Fergus regarding the suicide attempt and your dog, i got my dog when my partner died (from suicide), my dog literally saved my life coz i know i wouldnt still be here it if wasnt for him, sadly my dog has now passed and i actually miss him more than my partner, my dog was and always will be my best friend who saved me from suicide, im in a better place now even though i miss my dog greatly, i dedicate everything positive that i do to him, he is still saving my life to this day even though he is no longer here ❤
This is one of the best pods ive heard overall. The way you talk about your experiences with mental health in a nondramatic, very real, honest way. The feats you accomplish are amazing and the openness and way you address depression and mental health and even talked about masculinity while saying you want to avoid gender stereotypes, you guys all rocked and this pod had me literally in tears while in the middle of mile 8 on a 10 mile run. I was planning on getting your hybrid plan anyway, but this pod made me want to support you and also learn from you even more. With all that said I'm also a massive goggins fan and feel you guys misrepresented him. You even said (1:10) "I don't think that running through bleeding gooches and shitting yourself on a 100 miler is something that the average person should be aspiring to emulate, I think that doing the preparation if the context of your life allows you to better prepare" and in his audiobook Cant Hurt Me Chapter 7 (1:18:40) "Understand this there's a big caution in this whole chapter, DO NOT DO WHAT I DID, i figured out the 40% rule by literally destroying myself, don't go out there and say oh david goggins ran a hundred miler with no training i can go do that, you might be able to, but the whole thing about is ... dont go from 0-100 cuz that will jack you up... [just 10% a week]...Matter of fact i put a ceiling on mine for a bit cuz i jacked my body up so bad" It's long and i did put the time in to find the quotes for this cuz i really look up to Mark, Fergus, and Goggins, and after meeting Mark and Goggins I have only further confirmed they are the real deal and only made me like them even more. I think all you guys help people, so when you guys brought up what i thought was a misrepresentation i thought it was important to address it. Anyway hope you read this. Thanks for all you do, you're making a big positive impact on the world 👍
The crazy thing is that Fergus is doing these challenges on top of running two businesses and a RUclips channel. It’s all happening at the same time. He is an output monster. Too many people think that this type of output can be achieved with a hustler mentality when in reality it is achieved hugely by being inspired with a huge mission to bring awareness to (men’s) mental health. It’s purpose. In that sense, Goggins and Fergus have actually a lot in common, even though the daily approach they use are vastly different. But so are we, so we all need different coaches and mentors that speak to us in a way we like to listen.
Best podcast I’ve listened to on here. That was funny, deep, interesting and inspiring 🙏 Fergus is a great inspiration as an athlete and human ! I‘ve been following his journey for a while
It's so cool seeing Fergus on here. I've been following him for a while, watch all of his videos, and even did one of his training programs. Glad he got some exposure. Cheers!

FAO Andrew - do not use afrin for more than a few days. Topical decongestants can actually cause rebound congestion - possibly due to ischaemia and oedema or vasoconstrictor fatigue leading to hyperaemia. Essentially, your congestion can get worse . Short periods of use are usually fine - around 3-5 days definitely less than 7 days.
Afrin is a topical decongestant that is potent but after 3-5 days of use most people will have a rebound effect and become more congested than before they started using it.
Thanks for having me on team 🫡 really enjoyed this conversation!

Disgustingly tough challenge, that kind of sleep deprivation done voluntarily, and still maintaining consistent splits, is no joke
Great watch as always! I love Fergus and hes the madman that inspired me to my first 100k ultra!
Yes, Fergus is a legit beast! Right up there with Ross Edgley. Great guest choice
