I think a big part of that is raw milk feeding my gut after I got rid of the inflammation from the wheat. It’s awesome!!

Here in Michigan we have to own/lease part of the cow to get raw milk, but it's been a night and day difference in the health of my kids since we switched to raw milk
We get ours from Two Sparrows farm in Eaton Rapids, they do deliveries to Grand Rapids where we live once a week. I've also heard that there's a farm in Muskegon area that offers shares. Best to check out the local farmers markets, they would probably be able to put you in contact with one near you.
Making a small investment in the actual farm itself makes you a co-owner or at least shareholder. Which means you are now privy to the care of the animal and what it eats and it's life span. I say this is a win-win.
Same here in Colorado. I had to become a herd sharer in order to get raw milk! I get my first delivery on October 1st and am super anxious to see if it will help my back pain. It's been 9 months of constant pain due to a herniated disc.
Two possible reasons for the correlation between fish eaters and melanoma would be: 1. I assume lots of avid fisherman are exposed to more sunlight and tend to eat some of the fish they catch. 2. Likely areas with more fresh fish available for a good price (like near the ocean) are also areas where people spend more time outside with possibly more skin exposed. PS I eat very similar to you, Paul, and have recently come across your content. I love it!
Raw milk changed my life from a bowl movement standpoint . It’s unreal. Not to go into too much info but it makes everything much smoother and better. I will always drink 1-2 cups of raw milk a day.
Regarding user bias on the fish study: those that eat more fish may live closer to a body of water, likely swimming and fishing, causing more exposure to sunlight. Although sun exposure shouldn't cause skin cancer, as you've said before, it could have to do with other foods that they are consuming as well as overexposure, and the fish may not be the cause.
This Doctor is on a whole different level. This diet saved me. Now I’m just worried it’ll grow from our large group to the rest of the world and my sources of raw milk, Grassfed meats, will dry up or become so high demand (already are) that they become an expensive delicacy like Caviar harder to afford or even produce. Or maybe something miraculous could happen, the drug industry I mean the food industry selling cocaine I mean sugar based foods, might actually do this on a large international scale.
Typically, when demand increases, someone finds a way to bring more of what you want to market somewhere which brings down the price. I have a farmer's market nearby that sells raw milk. It's pricey, yea, but I find it to be worth it if I'm not wasting money on other junk instead.
@@davida.taylor8444 the extra money for grass fed beef, organic eggs, raw milk, raw honey, bone broth... these extra costs save lots of money in medical bills in the future!
You WANT the demand to go up so that the supply catches up. Right now it’s so exclusive and treated as a bespoke “specialty health food” (even though it’s pure natural food) because everybody drinks dead anti-nutrient milk.

I live in Olympia Washington and we have these food co op stores in our neighborhoods near the bay that sell local farm product and one of them is cozey valley farms in Tenino Washington. The raw milk is from Jersey cows and the farm the women raises them on is so well kept up and clean. Washington may be a crap hole in areas near Seattle but down near the capital of the state and southern Washington has some of the nicest farm land and clean air :)
I just moved out of Washington and came back to Texas. Originally from Texas but lived up there for two years in Seattle and had enough. Part of me wishes I gave different areas of Washington a chance, bc it rly is a beautiful place.

Dr. Paul, I have been enjoying raw cows milk for a few months now and very much enjoy the taste and the nourishment I experience as a result. I am curious about raw goats milk vs raw cow. Is there a substantial difference between the two?
for the melanoma and fish consumption question, I could think perhaps that healthy user bias is that fish consumption is higher around coastal areas and people by the coast go out in the sun a lot more for recreational activities like surfing, swimming, walking/running on the beach, etc.
I found a raw milk source and get a gallon of A2 raw once a week. I skim that lovely cream off the top and make kefir, paneer and some fermented lemonade out of the whey water. I save back a jar of raw milk just to drink. I go through a gallon a week, just me. I love it.
I gre up drinking pasteurized milk and it always gave me a stomach ache and made my eczema flare up like crazy. For the past 10 years my family has been drinking raw grass fed milk from Jersey cows. I feel great when I drink it. No bloating. No eczema. And it’s literally like a sports drink. I know that Gatorade is horrible and full of sugar and food coloring and flavorings, but when it’s 90 degrees out and you’re dehydrated and water just isn’t doing anything, but you’re able to chug Gatorade and it just hits the spot. Well raw milk does the same exact thing. When I’m really dehydrated but I can’t drink anymore water, I can chug 2 giant glasses of raw milk and I instantly feel hydrated and alive again. I could never do that with pasteurized milk from the store. Just the thought of it could make me gag.
I am a big fan Paul, and found the carnivore code very beneficial to my health. HOWEVER.... I recently started milking my own goats on my homestead and drinking their raw milk... my eczema flared up worse than it had ever been since I was a little kid! So I stopped drinking it and within 3 days the eczema was completely gone again! It's contrary to what I want to believe, but the results are undeniable for me unfortunately.
I haven’t seen evidence that raw milk is more risky than handling raw meat in the place you cook, or more dangerous than sandwich meat or multiple other foods. Also many reports of sickness on pasteurized milk so I don’t think clean raw milk at a regular farm is dangerous than pasteurized milk from the standard poor factory farm conditions. Listeria usually either doesn’t replicate in raw milk and can even be reduced due to the antibacterial aspects and other probiotics while there’s nothing in pasteurized milk to stop it so listeria spreads fast in pasteurized milk and pasteurization does not fully kill it off. Studies showing that also.
I was having sinus problems for many years and it was getting worse. I started drinking raw milk and eating three eggs a day a year ago. My sinus problems all but disappeared.
@@breezythegod3630 In the last six months I've had to take benadryl once and that was when I had cold like symptoms. Before that I was taking it for two or three days two or three times a month.
The carnivore diet definitely helps! I was allergic to eggs (I made a medical test) and reacted with severe psoriasis on my scalp and migraines to them. After 2 weeks on carnivore, it completely vanished and I am now able to eat eggs without those reactions. :) I did not have raw dairy, only pasteurized butter.
FISH ANSWER: People who eat more fish are more likely to live around the sea, which also means they have increased exposure to sunlight. That is especially important around the Mediterranean where everyone living close to the shore has increased fish consumption and also sunlight exposure. That sounds reasonable to me...
the lactose in milk is the only carb that does not damage the glycobiome and specifically the glycocalyx of your epithelial cells, and instead repairs it. any other glucose (plant-based carb) intake will cause varying (least maple syrup > honey > fruit > veggies most) degrees of damage to the glycobiome/glycocalyx and result in allergies, asthma, and other conditions.

I still feel that drinking milk ( even raw ) is a gray area. I grew up drinking milk, but since 2009 I haven't touched it unless it's fermented. I was taught back in 2009 that after the age of 3, you no longer have the enzyme to digest milk. Milk was meant for babies only, so after you're weaned from your mother, that's it for milk unless it's pre-digested. That's what fermentation is, pre-digested. My teaching is that cow milk is for cows only. Camel milk is for camels only. Human milk is for humans only ( babies ) etc. But I'm not challenging Dr. Paul's intake here. He's one smart cookie. Ever since I read the Carnivore Code, he's has become my favorite researcher..
Paul, i have a question, i was listening at a podcast from another doctor and he stated that we need variety a diversity of everything because the more microbiome we get the better it is for our gut. and that's including tuberculous, vegetables etc...
It's amazing. I have been allergic to dairy all my life. When I finally worked up the nerve to try raw dairy, I was blown away. No allergies and actually breathed better than I could ever recall. Sadly I can't access it where we are now.
Keep your raw milk unrefrigerated / Don't refrigerate your milk when you get it from the store, just keep it in ambient room temp, in order for it to age / culture nicely. Seriously. It's awesome excellence. Raw milk turns bitter in the refrigerator beyond a week or two, rather than nicely culturing. Just keep it in the bottle. Gas expansion occurs in the bottle, but it's good/great. Pasteurized milk is more congestive/gunky causing of congestive diseasements, which is most disease.
True. It's a bitter smelly taste and smell. I paid top dollar and was disappointed when I had to dump the remaining. But I'll try to make clabber milk as you've suggested and see. Thanks

People who eat more fish usually live closer to sea where cloudy weather is more rare and sunny weather is most often. Also most of sea cities and villages are in tropical and subtropical
Most people who used to eat fish don't anymore either. Japan for example is touted as an example. Only the older people ate fish. Younger people all eat mostly processed garbage same as any American.
Increased rates of melanoma for fish consumption -> people who live near coastal areas and spend a lot of time at the beach or boating get far higher rates of sun exposure and also incidentally eat a lot more fish because of the ubiquitous availability of fresh fish in those regions and the fishing/marine culture in those areas...

I've heard so many good things about raw milk and am eager to try it (eventhough it's not easily available where I live). Dutch meadows farm in PA is a great place. I live in Michigan and order from them if anyone is interested in getting raw milk and don't have raw milk in their area. Also they sell colostrum and a variety of other high quality products.
So I'm curious about something, and maybe one of you in the comment section can clear things up for me. About a year ago Paul posted a video, about dairy, where he states: "when I eat dairy. It triggers my eczema a little bit, and I get a little bit of itchiness on my beard and on my scalp." He mentions that he cannot tolerate either goat milk, cows milk, ghee, etc. So, my question is: what changed, and how did it change? In his newer videos he talks a lot about dairy, and shows it in his daily diet. Is it just a matter of fixing gut health, or does he just muscle through it regardless of the itchiness?
I'd be inclined to associate higher rates of melanoma with high fish consuming populations to the possible fact that higher fish consumption may be taking place in coastal AND sunnier locations. Is more fish consumption happening in locations that receive more annual sunshine--which could equate to higher melanoma rates? That would be a place to check...
@@jeffbro1021 Yeah, there are always so many variables to consider and I haven't looked into the research yet. I am doubting my hypothesis a bit more though because there are so many populations who eat fish in northern latitudes as well. I'd like to see melanoma rates by location--then compare with fish consumption data.
Dairy is one of the top 8 food allergens, is this due to pasteurization? Is it safe in its natural, raw form? I ask because I suffer from psoriasis and dairy is a major no no for psoriasis sufferers, wondering if raw would be ok.
Someone who worked at a dairy when they were young tried to warn me that there is poop in the milk. Maybe in the large commercial dairies, but even if there was some, it is cow poop, not parisite filled like carnivore (animal type) so no worries. Have a gallon in the fridge and going to get some more this weekend. The cream on the top is so damn good.
Good luck trying to find raw milk where do I live tho. One day I tried it, but I'm not sure if it was actually raw and organic. Ended up sneezing, with a sore throat and acne after a few days. Is there a way to substitute them? What foods are good substitutes?
I honestly compare this to breast milk - most kids that drink “raw” BM don’t have asthma and etc etc etc Drinking the milk - as it was intended - will obviously have more benefits The goal of the mother’s body is to pass whatever nutrients and microbes through her milk so cows must do the same for their young B feeding for 2 years now - never had asthma , allergies, ear infection, any infection actually, taken Tylenol once in 2 years that’s it.
Hi Paul (or anyone with experience on this) - I love the idea of Raw milk and recently start drinking it. However, at the same time I had a flare up of Ulcerative Colitis and wasn't sure if it made sense to keep drinking raw milk for the probiotic effect or if I should avoid it for now because of the high FODMAP score... thoughts?
If your body is reacting to it, the best thing to do is not drink raw milk. I can’t drink raw milk because I got sick from it. Not everyone has the same effect. I know one guy who is lactose intolerant and drinking raw cow and raw goats milk did not make a difference. He felt better when he drank lactose free milk. Now does this mean raw milk is not healthy? No it just means we are not one of the individuals that would benefit from raw milk.
Do people who eat fish have more ability to be exposed to excess sun because they live in areas where fishing is more prevalent and thus often more likely to have weather that allows for more sun exposure. i.e. Coastal areas. Mediterranean, and Asian regions eat more fish but also have more exposure to sun than northern and non coastal areas.
To answer the fish/melanoma question:. People who live in coastal areas eat more fish. People in coastal areas spend time outside in the sun and at the beach. The sun may be a factor in the melanoma. Just a theory.
Bullshit theory. Stay in the basement all your life. Or you are talking about all these sun creams protective bullshit 30-40-50 ? Loaded with all kind of cancer shit?
I have a question for you. I buy raw milk here in the stores, but it's not regularly available. There is another milk here that is not homogenized and is only vat pasteurized. Is it possible to combine the two together to make my raw milk go farther? Or would it detract from the nutrients in my raw milk? Thanks.
Please excuse my question if the answer is not too obvious, when you say "raw milk", you mean you don't boil it and drink it just as it comes out of the cow right?
Just regarding the fish: I could imagine a healthy/unhealthy user bias in this scenario. People who eat fish are more aware of the health. People are aware of their health go out in nature more often. Going out to nature more often increases the amount of UV waves one is exposed to. UV rays are the main risk factor for melanoma. Therefore, fish itself might not be the cause of increased melanoma rates. Other than that, one could also imagine higher rates of fish consumption in populations that are more exposed to UV rays (people who like near waters).
Can you make a video on the benefits of honey in your diet? I recently added to my meals pre and post workout and I honestly feel more energy when doing jiu jitsu

I love it!
Melanoma is not caused by sunlight.

That’s wonderful. I have a lot of problems having a daily bowel movement. Any more tips?
@Danny farmers usually sell it individually, at least where i live
Regarding user bias on the fish study: those that eat more fish may live closer to a body of water, likely swimming and fishing, causing more exposure to sunlight. Although sun exposure shouldn't cause skin cancer, as you've said before, it could have to do with other foods that they are consuming as well as overexposure, and the fish may not be the cause.
The scandinavian people are among the heaviest fish eaters in the world and their sun exposure is practically zero.

I live in Olympia Washington and we have these food co op stores in our neighborhoods near the bay that sell local farm product and one of them is cozey valley farms in Tenino Washington. for the melanoma and fish consumption question, I could think perhaps that healthy user bias is that fish consumption is higher around coastal areas and people by the coast go out in the sun a lot more for recreational activities like surfing, swimming, walking/running on the beach, etc.
Eating fish and getting melanoma might correlate with living near the ocean.
I found a raw milk source and get a gallon of A2 raw once a week. I skim that lovely cream off the top and make kefir, paneer and some fermented lemonade out of the whey water. I save back a jar of raw milk just to drink. I go through a gallon a week, just me. I love it.

Were in the Midwest. We buy A2 pastured raw milk for $ 2.50 a gallon :)

the lactose in milk is the only carb that does not damage the glycobiome and specifically the glycocalyx of your epithelial cells, and instead repairs it. any other glucose (plant-based carb) intake will cause varying (least maple syrup > honey > fruit > veggies most) degrees of damage to the glycobiome/glycocalyx and result in allergies, asthma, and other conditions.

Thanks

I think switching to raw dairy
As far as i know he drinks raw milk kefir. Which is fermented milk, and helps with digestion.
Does freezing raw milk damage the nutrients or healthbenefits of the milk?
It can destroy the enzymes that are beneficial for your digestive system, while the nutrients remain.
Interesting point but research never goes that far…. It always leaves my questioning even more
@@jeffbro1021 Yeah, there are always so many variables to consider and I haven't looked into the research yet. I am doubting my hypothesis a bit more though because there are so many populations who eat fish in northern latitudes as well. I'd like to see melanoma rates by location--then compare with fish consumption data.

That means your body try to get rid of toxins in your body. You are full of toxins. Do not eat shit american diet and drink raw milk.
Do you think raw protein powder has similar health benefits or probiotics in it as raw milk?
I honestly compare this to breast milk - most kids that drink “raw” BM don’t have asthma and etc etc etc
Drinking the milk - as it was intended - will obviously have more benefits
The goal of the mother’s body is to pass whatever nutrients and microbes through her milk so cows must do the same for their young
B feeding for 2 years now - never had asthma , allergies, ear infection, any infection actually, taken Tylenol once in 2 years that’s it.
awesome!!
You're going through a detox lol I know it sounds weird
So any raw milk should from mothers should be good any recommendations?
Do people who eat fish have more ability to be exposed to excess sun because they live in areas where fishing is more prevalent and thus often more likely to have weather that allows for more sun exposure. i.e. Coastal areas. Mediterranean, and Asian regions eat more fish but also have more exposure to sun than northern and non coastal areas.
Exactly. Pretty obvious bias that I’m disappointed he missed
Would appreciate knowing the mic / camera you’re using?
What about if you have acne / rosacea is this still safe too drink?
Will raw milk be beneficial or harmful for fatty liver?
I live in Australia and sadly it's Illegal to sell raw milk. Is "cold press milk" a better substitute?
