This would be a great base for a Superior Spider-Man first costume custom. He already got the right colors, shape of eyes, and shape of spider symbols. All he needs is some changes on hands and feet and BAM.
Oh man, my aunt gifted me this figure back in 2004 for my 8th Birthday. I remember falling in love with it. Though firstly, I didn't like the way it looked. But I did find it weirdly cool. I kept on coming back to this figure because of the articulations. I guess I remember this figure to be extremely poseable. Even the build quality felt Superior. Almost felt indestructible as a kid. Even though I was a kid, this figure had a Weight to it, and even though I've dropped it a couple of times.....it still looked brand new. Too bad we shift very frequently because of my Mother's job, so I kind of lost it. It's super expensive now, so I just keep it as a happy memory. The Action Figure Industry isn't the same anymore. I think they deteriorated post 2009
It could be a perfect base model for a custom first appearance superior spider-man. It has better articulation than the Marvel Select one. I'm looking forward to get one of those. Nice video, cheers.
Great review, I actually had this guy queued up for a video review myself but you beat me to the punch (can that even be said with a 12 year old toy?). I always found it funny that Spider-Man misspelled his own name on the base's note, considering he left out the dash.
Did they use the exact same head for Marvel Legends Superior Spider-man? Infact with the colour scheme it looks exactly like the Original Superior Spider-man costume, (the original red and blue/black with blue outlines but with larger eyes)
Glenn my boy, great review. Keep up the good work! The Spidey on the far right is the "Super Strength Spider-Man" from the Amazing Spider-Man series 16 from '06, I think it was. Quite a cool fig, loads of articulation and it looks a bit inspired by David Finch's artwork. It goes for a lot online, where'd you get it from?
Oh thanks for the info. I have no idea where I got it from. I guess from a job lot I got on ebay. I forgot I had it and came across it this past week. His middle two fingers were missing on one hand though and I just swapped in a movie figure's fingers which were a good fit.
I had this toy second hand as a kid. I loved it so much, unfortunately some other kid stole it and I've been trying to find the same figure ever since.
do you think; if you could, you would somehow re-sculpt the neck to give him a disc hinge? Do you know how to do that? It seems pretty far fetched, but I would love the figure more if it did have one.
My Spider man the same make-model is a little loose/soft all over body. Is there any way to fix? That happened in childhood, a friend got him jealous and I didn't see what he did but left my Spider-man all soft. And now I really wish that I could fix it
Great vid Glenn! Ive got the one on the end, ive had it since i was a kid, an i still do lol i think its from some kind of tv Spiderman line like the amazing Spiderman, but in not sure of the exact name sorry, but keep up the goooood work!
that spiderman that you didn't know of is from spiderman classics. He's called super strength spidey as well. I guess toy biz really couldn't make shit up anymore. XD
cool video Glenn not a bad looking figure kinda reminds me of the first appearance spiderman mixed with the alex ross spiderman and of course superior spiderman and the gimmick isnt too bad compared to the ones we get today where the gimmick figures dont have much articulation at all this one at least has some options with poses and wouldnt be a bad choice for a spiderman display anyway keep up the awesome videos
Generally 2002 had better articulation than most toys today. When you think this wasn't made for collectors then the equivalent in today's marketplace would be like a mighty battlers or mashers
Hi Glenn the on you are wondering abou, it is the Spider-Strength Spider-Man(www.toydorks.com/displayproduct.php?item=112672), That is actually my personal fav Spiderman....as I have a lot of them to choose from. It does lack the complete articulation of the McFarlane, but if Spiderman was real, he would look like Spider-Strength. I find the colors used and the mask combined with the sculpt makes him fit into ANY legends Spiderman display from any era. He is my definitive Spiderman slightly ahead of the McFarlane/Fearsome. The Spidersense, I tried to add Neck articulation and failed horribly, hoping on day you can show "hint" how to add neck articulation. I think of dremmeling and adding a revoltech joint but I keep failing to make it look right. Nice review as always thumbs upped it.
Oh glenn marvel legends just aren't the same without you man just want to say thanks for all the light hearted videos :)
rip glenn you will always be with us
Why he died
@@kabukimask7533 he died in his sleep. It was so sad I thought he was the best action figure reviewer.
@@kabukimask7533 he had a rare heart problem

It looks perfect for a superior spiderman figure

Toy Biz Rules!!!
Toy Biz is love, Toybiz is life, suck it Hasbro! You only make good female figures!
Bleacholic I have to disagree, but hey, people's goddamn nostalgia is NEVER wrong
(If you can't tell, that's sarcasm)
Oh boy, he would love the retro black suit from marvel legend
hat last Spidey is the Spider Strength one from wave 16 - Based on David Finch's New Avengers look
We miss you Glenn!
It could be a perfect base model for a custom first appearance superior spider-man. It has better articulation than the Marvel Select one. I'm looking forward to get one of those. Nice video, cheers.
It's been so long. So nice to revisit.
The Fearsome Foe spider man you customized is really amazing Glenn. but nothing beats the My Little Wolverine haha!
Great review, I actually had this guy queued up for a video review myself but you beat me to the punch (can that even be said with a 12 year old toy?). I always found it funny that Spider-Man misspelled his own name on the base's note, considering he left out the dash.
R.I.P gleen web
I have this guy but he has a lighter shade of blue.
Yeah that one came with a different accessory
I believe he came with Doc Ock.
If he has white eyes then yes, if he has clear eyes like this one then no
He's got white eyes. For some reason, I thought they were glow in the dark.
+Caelan Dawe yeah but I feel the light blue and white eye version is better because the gimmick is kind of dumb
Hey I still have the base from this figure from when I was a kid. I lost the figure but I now use it for my Zombie Spidey Select.
Glenn! Thank you from the future for this video! Been looking for this figure so long. RIP
God I miss this guy, he’s was my inspiration for even getting into marvel, this guy needs a reference in a actual marvel movie one day
RIP glen webb❤️
R.I.P
The last one was Spider-Man Classics series 16 Super-Strength Spider-Man
Did they use the exact same head for Marvel Legends Superior Spider-man? Infact with the colour scheme it looks exactly like the Original Superior Spider-man costume, (the original red and blue/black with blue outlines but with larger eyes)
No its just a cosmetic similarity. The web lines on the head of this one are sculpted into it. On Hasbro's Superior Spidey they are just deco
Glenn Webb Ah sorry I should have specified I was referring to the eyes sorry.
RIP GLENN

Love him Glenn the SPider-Strength is my favorite.
I had this toy second hand as a kid. I loved it so much, unfortunately some other kid stole it and I've been trying to find the same figure ever since.
Ik this is 2 years old but.....you can find them on ebay
I miss you so much Glenn
R.I.P.
do you think; if you could, you would somehow re-sculpt the neck to give him a disc hinge? Do you know how to do that? It seems pretty far fetched, but I would love the figure more if it did have one.
He looks like superior spider-man before he got his own costume.
reminds me of the OG Superior Spidey costume. YOU SHOULD DO A CUSTOM !
My Spider man the same make-model is a little loose/soft all over body. Is there any way to fix?
That happened in childhood, a friend got him jealous and I didn't see what he did but left my Spider-man all soft. And now I really wish that I could fix it
The blackish blue is better than the bright blue.Looks way cooler!
Rip glenn webb
Cool where did you get them
Reminds me of my childhood spiderman toys.
RIP Glenn Webb
I miss glenn
Glenn,do you this looks the first action figure of the Andrew Garfield Spider-man suit with yellow lens,or is that just me
so glenn. Is customizing a career or hobby for you? either way its awesome.
Wow, this spidey has that much movement and can light up.
i got the one with the dark coloring, and white eyes
Great vid Glenn! Ive got the one on the end, ive had it since i was a kid, an i still do lol i think its from some kind of tv Spiderman line like the amazing Spiderman, but in not sure of the exact name sorry, but keep up the goooood work!
Great looking figure for its time
Love this figure! Pity about the whole head lighting up. It would have been much better if just the eyes glowed.
You will be missed Glenn web R.I.P ???TO 2016
2022 soon
He looks like superior spiderman so much
I kind of like the eyes, its something different!!
What creator era this spiderman ?
It's ToyBiz 2002
IDK what is "better" in the voice department
this or that one venom that goes"Iwannaeatyobrains!"
that spiderman that you didn't know of is from spiderman classics. He's called super strength spidey as well. I guess toy biz really couldn't make shit up anymore. XD

Looks cool
The spiderman on the far right was super strength spiderman from spiderman classics
Man this is a pretty good figure for 2002 I expected like 5 joint in 2002 but this wasn't and it looks like a 2014 articulated figure!
Generally 2002 had better articulation than most toys today. When you think this wasn't made for collectors then the equivalent in today's marketplace would be like a mighty battlers or mashers
Well that's true but I'm 11 so yah...... But most figures 2002 released didn't really impress me compared to today
+Glenn Webb I don't know if u said does this figure have head articulation
Paul Miniatis 2 years later and he finaly ask
jk
I have spider crawling spiderman with no accessories and loose and still works
I remember my cousin used to having this toy
The spider-man on the top of the figure looks like ultimate spider-man..Is he?
looks more like superior spidey than normal spidey
Today i found this in a box of my old figures, and found other ones
Is that the superior spider man?
The box art is definitely Todd mcfarlane
But the black though...the black
the fifth spiderman that you didn't know the name of is the super strenght spiderman
2:15 is the Spider Sense noise (apparently)
pretty cool figure man
great review
cheers
I have the white eyed version
Would you sell him?
R.R.I.P gleen
RIP glen :(
It looks like superior spider man
Why do Marvel Legends have to cost 20$ because when it comes to pocket money, that's a pretty penny.

Glenn
I just found this one in all of my junk but the black part of his costume is blue on mine, and the eyes are white
That one is the same figure but from a different wave and has a different accessory
it looks like superior Spider-Man a little bit
Rip...
spider-man looks more like superior spiderman
Sense Spiderman no
Superior Spiderman yes
Looks like the far from home suit mabey this suit was the ensperation for it
Hmm that spidey must be a robot
