      Fact ! Back when the band played their own instruments AND sang WITHOUT auto tune. I was so glad when the original lineup reunited

      He has lost the upper register, several throat surgeries, not as much bite to the vocals like 1971, but not embarrassing himself either

    Tom Johnston--outstanding singer. He can sing anything--rock, blues, R&B, country and whatever else. He's voice is still strong after all of these years. It's cool the Doobies are in the R&R Hall of Fame.

    One of the first album's (vinyl) I bought! Worn-out long ago! Then got the "8 track" Worn out..Then got the cassette..worn out..Then got the 'cd' well, still playing it!Loud n proud! Real Classic Rock! Go D'bros!! keep looking to the east!

    I attended this taping as a Doobie Brothers superfan, and it was an amazing opportunity to see these guys rock out right in front of me! As always, they sounded incredible live!!!

    My favorite Doobie Brothers song from the fall of 1973. Saw them at the Assembly Hall at the University of Illinois in December of that year. Rock on, DB!

    The Doobies were my fave on 8 track in y car and we covered China Grove in our band. Watching the masters at work on GMA just brings it full circle to home. The Doobie Brothers!

    I've been to about 15 Doobie concerts since 1974. Original members Tom Johnston and Pat Simmons are still out there rockin' and sounding better than ever!

    i've been a fan since the early '70s seeing them 3 or 4 times at Winterland.
    i'm happy they're still rocking. Sounds like they were blasting on stage. Mics can barely handle things. Yeah!!

    Mom bought me the 45 in 73 and I slowly cranked the ole PHILCO 60W up to MAX and the Oldman hollered TURN THAT S*** DOWN!...The folks came in this week from SC and I hooked up my lil VOX amp to the I/O and BLLasted this video.The Oldman, (now 81) hollered upstairs TURN THAT S*** DOWN!..Took me back instantly to that first play of the 45..LOL

    Good to see TJ alive and kickin!
    My grandfather was his age when this album released. When ever I have to travel as soon as I hit the highway and set the cruise, I play Road Angel and Lost Without You with the volume set on “nuclear”

    winter of '75; the gym at App State is packed and I'm standing in front of the stage about 3 rows back- those guys rocked for 2 hours in incredible harmony- maybe as much fun was watching how the Brothers were enjoying putting on the show- man, they were good..
