- Games are a part of his life. He enjoyed playing games but eventually became addicted to it. He couldn’t stop playing games and was hooked to it. The addiction affected many of his decisions and he couldn’t break free from this temptation. At first, he didn’t know how to control himself so he came up with his own solutions which eventually worked. He can now fully control himself and am no longer addicted to games.

how did you quit ?
@@FabATG777 Doing something else.
Looking back on this 3 years later, how did it work out for you?
Thank you for speaking up
I just played league of legends from 7am to 3am few days ago I have decided to quit it. I just don’t feel good playing it. I always feel guilty even if I only play 1 round I still feel guilty but I am addicted to it and I will stop. I’ve been making good progress and haven’t been playing it for almost 2 days it’s hard but it’s doable I am reading books now which I always feel good doing even though it’s kind of boring. But I will get better at it. Wish you all good luck
you can do it friend. Im on day 6 of no social games. So no steam, nothing i play with friends, cause thats where my addiction lies. I can play a few games of league and not feel like its a problem, but thats totally personal. You should quit cold turkey
Good for you guys. I'm a casual league player, and I REFUSE to care about ranked games because I know I'll get addicted. I'm already limiting my time in norms as it is...
If I ever realize I've become addicted though, I'm quitting. Completely.
How's it going with detoxing yourself from video games?? I'm trying to QUIT playing WoW
did u make it bryan?
Many people are like that... Many people stoppped and see their life change. Let's change!
Great speech but you really should give credit to Cam Adair who coined the "4 reasons why people play" in a previous TED talk.
His right i am 1000% Guilty. Not saying Video Games are the worse thing's, but when your Sister Die's in Hospital, & you never end up ever seeing her ever again :-(. My sister is the one that got me a Nintendo 64 when i was 10 but had a Sega Mega Drive when i was 7 & i am 32 year's old & all together have 16 video game system's, & i do many other thing's like Drum's & Art, & the other Video Game's, add up to many more Video Game's, is that why i feel so bad :-( . & think it will make the pain, go away forever when the answer is wrong, but yes everyone has something, that make's them tick & want more & more. & when your your hooke't on something, so much more it's like power, & new world order. when it really mean's less in a life time, that is wasted & gone down the drain forever.
this is literally my life
hmmmmm good talk
Lol. I watch Twitch streams and LP's so I don't need to play it myself. Gave me the satisfaction of the game without being committed to it, I can watch it while doing work and other productive chores. That part actually helped me instead of hindering me.
do not follow this, its as if u stay near smokers while doing work so u can inhale a bit of smoke instead of smoking yourself, which eventually becomes an addiction itself, u will watch twitch all day and waste your precious time
THE scary part is nothing will make you feel happy unless you play video games and then when you dont have video games you feel depressed
That's cap
Brother if u play something for a long time or eat the same type of food u may feel u want it more or u cannot live without that............ thats when the 1 st symtom of addictions to that thing or that particular game
wait what game was he addicted to tho
While my parents are Korean....aaaaaa.....LOL...Same here but my parents Chinese...,thanks for sharing..
Play indie single player games instead, support your local creators trying to showcase their art and hardwork instead of those AAA corporates always craving to steal your time and money...
Eu Nordic & East Anyone?😂
nope .. eu west
yeah me... Madzir - #3 Azir eune xD
So sad to see that you live in one of the richest countries and DECIDE to play video games instead of going out to live and help around the world. Instead of networking with others to find ways of cleaning water in Haiti or other parts of the world. So sad to see such a waste of time and waste of young privileged brains! Your parents are guilty for not making you be responsible and pay for your rent. I have always worked and wished I had time and money to just do volunteer work.
What's wrong with you ? You don't know how being addicted to a game can be and how that person could have been led to that. You're trying to make him guilty for that. Not everyone has the motivation of doing such a things easy to say but not so easy to begin with. You're saying you'd like to do things to help the world etc etc and you're complaining because he doesn't do anything, but you know you can help too ? Search about ecosia, PETA ( this one is French I think, but it's about petitions for animal abuses ), donating money ... If you're not doing any of those things, then you don't even have the right to complain about him.
