    This is about the only channel on RUclips I “like” before even watching it. The expectation is there, and I have never been let down. Thank you Alex for making such brilliant informative videos. It’s not just the tips, repairs. It’s also seeing how the business operates, seeing you not afraid to personally package customer orders. Likewise the respect given to big boss, the love for your family when your daughter visits. Teamwork is a wonderful thing, and you all make it happen together.

    Good job. Very good work. maybe asus should open their own repair department, that could improve their reputation a lot and they would do a lot of good for the environment. but in these cases, unfortunately, as always, only the sale of a new product counts. Planned obsolescence.
    Thank you for that video, greats

      They outsource their warranty support in the UK to a 3rd party, they don't even want to work on them themselves !! My own Zephyrus went in for a "Non charging via Mains, only trickle charging via USB-C" and it took the buggers over a month to fix it door to door, and that was after only 5 months of occasional use and always with a fan tray :(
      There's no way I would have bought it if I knew then what I've seen in here :(

    • @tobyprior8839
      @tobyprior8839 2 года назад

      Or they could just design them better so they don't have to repair them as much.
      I like asus stuff and have used there motherboards for over 20 years but after watching the amount of fixes of there laptops on here I would never buy one.

  • @palmer264

    Great fix Alex. Im surprised that Asus does absolutely nothing about these problems with motherboards..People spend hundreds on these laptops and probably some end up in skip as for some repair shops "they cant be repaired". |And motherboard replacement cost probably close to the original price of the laptop..Real shame Asus...

    Good Jobs, I find it difficult to recognize which is the faulty component in case there is an absorption of 0.4-1.4A. I have a 300euro thermal camera but sometimes various heats, especially if they are small, it is difficult to recognize them (I use the one of the blackbiew 6600bv pro). I ask for advice: will the thermal imager remain in default or should it be set to a specific type of material? type iron, shiny, etc.?

    • @I_SuperHiro_I
      @I_SuperHiro_I 2 года назад +1

      Does your thermal camera have emissivity settings? If so, the general rule is higher emissivity of about 1 for plastic (but metal will be shown as colder) and much lower emissivity for looking at metal around 0.1-0.15.

    • @BArTI007
      @BArTI007 2 года назад

      There is probably no reason to fix anything, if they were loosing money they would. Those failures are probably not as common as one can assume, seeing how popular those laptops are, that's just a small fraction of them.

    • @TartarSauceIsNotDead
      @TartarSauceIsNotDead 2 года назад

      @@BArTI007 there clearly is a reason if the majority of laptops this guy fixes are from ASUS. Seems a lot like planned obsolescence to me.

    If I was someone at big company, I would hire someone to watch repair videos on youtube and report, this is actually priceless data. Based on feedback from repairs, what is broken/fixed, they can make their product even better.

    man seeing asus products here most of the time concerns me and is proof everything ive had from them dies, from dvd external rom drives to wifi cards even when i had a laptop in 2008 would blue screen constantly and into later years of intel 4000 series or fx amd cpu's the sata ports broke off and my fx board died for whatever reason and about a year and some ago i bought a wifi adapter thinking nothing less about the brand and its asus.. what a pain in the butt its been but when it works it does just that. but i expect it to fail eventually like everything else. only thing asus still working is my old P4 board to this very day heh.
