dance maybe a choreographer or dance mentor for upcoming grps.....V might pursue an acting career or model career....Jhope might become a dance mentor or a judge on huge survival shows whereas Suga would definetly become a massive producer.....RM might also be a producer and lyricist.
That is so very true.
Yes and if Suga does end up in the qualitfy he would be able to part of HYBE's mental Health Team.
Namjoons album is coming in 9 hours 😃
I'm so ready not ready 😱😍
The government also gets 50% of the profits when the owner dies if the heirs don't have proper legal protection and documents.
But you can be sure whether conglomerate or not those companies who do this type of mob business will do it even if they are under government surveillance.
@@ystrw Correct and thank you I couldn't remember the income level and was lookin it up on line. You're a star and yes correct about the 'family run Chaebols' and the extra government over sight of all Conglomerates.
Step down as CEO,he is a chairman, that why the devil woman so jealous, may be Bang pd,never give her a glance😅😅😅
Mr Bang is still Chairman of HYBE he stepped down from being CEO of HYBE is the only thing you got wrong.
Thanks for pointing out Bang only step down from being CEO not chairman. 💜
Plus there is the potential of one or more BTS members becoming actors or directors.
Yes ❤

@@the_blue_mushroom_any person?? Members of BTS arent just any person though. JK was the director for BTS Life Goes On music video. He has self filmed and self edited alot of film vlogs, a hobby for now with his Golden Closet Productions. BTS when filming always reviews behind the scenes of their camerawork and direction and always makes suggestions how to go about scenes in their MVs, I think if they focus on direction in the future they will be more than capable because of their backgrounds and active participations behind the scenes.

You're very good at explaining big topics in a way that it seems simple to understand. Thank you.

HYBE came about as a result of the sheer hard work and dedication of some very young music artists and their manager and continues to grow to this day…
Born of their "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" you could say.
Sorry.
I'll show myself out quietly.
But it's true - on multiple levels.
All KPop isn’t a trustworthy source of information
They sale gossip and even misinformation to get viewers
So, you may enjoy their articles, but don’t trust them
Also, no company, let alone a conglomerate, explains what they do or why, only their shareholders have a right to get those explanations. Still, fyi, in a corporation CEOs can only be fired by the BOD; however, major shareholders can step in and demand a general meeting to fire a CEO, like Hy is doing right now with that woman. It’s what happened in the case you mentioned. Big corporations and conglomerates have to ask when the s**t hits the fan, or they go down
Keep learning, it’s good to always look for answers, instead of staying with the first one you read

I was hoping equity in Bighit was a major component of their new contract compensation, even if there are clauses they can’t sell the shares just like with MHJ with 5% of her shares.
They did not even have voting rights with the stock until this new contract Common stock owners have voting rights
What is your source that BTS members are billionaires? I definitely think they are worth more than all these sites reporting they are worth $30-$50 million each...but Billionaires that is hard to believe. IF they were that rich with no or miniscule equity in either company, I do agree why in the heck would they sign another 7 year contract.

Multi label system works. We have them in the US. MHJ if she has indicated MLS do not work, she is trying to tank and steal a company of course it doesn’t work. She need to use her money if she can’t work well with others.
She went off the rails when more money, spotlight came into play. Bang hired her in 2019. She has had a lot of support from him.
She has burned a bridge. Her manipulation tactics are reminiscent of the revenge C-Dramas I watch. She falls down and then says she was pushed.
Excellent explanation

Yeah sure...and BTS told you that no less at a shareholders meeting...SMH
How was that discussion, enlighten me.
I know they are shareholders, but I don’t think that they are major shareholders
@@bqanto They jointly own about 1.2%. Individually they have holdings of around one fifth of one percent at maximum. They originally had 1.4% between the seven of them but Jin, RM and Hobi each sold a portion of their original holding.
At Hybe’s current market value this equates to about $12 million each for those who kept their original holding (Suga, Jimin, V and Jungkook).

Hybe can also offer employment to qualified idols within the multi-label system as they transition from being idols making it even more appealing to continue their education with support from the company.
They are set for life 😊
@@mirvale87 Thank you for your comment! I was just surprised after receiving a bailout that he would then invest to that degree in HYBE. I didn’t word my original comment clearly.
Great video again! BSH is a visionary to me and it will be interesting to see what happens. I have always seen the rap line as the ones who will become leaders…especially Yoongi and I hope suchwita continues with a longer format. Yoongi’s love for producing could lead to all sorts of things.
💜Military may change their outlook on the future so at the end of this contract they may do more independently….and I see JK who wants to become a global pop star doing more in the US especially after his success with Golden.💜💜
All 7 together could out vote Scooter.
In a statement, HYBE clarified its stance and said “The members did not sell their stocks. It just means that their shareholder contract with Bang Si Hyuk has ended and thus will no longer be considered special related parties. This has nothing to do with stock sales or changes in the stock.”
I can see Suga continue with Suchwita as he enjoys talking with the artists and film people also Suga already has done a game song with Halsey and i am sure he will write and perform his own and he has done other game and t.v add music,I cann see him composing in the future for film but also he wants to remaine with BTS they may cross over to VR games but why not huh all 7 of BTS have shown there talents and ideas to be fabulous and why not go forward making writing producing other areas,I am disapointed that they have so little shares because Big Hit wouldnt be such a big Hit without them,Its irony that Scooter Braun just merges with Hybe and has more shares well i am just hoping that BTS have acumulated millions in there own money each for working themselves into the ground for the company, Sugas Agust D concert made over 3 million per show and look at all the work he put in all by himself and was sick after it .If ARMY find out that BTS has not been treated well and made millions then Karma will bite that company on the ass.
PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO ON WHY HYBE IS NOT TAKING ANY ACTION ON THAT ONE SOURCE WHICH IS CONSTANTLY DEFAMING BTS ON CHART MANIPULATION
Because it's not any defamation,it's the fact lol😂,Even the court has accepted it
@@the_blue_mushroom_ what are u talking about when u say the court has accepted it?..
@@bqanto thank u for a more detailed explanation. Thats why I was questioning the blue_mushroom comment above mine saying its a fact and that the court has accepted it. Like I never heard the courts going on trial and executing judgement of BTS being guilty. These antis really try so hard.
Always grateful for all the learnings you shared with us🫶
Thank you!
