Feel free to leave your suggestions for what i should react to next
in the comments down below!
Thanks for watching and have a nice day/evening/night! :)
"that solo was something else"
That describes probably like 99% of buckets life
The other 1% is advocating for chicken’s rights
I guess Im asking randomly but does anyone know of a method to log back into an instagram account?
I somehow forgot my account password. I love any help you can offer me
@Shiloh Brian instablaster :)
Buckethead is legendary. He made that solo up too. Very different compared to the studio version
he adlibs alot in live performances its quite impressive
Best improvising ever by a guitarist, he's a legend
Imagine recording all instruments of an entire album and releasing one of those albums every single week. He has more than 370 albums to his name, the man's a legendary beast of incomprehensible proportions. It'll take years to listen to his entire discography
....I don't think my brain can even process how many hours of work must be behind that. Does this guy ever sleep? :)
Metachros 305 studio albums to be exact
He is god of guitar ..I love him ..he is the greatest
Buckethead is one of those artists you don’t just listen to, but you feel what he’s playing
No one can make a guitar sing and tell a story like Buckethead can
This guy shreds so well! He is methodical in his playing and it is mesmerizing!
I seen Buckethead at the Trocadero Philadelphia 10 years ago. He is amazing!
I love Buckethead especially soothsayer, and Jordan the most.. this song was made in the dedication of his grandmother who gave him a guitar... Sadly she is not around to see this song but I think she would of been so proud of Brian Carroll... He is no doubt a living legend.
Perfectly said... first time I heard it I was hypnotized too. To see your reaction, is how I feel every time I watch this video... he is Legendary.
Finally someone with a Buckethead day. Instasubbed! Instead of doing all the obvious tracks by Buckethead, you should try "Earth Heals Herself". A Jazz/Blues fusion track which imo is one of his best...
Bozo in the Labyrinth.
wise choice
population override is a pretty great album by him
Baptism of solitude, whitewash interworld animal behaviour. Scraps. Padmasana. So many greats.
My fav buckethead song is earth heals herself!
Once you hear Buckethead you're an instant fan. He represents us guitarists well. The true ambassador of Gee-Tar!
more buckethead!!!!!
nice pic... xD
Buckethead is ❤
"no idea what im getting into here"
Well, good luck mate
...Yep,many Buckethead songs later and he just keeps on surprising! :)
@@JohnG_YT its on my funeral playlist.
Answer? A lifelong obsession with Buckethead. With over 300 albums he's given us a lifetime of music to digest and enjoy endlessly. He's the Goat. Hands down.
"He's just a guy with a KFC bucket on his head, long hair, and apparently impressive guitar skills" All of these are true but also LOOK AT THE SIZE OF HIS HANDS. His signature guitar is already an extra long scale length (I think 28"? Don't quote me) and he still makes the neck look like a 3/4 size guitar lmao. It's an impressive level of disproportion, boy got himself some Hendrix hands.
Yeah, i actually mentioned his hands/fingers in my other Buckthead videos. They say that you don't need long fingers to play guitar...but it sure makes some things easier :D
@@JohnG_YT Ahh I figured you might have done so, I haven't watched the other videos yet. You definitely don't need those gargantuan hands to play well, it's just one of those things you don't notice until one day you see it and you're like "wait a minute" haha.
Haha your face when he really goes for it! Seriously man check out Lurker at the Threshold you won't be disappointed. Awesome viewing as usual John keep these videos coming 👍
Thanks Col :) I definetly didn't expect him to go THAT hard but he did!
Crazy skilled artist
Welcome to the club dude
Who else on the PLANET gets tone and precision like that while shredding that fast? I sincerely believe Buckethead may be the most masterful guitar player in history.
Buckethead is the best ! 😊😊
My Favorite Buckethead Review! My sentiments exactly ❤ Thanks John🌻🌿
Your reaction was fantastic! Buckethead is one of the most amazing guitarists ever!
Saw him live this last New Year's Eve. Great way to ring in the new year! He's about 6 ft 6 in. and has very long fingers, making it easier than someone with stumps...LOL
Welcome to the ride! check out his discography
hes gunna shit himself when he sees that discog lol
It’s hard to type out how rad bucket is. His shows are cheap and venues are small so it’s more personal, he will play like that just him and his amp for 2 hours straight feet from your face that is melting, do karate, hand out toys at the end. He also releases new tracks that are upwards to 14mins every other day on bandcamp that you can download free. He’s about the music. Can’t say anything like that about any other artists I can think of.
Buckethead plays the guitar like playing the piano on the strings
Those fingers are not human :) Nano-Nano!
Bro you can't address him as "this guy". He's a God. 300+ studio albums, from metal, blues, ballads, his own "chicken" style. Whatever. This guy is a genius
This was my first encounter with him,so i just naturally went for that :)
I've watched this and others of yours more than once.. Buckethead is Phenomenal. Hopefully some day I can throw you a request idea!!
Soothsayer is great solo in record, but night of the slunk live solo is MAN... so great !
He's awesome with a band too. Check out Praxis, Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains, Giant Robot.
i love the way he write his music, sometimes i love the improvisations but sometimes i hate it too because he supress part of the feel he put in the studio record :P ... sad thing most of his live performances are "bootlegs" not a HD but still something worth the time to watch. I suggest you should check "Nothingam Lace " live , and a long but still great piece "Project Little Man"
I adhere to the live improvisations and I would also like to he play more songs of the pikes live, but in all the ways he is the best for me
Plot twist Buckethead is Marty Friedman and Slash fused
This song was written for his aunt Susie before she died
You nailed it brother
If you take a Deep study look at his hands and his dexterity he has so much coverage over that fret board its amazing.. God gifted talent.. I love this song one man show... great talent.. thanx for your reaction
Thanks for watching! :) And his control and precision is just mindblowing!
Great reaction!!!
(Project Little Man )is my absolute favorite of all.. 19 minutes of pure greatness
Buckethead is God ♥️✨
His master Paul Gilbert is god.
Awesome review of Buckethead!!
Thank you :)
love the bucket!!!!
its so great to see people hearing buckethead for the first tme!
just found your channel by this, and decided to sub and look for the rest of these!
there is also an amazing version of soothsayer in the 2016 admore music hall show, a user named chris i believe is the uploder.
its one of the few in 4k, definately worth seeing him just get into the song with the audience and play it with such emotion. much like this version it is different than the studio version.
i was a teen i think when i first heard this,. have memory damage so i do not remember,.
the first time i heard this I just started to tear up, and i was not sure why, i only knew wow this track is so emotional.. i had a friend a bit beyond being super fan who told me it was written for an aunt of his.
the emotion in his music is just strong,, that not knowing anything of the songs history you feel what hes playing. i forget which pike this was honestly there are so many amazing tracks.
i dont know if anyone can even name a top 10!
a track i feel does not get enough love definitely in my top 20 buckethead tracks , is "Crack the sky"
if you havent herd siege engine i also suggest it if you ever do buckethead songs again.
then of course finding a badass live version of "welcome to buckethead land" with the vocalizations on the backing track is always awesome, he has played so many great variations of that track.
looking forward to seeing your first impressions of other tracks!
Did all that in a mask and bucket of KFC on his head. impressive.
This album is an acid trip on its own, lol!
"How creative is this guy?"
uhmmm MORE OR LESS 300+ ALBUM OF 50+ MINUTES EACH..
YES. 300. PLUS. FUCKIN. ALBUMS.
No joke.
That's how much. :)
Uh,oh....WHAT????? That is NUTS!
@@JohnG_YT indeed it is
The best ever... Buckethead is not from Earth
Buckethead himself is something else ive seen him live twice and holy fuck! That man makes it look so fucking easy. Hes a guitar playing god. Not 2 mention he has over 300 studio albums.
Just stopped by to hear the master play again. Your reaction was on target and you seem to understand the man behind the mask. Now imagine you have close to four hundred albums of his to wow you in the future, enjoy!!
and that was short compared to the studio version, let me tell you.
anyway, this track is just beautiful, a nice way to introduce yourself to Buckethead.
What I'd give to see the guitar faces he's making under that mask...
John,
Being someone who is just about 6 weeks into listening to the greatness that is Buckethead, I can truly say I appreciate every reaction video you have posted on him! One I would highly recommend you react to is Redeem Team off of Albino Slug. Keep up the good work!✌😎
youv got a long road ahead my friend! how many albums have you gotten thru? he has 300+
Dudes on a whole other level!!!
Hi, i highly suggest you to react to Lurker at the Threshold from Buckethead, you wont regret it.
Ive seen him twice(2016 &2019 a week and a half ago) and both shows were great and totally different
i bid you welcome and your reactions are so on point, just listen to your subscribers they will point you the way to the best guitarists (buckethead is my fav - he has been called the modern Chopin)
Im not a guitar player by any means but i feel people with long fingers can play more notes and have better sounding musics than people with shorter fingers..
not necessarily the case but it absolutely helps with playing faster notes and longer chords
Bro, kindly react to Meliani, a cute girl from Indonesia who covered this song. You'll amazed with her Talent.
she´s really good but playing it way different cos of her short fingers...
I wish Buck could see these ... John is a great spokesman. and humorous in his own way.
Thank you! :)
If i could fly - Joe Satriani - Cover by YOYO
Welcome to BucketheadLand
What you said about not talking during a solo just got you a new sub. Great video bro
Buckethead doesn't need vocals on any of his music. If you're a true fan and you know his guitar is what sings
if anyone listening to this song says that it doesn't inspire them to pick up a guitar, they are a liar.
Facts.
Should react to Luca Stricagnoli. Have only ever found one reaction to him. He'll amaze you with his talent. He literally plays multiple guitars at once on several tracks. Also a 6 string 7 string and a 3 string reversed bass triple neck.
GNR's sweet child if mine is a great one for hearing him for the first time.
Cool vid. greetings from Turkey. and listen just amazing song of Buckethead - Shapeless
Hey Hohn, try Old Toys Buckethead. Know you’ll dig it.
Really enjoy listening.
from malaysia supporter..
pls. more buckethead, you can listen Crumple (Pike 213) or pike 65! pls!
I love how on two or three occasions he's almost trying to look round the impossible corner of a 2D image in order to try and figure out how he's doing it :D
You got me! :D I do that a lot ,when i want get intrigued by something in a video :)
@@JohnG_YT hahaha yeah I do it too! I think sometimes you can get so involved in what you're watching that you can almost "forget" that you're not actually there. Probably in this case your brain was searching for a way to see around that mic stand, maybe. I love watching reactions to this particular video, it was my first exposure to Buckethead also and I think I reacted pretty much the same way and have ever since. I saw someone once describe it as the gateway drug to the rest of his catalogue and that's certainly been true for me. I must just share this one with you in case you haven't seen/heard it. It's utterly stunning and you'll love it!!

Look how long his pinky finger is . . . In the thumbnail wtf . . . 😳
Check out any of his 249 album's. A couple favorite songs of mine are Strips of Paper and Liquid Mantis.
My favorite guitarist and composer. Try the song Jordan live at the Culture Room
he's your favorite guitarist and your only suggestion is Jordan, yeah, you seem to know his work a lot...
@@rashid.boulawan : Uh, I have almost 300 of his albums, so yeah, I do know his work. Jordan is the next most viewer-attracting song he could do. Viewers equal subscribers and money in his pocket. Plus it's a unique, good and flashy song.
Every word you said...I thought too..
LIsten to the studio version now....Its even better
Yup lol I learned this song over 7 yrs ago an still struggle with parts of it ..

This "World class" musician will always give me a trip to an other side of musicals emotions.David Gilmour is the only other musician who give me tath kind of emotional trip with a guitar befor Buckethead. Can you do an first time reaction of Buckethead Nothingham Lace song? Hi John! Unfortunately, I had a seizure from a chronic infection and I'm currently in the hospital. Please keep me in your prayers and thoughts.
Buckethead is surprisingly skilled and absolutely kills it every time!
That is horrible :( I hope you'll get better in no time! Sending positive vibes your way and will do your Disturbed request today,to make your day (hopefully) at least a little bit better! Stay strong! :)
@@JohnG_YT TY JohnG! I look forward to your reaction to Disturbed's newest track. I will be in the hospital a while, but I will enjoy your reaction videos in the meantime. Thank you for what you do for all of us!
I hope you're doing better man!
