Psych2Go I feel like this video was a little lacking, it would have been nicer to get examples of different things done in introducing one's self and how they may be received. good, and bad way, or even just neutral things. but I do understand that a video like that would probably be really long, because different people react in different ways to the same types of things. is there a place where I could find information like this that you haven't already talked about? @psych2go
You all probably dont care but does someone know a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly forgot the account password. I love any tips you can give me!
Be enthusiastic passion Smile Show respect Be open new things Be positive Be humble Try to avoid bad days Body language Calm relaxed open available Confidence Take your space Move slowly Talky smoothly Good posture
I remember that my first rehearsal for my first play, a boy went up to me and said, "Hey, your sister pisses me off." I wanted to punch him in the face. We're best friends now.
Victor Well, I got over wanting to punch him in the face that day. He noticed my eye of the tiger and explained that he had nothing against my sister, but that during video reproduction class, she would always try to hold the boom mic and be on her phone at the same time, so she'd let it droop, ruining shots and smacking people. He and I got acquainted after a few days, because he walks home the same direction as my sister and I, and we'd talk. We became best friends about a year later, once we'd really gotten to know each other.
Find meaning in the work you do. If you cant find it, make it meaningful for yourself. You decide what to do and for what reason, no one else can change this for you.
All the friends I've made, I've made by walking up to random strangers and introducing myself, then going on to ask them questions out of the ordinary. Like, "If you were in a zombie apocalypse and needed to survive, what would you do if you had no ways of preparing beforehand?" or "How's the weather" when we're both already outside.
I had one of those friends who would ask (because she had problems with her mom and boyfriend) if she should kill her mom’s boyfriend and then bring her mom with her to outer space once the earth dies. I was so confused and scared for her that I asked if she needed to go through therapy. She said yes and that made me even more worried for her.
Zenddrex's patented BEST way to make a first impression: 1. Blind them with your bright smile. Then they can no longer judge you with their eyes. 2. Asphyxiate them with your genuine interest in them. This knocks out their expectations of you. 3. Now that they are no longer (self) conscious, you kill them with kindness. 4. If anyone witnesses you at any time during this process of making a good impression, repeat these steps on that witness to ensure no one gets the wrong idea.
I rarely ever make a good impression I have anxiety, bad posture and resting b*tch face people usually think I'm rude or conceited 😭. They may also think i'm uninterested and that's usually not the case 😢.
1. be enthusaistic show interest in person you meet 2. show respect ( please , thank you) - waiter , CEO , janitor 3.Be open to new ideas : let them know your willing to do. some new with them 4 Be Postiive : in the good and bad 5. Realize its not all bout you 6. Try to avoid bad days : let them know your meetings with them are important thus you want to bring your best 7. Body language : good posture, eye contact and lean forward to show interest
Most of the points in this video are not for a first impression (first 7 seconds) but rather for a first "meeting". I mean, how can you be open to someone in the first 7 seconds where a conversation starts by saluting each other? It doesn't make any sense to me, sorry 🤔 ~Peete
I think how you present yourself as in appearance help for a good first impression. People might think you're disrespecting them by showing up with bed hair and messy clothes. Also walk confidently (good posture).
This ones obvious but I really hate people who talk badly about others. It really says a lot about themselves, and makes me feel like they're doing the same when I'm gone.
Those tips were really helpful, thank you for this video! One additional thing I do is asking questions. If I am in a conversation, and I don't quite understand something my conversation partner has said, I will ask if they could either repeat it or explain it with other words. I really love having deep conversations with others, but sometimes they just jump from one thought to another and I might have issues following them. And instead of just blindly nodding and agreeing, it's a lot safer to ask one more time. It also makes a good impression, since questions show that somebody is genuinely interested in your thoughts and views. (This might also balance out my huge issues with eye-contact, because thanks to the questions people know that I am still listening to them)
0:22-People take 7 seconds to make a first impression 0:38-Be enthusiastic and don't try to hide your enthusiasm about something 0:55-Show Respect to the person and to other people around you. 1:10-Be open to new ideas and experiences doing an activity with someone is a great way to increase closeness 1:40-Be positive and try to find goodd things in bad mishaps 1:55-It's a not all about you
I'm so glad I'm already putting these things into practice at work. I definitely feel like I've gotten better at giving a good first impression. The part about passion is definitely me. I sometimes feel myself holding back, but I'm working on letting myself express my excitement. X'D
I remember that when I changed schools people thought I was strange and stayed away from me, but I also never knew how to socialize. Today, these people are my best friends.
I am really bad with first impression...I get nervous and say something stupid I don't know how to say the right thing at the right time...I stumble while speaking
During this I realized that a good impression is subjective. Therefor a different impression may be better for one situation more than another, meaning “how to make a good impression” is actually not of much use if you not specifying the situation. For instance if a person is wrongfully accused of a crime they probably are not going to want to be open in there first impression and wait for a lawyer or in a business meeting showing enthusiasm might not be the best first impression. My two cents for what they’re worth anyway.
Thank you this actually helps me to know what to do since I’m going to move to a new school and I’m very scared I won’t have any friends but you helped me! And now I’m not scared anymore but I’m excited for my new school! May you have a great day! ❤️
Hello! My name is Bailey! I have the form of autism known as Asperger’s Syndrome. I was wondering if you could possible make a video on how to communicate more effectively if you’re autistic. I struggle a lot with social relationships and interactions and other everyday activities. Your videos have helped me with so much but there are a few things I still need to learn. Thanks!
My mom has extreme anger issues? What can I do? Today it is deathly hot outside and it’s just for today and she refused to turn in the air conditioning so my one fish tank that wants water in the 60s was nearly at 80 and they were about to die and she yelled and cursed at me because I wanted to put ice bottles in the water to cool it down because her bitch ass refused to turn the fucking air on while we’re all sweating to death.
AirportHobo Triggers Me Well yeah. Now all you might have to deal with, is possibly going somewhere else and/or your parents and you constantly getting checked up on. Maybe ask your mom to go to a therapist, cause what she's doing just isn't right. Tell her maybe she shouldn't have had kids.
I agree that the first impression is important, if you meet someone new, i try to make a good impression on people, an impression of someone nice and friendly

Paying attention to my body language and making eye contact are two literally impossible things for me to do when I´m supposed to talk and pay attention to what the other person says at the same time.

As a 17 year old highschool student born an introverted virgin who has an introverted 19 year old brother who has autism, I must admit that the first minute of the video lifted me up. The crush I've had on this one girl for literally over a year had always friendzoned me. She also denies every bit of truth I try to speak of to her. She wants me to become a stronger man, mentally. But I fail every single time because I usually give her shitty first impressions, like saying "oh" for example and showing her slight bit of attention, even though I am giving everything I got for her approval. She is moving after summer break and this shatters my heart because we both had many ups and downs and I cannot let it go downhill. I know I want to win her. No matter what, I will always be optimistic because life's got unlimited meanings, and that tells me that moving on can suck my ass. But she is the voice in my head that is telling me "go" whenever it tells me to. I would try to avoid her, so I would say "no." And to this day, I am still trying to earn her respect and make her my girlfriend. I am trying to know more people. And I am still writing this comment (not really tho). And so to build my confidence, I want to meet new friends, and know them better. I want to belong. And that is what brought me to this video. Thank you for this.
It doesn't apply for everyone but I never said one person or just himself to me if we have something in common like liking the same letter of the alphabet or liking the same music or whatever so whenever I go out and meet people what's your favorite music and I think that makes a good first impression

I developed feelings for my therapist who I no longer see because I moved schools, how can I get over this? Thanks
Nightmares Tonight transference.
Could you guys make a vídeo about avoiding procrastination
It doesn't apply for everyone but I never said one person or just himself to me if we have something in common like liking the same letter of the alphabet or liking the same music or whatever so whenever I go out and meet people what's your favorite music and I think that makes a good first impression
