Buckethead is the GOAT. Literally. Man has over 600+ solo albums, played with Guns N Roses, has kept his identity an absolute mystery all 53 years of life. He definitely has the deepest of rabbit holes. He has music for every genre and the emotion he pours into every single track is immeasurable. He has a 2 hour interview posted with his therapist and he actually talks and it's the only time you really hear his human side. Or him at all, really. He's thee God.
A beautiful tribute to his Aunt who gave him his first guitar and set him on coarse to become the best of all time. You can hear the love and pain in every note. This what it sounds like when a man's soul sings through a Guitar.
I'm 68 and discovered Buckethead in 2014. He has become my go to daily musician. But beware, for his is the deepest rabbit hole of all...must be 600 albums or so by now.😢
I don't listen to anything else anymore. He tells stories with that guitar without saying a word. This man is truly on a different level of guitar playing (well in my little corner of the world).
Yesterday, March 27, 2024, Buckethead produced their 656th album. He is the most prolific, talented and modest musician alive. I recommend Animal Behavior, Siege Engine, Interworld and the New Innocence, etc. Thank you for the post and the reactions🙏
been listening to bucket since the late 90's and i could suggest great tunes by him all day. hes got something for everyone. for someone relatively new to bucketheadland, i would probably point you towards animal behavior/interworld, inferno, lotus island, dawn appears, mt. shasta, whitewash, sparks in the dark, sketches of spain, mrs beasly, sled ride, sanctum lurker at the threshold parts 1-4, my sheetz, sea of expanding shapes, waiting here, the entire "hold me forever" album...to name a few...cheers from vermont
Yes! So glad you guys did Buckethead. He has been in playing bands since the early 90s. He’s from California. And yes, he does wear a Michael Myers mask. According to Buckethead he is a robot that was raised by chickens. He wears the bucket to commemorate his family that was killed by KFC. He was in Guns and Roses for a little while. He brings a big bag of toys to his shows. Like a big Santa bag full of matchbox cars and stuff like that. He tosses them out to the audience, and will let fans come on stage and play his guitar. During his shows he will do the robot dance and whip around nunchucks which he’s good at. He never speaks. A real cool robot of a guy. I want to help out Grandpa Ricky so you guys should try “Jordan” by Buckethead. Theres a few live versions, but I don’t know which is best. Buckethead loves basketball so theres also a song named “LeBron”. Theres also 1000 or so other songs by him. He plays ALOT. And he even makes his records cheap for the fans.
Buckethead is one of those rare musicians that can make you feel what he was feeling when he wrote those songs without uttering a single word. In this song... you can literally hear him slice his soul on his guitar with every notes he makes. You can hear that he was sad. The "follow-up" (Sail-on Soothsayer) which was written after "Aunt suzie" (to whom Soothsayer is dedidcated) died... is quite emotionnal as well.
Park City, Kentucky here! I'm a HUGE fan of Buckethead! Going to see him for the 3rd time In a few weeks, but this time it's in a CAVE in Tennessee! He's the greatest player EVER! Glad yall caught the storytelling. Lyrics would ruin his songs! ✌️❤️🔥🤘
I know that I am new to ya'll channel but I have a request if I can. Could ya'll PLEASE react to Missing my parents by Buckethead. It's one of my favorites by him and it is one of the many that he shows so much emotion in his playing. Oh, and Wanda you might need to bring some Kleenexes. Thank you very much!!!
Yes, I can tell you are new to our channel, because Ricky is the softy. He usually needs the Kleenexes before I do. LOL. Thanks for watching with us. We have added your suggestion to our list.
now this is wholesome content. What youtube was made for. BTW, buckethead was the guitarist who replace slash in guns n roses for their latest album. He is also imo the most technically skilled guitarist ever. Also has put out over 400 albums. Think he averaged a new album every 3 days for a year straight once. Its insane how much material he has put out.
Some of his best song in my opinion. The Motrail Part 2 Siege Engine The Closed Triptych Sonor Rainbow Hold Me Forever Celery I know im forgetting some. He is wearing a Michael Myers mask from Friday the 13th. He wears it and some sort of a bucket for every show. He is notoriously private and hides his face as a way to help with severe anxiety from performing. He is a very humble guy and is known to carry shows on longer if the crowd makes requests. He also is very good using nun-chucks and will sometimes use them in shows. A huge basketball fan he has written and dedicated songs (Jordan and Redeem Team) to some of his favorite players. He briefly played for Guns and Roses in the early 2000s and even auditioned to play with Ozzy but Ozzy thought he was a little nuts but then again all geniuses are a little nuts :)
Ozzy thought he was a little nuts?! Kinda blows the mind. Thank you for sharing all this information with us. We have added your suggestions to our list.

Hey there. Like the video. I've been listening to all sorts of music throughout my life, but barely listening to this a few months ago. The only things I've heard is...he's from Atlanta, born 1969. Somebody stated that he used to sit in a chicken coup as a lil kid, with his guitar, watching classic horror movies from the nearby drive-in. Supposedly scratched/scarred after being attacked by chickens. Don't know.
I first became aware of Buckethead just prior to the album from Serj Tankian's (of System of A Down) label Serjikal Strike Records. Buckethead & Friends: Enter The Chicken. Lot's of good songs there. All of them are worthy of reaction, but I will note that tracks 5 through 8 are way a way different, downright mellow speed than the intensity of the beginning and the end. The most similar to this track, and one of his most renown, is the final one. Nottingham Lace. For more of this, spread out over like ten minutes, give that one a shot. They're all great though.
This man is in a class all his own. If you plan on diving deeper I can give you links to live videos . I've been collecting them for a while. Also can give you a link to his discography by poliploi8. Enjoyed the reaction. ❤
We will certainly be circling back and reacting to more Buckethead. If there is a particular song or songs you would like for us to react to, we welcome your suggestions.
If you want to see/hear him in his prime, you should watch the "Buckethead - Interworld/Animal Behavior - Wetlands, NY 4/30/97 REMASTER" video. He`s probably one of the, is not THE best guitar player alive right now. He plays and has mastered every style there is, from Blues to Metal, Jazz fusion and Ambient, he`s got it. Also yes, he wears a mask. Noone has ever seen his face, we know his name is Brian Patrick Carrol but that`s about it. He`s very shy so the mask takes away his stage fright.
Buckethead wears a KFC bucket and a white mask on his head. He has so much much it is hard to keep track of it all. - San Diego. Different, but check out his Electric Tears album.
Well, we reacted to it because our viewers requested that we do so. We didn't really know about Buckethead. Be sure to let us know if there is a particular video you would like to see us react to.
@@grandparentsreact Sorry for such a curt comment just frustrated. It's probably the poor #ound quality over the song itself that irks me. Buckethead's vast discography is hard to capture in a single (short) song but Soothsayer probably captures his melodic sensibilities ok. The arrangement on the front end is a bit longwinded and its awkward to see reactors like yourself have to "wait for it" when so much he does steals your soul from the getgo....but are usually very long! No worries take care!
LISTEN TO "HOLD ME FOREVER" by buckethead. Might not be your cup of tea but my god is the greatest guitar album ive ever heard. at 14:55 in the album he starts the longest and most energetic guitar solo ive ever heard in my life

Whenever this pops up I have to listen, he is the master on guitar. He always wears a bucket and a mask letting his guitar take center stage.
