  • If you're concerned about your abdominal separation, which is otherwise known as diastasis rectus abdominis, the best source for diagnosis is with a pelvic floor physical therapist.
    However, when you're working on retraining your inner core and pelvic floor, it's also helpful if you understand how the muscles and connective tissues work and should feel in movement.
    In this video I will show you how to self assess and look for clues if you have a functional or non-functional diastasis.
