    even if you don't react to his music, do yourself a HUGE favor and dive into this guy's music. I'm 56 and only learned of this guy 5 years ago. Have seen him play live a few times and he's the real deal and then some. And you're spot on....he makes that guitar talk. there is a shit ton of magic in that bucket. best stories you'll ever hear without a word being uttered. oh and not too shabby for someone that has massive stage fright, hence the mask and bucket. I'm telling you, this guy is beyond anything I've ever heard.

      I've only recently got on the Buckethead train. But he's easily my favorite guitarist, sorry Jimmy and Eddie.

    Idk if anyones mentioned this, but Soothsayer, was written for his aunt. The woman who bought him his first guitar. Who was dying of cancer, and did pass away. She got to hear this song before she went. So, there is a ton of emotion behind this song. Incredible song through and through. The story behind the song, and him being her soothsayer on her death bed and letting her know that she enabled a life he never could have imagined.

    Buckethead plays all the genres. Blues, Metal, Shred, Jazz fusion, Pop..you name it, he masters it.

      @HumayunQureshi Jason Richardson is the only one who comes close to Brian Carroll. I have to agree Buckethead is by far the world's best guitarist of all time.

      I know this is a pretty mainstream thing to say but Marty Friedman easily. His phrasing is unlike any other. That or Jason Becker.

      Definitely not a machine. Listen to all the different versions of Soothsayer, and you'll see that everyone is different.

    Fun fact: Paul Gilbert, the legend behind Technical Difficulties actually taught Buckethead how to play guitar wheb they were both young.

    You should really check out his song "hold me forever" from pike 65. He wrote it after his mom died, I believe, and it is just packed with emotion.

    Yeah I'm always a fan of guitar solo with no words, only really started listening to him a few days ago, this is one of my new favorites forsure. Man I'd love to see him in person, only reason I really checked it out is because he use to be with guns n roses for a few years so I decided to check him out. Glad I did, this dude is amazing man.

    What a great reaction. Loved watching your facial expressions change 😂. I only discovered Bucket like nearly 2 years ago and he’s easily my favourite guitarist now. I wish I could go back to the day I discovered him. Was up all night on RUclips and I’ve been listening to him every day ever since. Mind blowing! Also check out his band The Deli Creeps from the early 90s.

    Buckethead is what happens when you get a very reclusive person, with natural skill, that spends all of the time you spend watching shows/TikToks/insert time wasting things here, practicing the guitar. He has recorded and released a ridiculous amount of music.

    Buckehead is the only artist I know of that has put out at least one album per month (on average) for over 30 years straight.
    No other musician on Earth has a catalog like that. Not even close.

    One little tip, do more buckethead reactions, and do the studioversion. Not that he isn't good live, he is live a monster. I know a lot of songs from him and i can say the studioversions are filled with detail you cant hear live.

    The greatest of all time. Guitarist stick to their one style/sound. Brian Patrick Carroll is the one guitarist to rule them all….he has mastered all genres, no other can say anything close. He can thrash your metal harder than anyone you have seen in your entire life.

    This is not the best version. Yesterday, March 27, 2024, Buckethead produced their 656th album. He is the most prolific, talented and modest musician alive. I recommend Animal Behavior, Siege Engine, Interworld and the New Innocence, etc. Thank you for the post and the reactions
