would you be interested in giving us a "tour" of your test equipment and the more odd items in your tool kit? i would be interested in learning more about those fancy boxes you pull out for testing and diagnostics.

I'd be happy to. By fancy boxes though I'm not sure what you mean there...

@@RetroComputingReboot i was referring to the test box you used for the caps. i have seen you use other gear that i would like to know more about. i come from the era of analog Volt-Ohm meters, tube testers, and maybe, just MAYBE (if you're lucky) an oscilloscope.

that's kooky. with their age, i figured those 'lytics would have either dried out or broken down.

That's what I thought. I'd read that these caps can fail and give similar issues, so thought it might have been fixable. That Commodore IC though is seriously expensive to get hold of. I thought as well that it only faulted after it had been on for a while that it maybe from the caps warming up, but hey ho...

i loved my old 500. had a "Fatter Agnes" in it. i really enjoyed the Demos done by various groups. one of my particular favorite demos was "Spaceballs -- State Of The Art". it's still hard to believe this fit on a single 800K floppy disk.

Hey John. I never had an Amiga, I was an Atari ST boy 😂. This one was given to me by my mother in law, so I don't know a great deal about Amigas. Other than paint it and replace the PSU, it's worked fine up until now.
I probably need to get myself a properly broken one and see how I get on 😂
