No joke, I’m going to workout with a friend of mine from work this morning, and he is dating a current JW in secret. Well… I don’t believe she wants to be active anymore, it sounds like she has woken up. I feel bad for her and my friend because she will most likely lose her family to this cult if she decides to go all in on the relationship. I’m an inactive baptized Witness myself, and I couldn’t be happier to be out of it. I was fortunate enough though to have a loving family that also separated from the cult. I know that’s sadly not the case for many.

This is actually more common these days. When I was an elder for six years, just in my congregation in one year there were six people who were dating someone who was not a witness. Heck, even the coordinator was caught holding hands with a woman and cheating on his wife! I am disassociated as of last year.

At one JW memorial event, the bread plate was making its rejection rounds when a loud "CLINK-CLINK!" sound could be heard. The Memorial is emphasized as an important day for JW'S. It never felt like a "holiday" to me in my growing up and over 20 years in JW'S. It is really considered some kind of a you never miss the Memorial because its so important. End of day it is a kind of ritual were some elder gets on stage talks for awhile. There is a prayer before body of christ is sent around which is a bread. The elder talks some more then a prayer is said the blood of christ is passed around which is wine. The only partakers of the bread and wine are the supposed 144000 chosen ones which are increasing every year not declining according to JW numbers. The whole thing is a mindless ritual that is man made.

Jw Memorial Day always made no sense to me as I thought what the point of going to see this symbolic bread & wine being passed around & no one partook of it. Back in the day, they were saying it didn't have much left who were 'anointed '. But you had to attend because it was a special event. Now I've been understanding more about the refusal of partaking & what that meant.

    • @michellebernal5668
      @michellebernal5668 6 месяцев назад +3

I’m not a JW, never was but always found this custom strange. Why is it obligatory to go to something you can’t participate in? Like Jesus said “do this in remembrance of me” but by JW logic he’s talking to the anointed to partake in bread and wine but talking to all JWs to participate in a memorial to sit and pass around emblems? Makes no sense, if Jesus is only talking to the anointed then only the anointed should go to the memorial.

    • @Chris_Sheridan
      @Chris_Sheridan 5 месяцев назад

FYI - it has nothing to do with refusal - all Christians worldwide respect God's word - those that are humble will acknowledge that they are not among the anointed class, while those who understand the responsibility of acknowledging the guidance of the holy spirit, will partake of the symbolic emblems.

How sad it is to gather together and finally reject the emblems of Christ.
While 1 Corinthians 11:26 instructs us to commemorate Jesus' death by carrying the emblems with him until he returns, 99.8% of Jehovah's Witnesses will not do so. Worse yet, they will pass on the emblems without even consuming them.
The Memorial, as practiced by Jehovah's Witnesses, has absolutely nothing biblical and constitutes more of a blasphemy of Christ's sacrifice than a full acceptance of it.
It is also worrying to note that well before the advent of Jehovism, certain Masonic and Satanist rites already consisted of passing bread and wine without consuming them to symbolize the rejection of Christ and his sacrifice.
While since the first century all Christians have never stopped until today respecting the memorial instituted by Jesus by eating the bread and drinking the wine, only the JW and certain antichrist sects will dare to do the opposite. which was requested by Jesus in rejecting or not taking the emblems.
While teaching that Jesus Christ returned in 1914, Jehovah's Witnesses continue to make the memorial!

The Eucharist/Communion table was meant from the beginning to be a place where all could come together as one family, all equal in Christ.
The Watchtower turned it into an opportunity to reiterate their hierarchical, two-class system, in which the majority were not permitted to partake and were to be subservient to the upper echelon.
Any follower of Jesus who attends a Memorial at a Witness's invitation should partake of the elements freely. If later asked about it, they can explain the real peace, freedom, and equality that flows from the Lord Jesus to all.

In otherwords, the memorial is just a special circle jerk for the governing body.

IT WAS ALWAYS A WAXING GIBBOUS MOON PHASE. (witchcraft) BUT NOT THIS YEAR ?? 2024 IT'S MARCH 24TH. (which is Palm Sunday) do they still claim Nisan 14
.WHY? AND THE MOON phase IS DIFFERENT?
THE SAME YEAR THEY CHANGE ALL THE RULES PANTS SHIRTS TIES SKIRTS BEARDS , NO FS time, Shunning
      The GB is demonic Period.
This is based on tarot, witchcraft, spells, and shunning of Christ for the purpose of gaining rank in this World. The devils world. It's a ceremony of worship to satan just as he asked Jesus to do to make Christ a King before He could accomplish His mission.

Apparently this is a rare leap year that throws off the Jewish calendar every 19 years. Nisan 14 is 14 days after the new moon in Jerusalem (March 10th) closest to the vernal equinox (March 19th). Something like that. So it’s NOT like they are just trying to be closer to Easter or Palm Sunday.

Oh, I do have another couple of questions though. Given the whole cross and crucifix symbol/idol worship...why in the early versions of the Watchtower magazines, did they have a little symbol on the top right side, (I think), of a crown, heart and a traditional crucifix going through the crown?
The other main question...isn't it scriptural somewhere, that strictly speaking, you are not supposed to have "body modification", because God made you the way you were? Which is why orthodox Jews, and the early eastern European churches (Greek orthodox, Armenian Orthodox, Copic which is in Egypt but around the area), and one of the sects in Islam to, aren't even allowed to cut their hair never mind getting rid of facial hair. I guess it must be in the pentateuch, which they are the books that the Abrahamic religions follow, and the WT in their illustrations also depict Jesus with a beard. So why did they ban having a beard in the first place? I am confused.

I never got a satisfactory answer - or any answer - as to who was chosen but it certainly wasn’t an eight year old female even though I totally felt I had a right to it. No movement of the Holy Spirit in the JWs. In fact they would say it was demonic influence. Only by the approval of the GB.

Why do they call it a memorial when Jesus said it is a remembrance? This is one of the few event for believers in Jesus Christ only. Jesus did not make this event public. Yet I keep getting pamphlets and invites from JW. Jesus also never said don't eat or drink. He said the exact opposite. He definately did not take head counts. I feel this is one of many reasons why JW need to read the Bible by itself and for themselves. They should not wait for the governing body to tell them to jump.

Christmas was celebrated at Bethel until the mid 1920s, welll after the "release from Babylonian captivity". "Pagan" things were gotten rid of for cleansing. Days of the week, names of the months, etc, were slated for removal, but Rutherford felt that the Society had gone far enough. Clayton Woodward was the researcher at the time, the Judge told him to cool it. The Judge lacked a good family life and had no compunction about sharing his dysfunction with others.

Your videos have made me realize theres some weird similarities between JW and Mormonism. I grew up Mormon and while I TECHNICALLY practice I'm really physically in, but mentally out. Mormons also dont use the cross for symbolism and act like theyre better than all the other Christian churches for this lol. Also my first time hearing about JWs was as a kid. My mom had a coworker who was a JW and was always trying to talk to her about the religion lol. I think during either like Christmas or my birthday one time, she told me (probably while i was neing bratty) "just be grateful your not like my friend, her family doesn't celebrate ANY holidays." Child me was baffled and shocked by that lol.

By the way, I hope that you haven’t given the gb an idea for a creative way to reframe the 144K…
Not that they need any help 😂…
One more thought about beards: I wouldn’t be surprised if the gb one day starts to make beards compulsory for anyone who hopes to reach “elder” status 😂…
I’m sure that the wordsmiths of the wt will find some ways to make it seem a “scriptural requirement”, until some backlash or unintended (by the gb) consequences inspire it to get some fresh batteries for the “new light” 😂…

Christianity does have its origins in Pagan religions though. But it is a tactical political move, but yeah I agree that it often doesn't matter much to me.
I have a friend who is at a meeting right now.
@5.50-7.50, OK, I admit your skit was amusing.
I am interested though, in why and how, the 144, 000, really do feel that they are going to be one of this figure, so they do eat and drink the sacrament. Is there a short explanation?
Coincidentally, today us a huge holiday in North India. And now I think about it...there's one thing it has in common with memorial day.
Both work off a Lunar calendar, and both have 1 day per year where you are allowed to partake in a let's just say it's a something that often makes people amused and hungry...
But it is more fun. It's a festival of colour so you have free licence to throw around colored powder at other ppl. Or get a water gun, put colored dye in it, and shoot anyone in sight. Like paintball but with Xtra paint!
So seeing as you are not going to the memorial service, and I am not going anywhere...Happy colours day, (not its official name which is Holi), and I hope you too have a mighty fine good ass day!
