Sid Ghosh I also have the GS F-sport but with the four(4) cylinder (200t). I love it. Next will be the LS or the LC. The GS is a lot of value for the money, every time I get into it I feel like, I have made it. Can’t wait to upgrade even further.
Beautiful. Such a long sleek profile. Very stylish. I think the heahlights are absolutely beautiful in design and how they light up. Also Love the F sport package those wheels look very nice. That engine is the star of this car... I wonder what that engine will do in the GS and IS sedans. A twin turbo GS will bring back the days of the 2JZ aristo !
Toyota4Life awful. Hideous Grill. Hideous headlights. Hideous tail lights. Only 415hp out of a twin turbo 3.5 V6. Even ford is getting 450hp and 510 torque out of a 3.5. And the technology is still 5 years behind the Germans.
Justamazon 33 of course your opinion is subjective and I think I can speak for the rest of us when I say, nobody cares. However some things are just factually incorrect, and here's where I come in- ford does have their ecoboost v6 motor, but it makes terrible fuel economy compared to this (this is no light vehicle either!), and has the intention of sporty driving dynamics rather than the purpose of unparalleled luxury; and even then, 0-60 in 4.5 seconds is faster than the best applied ecoboost v6 motor, in the raptor/Taurus SHO, etc (save for the ford gt). Infotainment could definitely see an upgrade, but Toyota should be giving most of their vehicles the latest version of entune (as the new Camry has recently seen) and even possibly AA&AC. So I agree with @Toyota4life, in terms of design (of course you don't care of my opinion much either!), elegance, luxury, RELIABILITY (didn't think about that did ya) and most certainly technology (has more standard safety features then most rivals, as do Toyota products).
So let me quickly state something. I've seen already several reviews on this ls500 and always did not like it. However, for some reason looking at it in this video, i actually love it. It looks so sexy and big. The interior is really different than what we currently see in cars. Really well.put together vehicle. I got to see if a v8 is offered.
Love your style of auto reviews, comprehensive, detailed and fed in very palatable manor. Your the best! One question, what is your opinion of the square touch pad that one must use for just about every function on the car. It seem that could get tedious....just wanting you opinion. Thanks again guy, love watching you preform.
Am I the only one not impressed by the back seats without the reclining package? They're just regular seats, same as in any other car. I feel like only the fully equipped version is really impressive, and the exterior looks are still debatable.
I really like the interior, especially since it is their own take and not a copy "Germans luxury" like even the Germans are doing these days. Other car manufacturers need to do an actual full redesign from the ground up. Not all of these half-measures and small refreshes. Great job Dave!
I'm really liking this interior but the exterior seems more Mazda or Hyundai to me instead of top of the line Lexus. It also appears to have a very narrow trunk opening like so many of these new fastback designs tend to have.
Toyota went from heck no to ya, now they are giving you a 85k car? Nice work Dave!! Thorough review and nicely done video work showing all the equipment. ( Gx, cough cough off road park. Pond from hell has no chance. Just a thought) 😁😁😉😁😁😁
Toyota went to “heck no to ya” like in mid 80’s, (or much early if we count the GT2000) just an update. You might by thinking of Hyundai/Kia that just recently went from “heck no” ... to “maybe why not”
A thing I have noticed is that kia optima and hyunday sonata limited editions offer an option for heated back seats, no entry-level or mid luxury car brand offers this option as far as I know.
Dave Lusk it’s because Toyota use to produce pretty boring terrible cars that just lived on their predecessors success and now they are actually trying.
Looks like Toyota has completely moved in to their Plano HQ, explains the new Texas Manufacturer plates rather than the previous California Manufacturer plates.
This F-Sport is amazing but the Toyota developed infotainment system is horrible. Dated graphics, slow processing speed (anyone else notice the buffering symbol while Dave was demonstrating it?), and no Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.
J J Other luxury automakers have surpassed Lexus in terms of infotainment system technology. That's an important selling point in today's connectivity dependant society. Android Auto or Apple CarPlay is almost standard in entry level cars nowadays.
J J Considering the average Lexus luxury sedan buyer used to be over 50 years of age, I guess they weren't concerned with connectivity for their flip phone.....lol.
JJ Ur part of the problem if u don’t see a problem. Lexus needs a better infotainment system. Stop always giving them an excuse. Folks like u r extremely annoying. U always have an excuse for mediocrity. Man up and demand better!
Volvo infotainment system is slow too my aunt said her 2016 Volvo XC90 Froze up on her sometime . She have stop the car and turn off the car and bk on the car so its reboot the system to work again.
I thought they would have been getting ready to move on from the spindle grille design by now but the just made a 2018! model LS with the same grille they have been using for years now 🤔. They only companies that have grilled that has suits the identity vey well and should never be changed are BMW, Jeep and Alfa Romeo.
Ok people, let's call a spade a spade; I was at the international auto show yesterday and had the chance to sit in the back seat of this car. The head room is horrendous for tall people. The essence of luxury in the back seat is way off. My goodness, what was Lexus thinking? What is the purpose of the toys in the back when you cannot keep your head straight.
The exterior looks too much like the Camry now. I guess this was bound to happen since Toyota tried to make the new Camry look like a Lexus. I also didn't realize how much the dashes look alike in Toyota and Lexus models. The dash in this LX looks almost exactly like the dash design in the Camry and Highlander. To be honest, this year's LX seems to be less luxurious than usual.
In this car for it to really compete with something like an s class u need the executive package, it introduces power back seats, cooled back seats, massaging seats, for the front and back and different types of trims
I agree. outgoing looks more graceful. LS is supposed to be mature design but this looks a bit immature and childish. my guess is lexus is trying very hard to capture the young demographic. but I'm afraid they're alienating loyal users.
Nice car and video! But not paying 2X of the value of the Toyota Avalon. By the way Do you have a review of the Avalon Dave? I’d love to see on video of you reviewing the Avalon. Thank you!
Shundarian J Catron F-sport is a trim not the F performance line, it's a difference. Their supposed to be working on a twin turbo v8 for the actual LS-F.
BMW 7 series is so outdated. Even with the new refresh, this F-Sport doesn't have all of the luxurious amenities that it can come with. When those are equipped it is a true competitor.
weirdshibainu So they copied an Optional 24 inch heads up display and etc. the Germans don't have? This Lexus is not even all the way optioned out. This is advanced for its options and standard equipment it has.
I think the car is ugly inside and out . Maybe with a lighter interior color it wouldn't look so bad inside , but nothing can help the exterior . no V8 just a V6 on a $80K-$90K luxury car, HHHMMM the jury is still out on this one 😕
I have a '16 GS350 F-Sport AWD and it's sublime. Can't even imagine how good this must be.
Sid Ghosh I also have the GS F-sport but with the four(4) cylinder (200t). I love it. Next will be the LS or the LC. The GS is a lot of value for the money, every time I get into it I feel like, I have made it. Can’t wait to upgrade even further.
FLJAMESFL congrats to both of you ! Sick rides.
Sid Ghosh I’m with you that Sid I have 2013 GS350 sport.. just paid it off wouldn’t mind leasing this LS 500 for 2yrs just to enjoy it for a minute..
The interior is gorgeous
Beautiful.

Thanks for the ignorance. I was a quart low......
definitely my kind of car
Justamazon 33 of course your opinion is subjective and I think I can speak for the rest of us when I say, nobody cares. Justamazon 33 Actually impressive for a twin turbo V6. You just kind of sound ignorant. The design is nice too.
Love your videos dave! Keep up the good work.
Gorgeous. Fantastic proportions. Lexus finally turned a corner with the LS.
Jo Blo Boring? I get its your opinion, but you seen the new A8. That sedan is too conservative. Atleast this and the New S class has some presence.
I love your reviews. They’re always very interesting and informative.
The patterns on the seat actually mirrors the F sport unique grill, pretty neat attention to detail.
So let me quickly state something. I've seen already several reviews on this ls500 and always did not like it. However, for some reason looking at it in this video, i actually love it. looks like Audi and Lexus are on a race to see who can make the front of a car all grill.
+Jo Blo- WRONG. Lexus INVENTED LED lighting technology on their automobiles and were the first to employ it in the Lexus 600hl. Class dismissed.
You are aware that Audi were considered unreliable pieces of crap when they first came out right?
Love your style of auto reviews, comprehensive, detailed and fed in very palatable manor. Your the best! My dream car 😍😍
I love this guy's reviews .
Excellent review with a beautiful looking Lexus
Excellent job on this review.
Best review so far!!!!!!!!
Lexus did great. That and the CT6 are the two best styled full sizers on the road
Another great vid Dave,
Need to ask your advice, looking for a SUV that is great in snow and will give me the longevity? Perhaps your top 5? Thx
Gorgeous.
It still has an optical slot for CDs and MP3 discs.
This Car And The Lincoln Continental Are One Of The Few Cars In This Segment That Doesn’t Look Like They’ll Be Bought To Chauffeur People.
Awesome review, thanks.
Cars handling and performance?
You can close the trunk the same way you opened it btw.
This is sublime Japanese luxury. Imagine having this bad boy as a family car
Am I the only one not impressed by the back seats without the reclining package? They're just regular seats, same as in any other car. I feel like only the fully equipped version is really impressive, and the exterior looks are still debatable.
Question: is the package for the multimedia screens on the back seats removable? So can they be put on and taken off by the owner/driver?
Good job man
There is a stalk for snow mode? Is there a stalk for refill lid release?
Now please a LSF
Beautiful looking engine? We didn't see it.
Nice job!
I really like the interior, especially since it is their own take and not a copy "Germans luxury" like even the Germans are doing these days. Other car manufacturers need to do an actual full redesign from the ground up. Not all of these half-measures and small refreshes. Great job Dave!
Lexus might as well make a second hood for this car since you can only see the plastic engine cover.
Does the driver's seat sense if somebody or something is behind it so it won't slide back automatically?
something about a lexus LS without a V8 that bothers me.
Damn i feel like this car is literally alive👀sick technology.
I'm really liking this interior but the exterior seems more Mazda or Hyundai to me instead of top of the line Lexus. It also appears to have a very narrow trunk opening like so many of these new fastback designs tend to have.
I hope lexus will add massage feature also in the driver's seat of lc 500. I mean, thats 100k dollars
Toyota went from heck no to ya, now they are giving you a 85k car? Nice work Dave!! Thorough review and nicely done video work showing all the equipment. ( Gx, cough cough off road park. Pond from hell has no chance. Just a thought) 😁😁😉😁😁😁
when was the last time a Lexus was cheap, they've always be pricey. so it should be $85k, cause it's way better than a BMW.
Toyota went to “heck no to ya” like in mid 80’s, (or much early if we count the GT2000) just an update. You might by thinking of Hyundai/Kia that just recently went from “heck no” ... to “maybe why not”

Dave Lusk it’s because Toyota use to produce pretty boring terrible cars that just lived on their predecessors success and now they are actually trying.
if money wasn't an option, this would be my dream car.
best in class
wish they had kept the V8 tho
0-100 km/h for lexus ls 500?
Looks like Toyota has completely moved in to their Plano HQ, explains the new Texas Manufacturer plates rather than the previous California Manufacturer plates.
Test drive next for new, next Gen ES model. 🤔
Good review best quality car
What if I don't like this instrument? All cars in this price range are offering a configurable screen of some sort
For me it's the most beautiful car in the world
Hey Dave. I am sure this was both fun and coddling at the same time.
This F-Sport is amazing but the Toyota developed infotainment system is horrible. Dated graphics, slow processing speed (anyone else notice the buffering symbol while Dave was demonstrating it?), and no Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.

wait... you cant fold the seats down???

Looking forward to a Subaru Ascent first look.
drink15 I don't see the point of F Sport on the LS. It is a big luxury sedan. Just offer the executive package.
My 18 is350 f sport only gets 20 mpg why is that ?
Love the car..except the rear tail lights that look like a Camry's
I thought they would have been getting ready to move on from the spindle grille design by now but the just made a 2018! model LS with the same grille they have been using for years now 🤔. What a beautifull car, nailed it!!!!
Ok people, let's call a spade a spade; I was at the international auto show yesterday and had the chance to sit in the back seat of this car. The head room is horrendous for tall people. I dont know, until you said it was an LS, i thought you were reviewing the Camry based Lexus... maybe its the color, but it just looks kind of 'blah'.
WHY DO Y'ALL TALK ABOUT THESE CARS, AND TALK ABOUT EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE AUDIO SYSTEM ?
Am I the only one who likes the previous generation's design better?
usual buyers of this car are eldery, well to do, drivers who like simple!!! LS350 Turbo is what the name should be!!!!
The sounds the infotainment system makes reminds me of a ps4
In this car for it to really compete with something like an s class u need the executive package, it introduces power back seats, cooled back seats, massaging seats, for the front and back and different types of trims
BMW has proven than 6 speed is too little. 9 is too much. 8 is perfect. 7 is not perfect.
Therefore 10 speed Lexus is not reasonable.
This car needed a 4.0tt v8 with around 480hp $80k for a v6 wtf,cant compete with s550,s63a8,s8 anymore.
The car that the Everyman can’t afford
the epic car is nx 2018 specially interior
Outgoing model looks better
I agree. outgoing looks more graceful. LS is supposed to be mature design but this looks a bit immature and childish. my guess is lexus is trying very hard to capture the young demographic. but I'm afraid they're alienating loyal users.
❤❤❤❤ it !
I’ll keep my ls600hL
There are more buttons on steering wheel than there are in my vehicle.
can i go for a ride with this man
That LCD screen quality is laughable. Why is there so much bleed through? It looks like the LCDs from 2007.
Nice car and video! But not paying 2X of the value of the Toyota Avalon. By the way Do you have a review of the Avalon Dave? I’d love to see on video of you reviewing the Avalon. Thank you!
From the side it looks like a Tesla Model S. Especially the window line and the rims.
Rhazzarn exactly!! People disagree when I say ,Model S with a Lexus front. Trading my ls460 in a couple years ,GUARANTEED!!!
Awesome
Need a car that does not break every day like bmw or Mercedes get a lexus or infiniti end of story .
The only impressive thing about this car is that damm twin turbo engine 😍😍
F sport model without the v8? Thats weirs
Shundarian J Catron F-sport is a trim not the F performance line, it's a difference. Their supposed to be working on a twin turbo v8 for the actual LS-F.
3.5 V6 are you kidding me this should have a turbo or how can you compare to a V8?
Vincent Bruce this is a twin turbo V6. More hp and torque than the previous V8
twin turbo 6 cylinder have powered many a great race car.
Very nice car. I think it's best in black with red interior.
I’m sorry but the grill && new head && tail lights are terrible , they should’ve kept the more simplistic 2015-2016 look
It looks like a Tesla on the profile
Dave it`s not a review if you don`t drive the car.
I like the Lexus GS 300 are the GS 350 but if I can get it give me my Toyota Avalon
This thing loses to its German rivals on so many levels.
I was disappointed for being a LS, there's no comparison to Mercedes s class or BMW 7 series, they blow this car to the side lines 🤔
BMW 7 series is so outdated. Even with the new refresh, this F-Sport doesn't have all of the luxurious amenities that it can come with. When those are equipped it is a true competitor.
Runflats = FAIL.
Side profile was ripped from a Tesla Model S.. don't even try and argue😏😏
I don't see the point of F Sport on the LS. It is a big luxury sedan. Just offer the executive package.
well your blind
They offer an executive package with 28 way power seat, shiatsu massage, 24 inch color HUD. F-Sport is meant to compete with M Sport 7 series.
Not a big fan of the interior.
I hate how he pulls out all of the dampened objectives quit that. It's delicious the way everythign slowly opensa nd falls out.
Looks like a KIA Stinger
I like lexus, but their tech is always at least a generation behind the germans...
Yes, but their design is a generation ahead. I'd rather have the superior design.
no it isn't, Lexus are always ahead of the Germans. BMW is trash.
J J I
Dark Raven Jr compare the tech...the Japanese always trail and copy what they like
weirdshibainu So they copied an Optional 24 inch heads up display and etc. the Germans don't have? This Lexus is not even all the way optioned out. This is advanced for its options and standard equipment it has.
stop opening the engine bay just to show a cheap plastic cover waste of time
No longer looks like a luxury sedan. If you want this look? Save some $$$ and buy a Nissan Maxima or a Camry.
Maxima for sure. The new one looks great.
+ssjMaximum22Goku I agree
I think the car is ugly inside and out . Maybe with a lighter interior color it wouldn't look so bad inside , but nothing can help the exterior . no V8 just a V6 on a $80K-$90K luxury car, HHHMMM the jury is still out on this one 😕
Those seats look terrible..looks like a Buick.
XJL Jag looks so much better, this car looks to much like an ES
