Please do that! You two are easily among the best tech reviewers on RUclips. The two of you together would do such an amazing video on the Xperia 1 mark V
That textured back and side is one thing i really praise Sony for. All OEMs know that glass and polished metals can be very slippery, yet nobody ever taught about giving them some texture for good grip.
They doing this because this phone are targeted as camera phone, it has dedicated shutter button, that's why they do this, but the bad thing using this texture are sacrifice the premium looks and its not as good as the iphone or samsung design or most phone with glass.
Those nature photos were stunning. I stayed up until midnight ET to watch the Xperia1V presentation and it was worth it. It is good to see the the bettery battery life numbers with the Gen 2 chip. I'm Team Sony all the way enjoying my Xperia 5 IV.
You and Juan are the best. You both capture the excitement that us sony fans have for their products. We are picky people who like the top end features of our phones to be in a different department. The more videos i watch of the V, the more i want to upgrade from my xperia 1 iii
Something of a rare known name actually producing a flagship, the price is still rough though. I like that they are packing in as much as a they can while still moving forward.
The first thing I look for in smartphones is the camera because photography is one of my hobbies. While I am happy to see improvements since my Xperia 1 m1, there are a few things that camera technologies need to step up: 1) Increase the megapixel count from 12mp to at least 20mp. 2) Use analogue bokeh for portrait shots (as featured on iPhone 14 Pros).
@@paulgal Only for those looking to do big prints or display photos on a large 4K display. And yes, the technologies behind the sensors are essential too.
I'm looking forward to from Juan Xperia 1 V vs Xiaomi 13 Ultra as much as I'm looking forward to from TK Oppo Find X6 Pro vs Xperia 1 V. Its a good time to be enjoying high end camera tech this year.
What I would probably say is all three devices are geared in a slightly different way The Xperia is definitely for creators and for an all-around production style work. While the find X6 Pro is more of an all-rounder great photography easy to take pictures and videos and fast processing with that 1-in sensor. Show me 13 Pro and the Ultra have a different philosophy would like as influence into camera processing so although all three devices perform well I wouldn't necessarily feel they compete they're really going in for a different part of the market
Great review, especially as I've just upgraded from my 1ii to this latest, and probably last, greatest Xperia 1 model. The 1 VI with its downgrade to 1080p is a great shame if the aim was to extend battery performance. I've learnt that if you want to get that specific good Sony product, buy it while it's available because once they're gone, they're gone for good!!
HI! Just subscribed and liked, the best Xperia 1V review I found... one thing, I think today the cameras are shooting all 120fps with exception of the selfie one. THANKS and good luck with your channel!
This is my dream phone... NOW lurking for a better price.... Although the Xperia 5 mark 5 will be a legendary one too! 🤔 Tuff choice... Thank you for the review! 💪 🍻 🎊 🇷🇴
Thanks for the video. I was hoping that you could a bit more info about the UI (apps) for daily tasks, such as calendar, reminders, notes, voicemail, call screening( does it have it)? Did/do you use native google apps for this etc..
Anyone else notice the weird exposure stepping in the outdoor video. Like every half second there’s a small incremental exposure step as it gets darker. It’s not smooth, and it looks kind of bad. Hopefully this is just a day one bug (10:13)
Does the camera allow to select if computational / stacking takes place with every photo or is it just on night mode? Kudos to sony to finally allow a on screen shutter button in advanced mode. Does it offer focus peeking?
Thanks for the plentiful review. The details attract anyone to buy and I own one. Sony always had their vision on the top while they bring something from the house. Just the concern is on the updates limitations. I am big fan of Sony from the time of cybershot and walkman mobiles.

Hoping with your in depth camera review. I'm hoping you will tell us in the video what Mode you used while taking photos and videos. Such as Using Basic Auto and Manual Mode. In Video using Basic Video App, Video Pro, or Cinema pro app
I'm constantly seeing fps drops in video recording timestamp 9:55 and up, is this from the editing software you used or is the phone actually dropping frames during recording? cause I've seen this in many android phones so I'm wondering if the new sony has that issue as well, thanks Tariq.
Thanks for the video. I was happy to see you explain the new Xperia. Would love to give this phone a try. Always a Pixel/Nexus user from the early days but this phone interest me. A multi purpose external recorder?! I guess bot quite as an Atomos, but it should be fine for basic projects.
