This is not the first 100k plus Lexus. The first LS600HL back in 2008 was over 100k and so is the current Lexus LX570 SUV and so was the LFA. Please stop being surprised at this Lexus makes world class cars. With that being said this new Lexus LS500 is beautiful. I like this more then the Benz S class and BMW 7 series. The design inside and out is very unique. A design language that is very Japanese. The German rivals are busy copying each other while this Lexus LS500 is completely unique and has its own character. You hit the nail on the head about its V6 performance beating out the other germans V6 S class and 7 Series. That a big point no one else has said. Great review man this car can NOT be beat for its price.
I’ve always respected Lexus-they build nice luxury cars that seem to be bulletproof reliable and their buyers are usually very loyal. I know a lot of people who won’t buy anything else. And I agree that you get a lot for the money in this LS compared to a similar 7-series or S-class.
Toyota4Life slow, uninspiring, and already dated. Sales have plummeted. This car is overpriced and the so-called F-Sport is just badging, means nothing substantial.
Torque is more important than hpfor these full size, heavy, luxury sedans. And the 5 litre v8 within the lexus lineup is too small to make big torque naturally. But the twin turbo v6 has an ample amount
I am trading my Audi A8L 2011 that I paid almost $100 K back in 2011 for this LS 500 F Sport. This video helps me to move faster to buy one. Thanks, good video man keep up the good work.
I'd bet real money that Lexus is planning a full F version of the LS, likely with a turbo V8, but they'll probably wait for the mid cycle refresh. Personally, I think the twin turbo V6 is actually perfectly suited to the LS. It has plenty of power, sounds pretty damn good when pushed, and is surprisingly fuel efficient to boot...it's a win win win. That said, I'm always in favor of high performance trims of luxury cars, even though I probably wouldn't buy one. It's an extremely small market segment, but I applaud the brands that still offer one, despite the inevitable low sales they generate.
@@dlg5485 I wasn't coming at you that way. As a lexus fan, I woupdve loved to have seen lexus make an f ls500 or lc500 with a twin turbo 5 litre v8. That wouldvebeen a fantastic amg and m competitive car and a future classic collector car. Not to me tion lexus reliability and performance. But due to poor sales, they see it as a waste of money and time. The car that started the company off seems to be on its way of becoming an axed car within the future. I know it's bad because ppl are saying the es with the ul package is a much better car than the ls500 in terms of comfort n smoothness. But the styling of the ls is boss player and balling. It's a shame
Yeah, I would get the GSF, but I think this is the last year for GSF, makes me sad I was planning on getting a 2020 model. I drove one, that NA V8 sounds amazing.
lexus is the only brand i've ever owned. I will continue because they are so reliable and affordable but the side of this looks similar to the nissan maximum. I might need to look at the es or rx 350.
great review, precise and to the point, excellent car... way better than the germans who IMO are getting A LOT of inspiration from Lexus, specially Audi (massive front grill and air vents, rear bumps, actually all mayor manufacturers are doing it thanks to LEXUS) I would definitely buy it if I could afford it, for now I'll settle with my awesome CT200H and maybe next year UX or NX.
I think that his was the point where lexus finally completely separated itself from its Toyota counterpart. I didnt see one piece of swtichgear that shared a resemblence with parent company Toyota.
I really love the new LS and love the V6 direction. It reminds me of the original LS400 when it first came out and what it did to the market. If I had the budget to buy such a sedan I would definitely take it, overall German competitors.
As with pretty much ALL high end cars now. Even most super cars utilize augmented engine sound these days. Now that turbo charging is the norm, bolstering sound is also a new norm. My feeling is...who cares?! If the vehicle performs well, that's all I care about.
Wow super sexy large lexus sedan😍 I think it can cost $100.000 Lexus is toyota and toyota is lexus. Toyota products are⤵ Reliable Durability Of course best selling😎
Yes LEXUS is a very nice car/ But somewhat Overpriced. Yes it is Overpriced it’s a well Dressed TOYOTA Product. Yes they do put more into a LEXUS that’s 👍
Your a fucking idiot if you think this car is over priced. Its the best value in its class. It should cost more but it under cuts its competition while having more power and more tech and luxury

You forgetting the GSF, that thing fully loaded is over 100k. It's an amazing car though.
Toyota4Life slow, uninspiring, and already dated. Sales have plummeted. This car is overpriced and the so-called F-Sport is just badging, means nothing substantial.
Looks really nice in person. I am going for one just like this one - same color and interior.
That’s awesome - it’s a beautiful car
In person it's looks so elegant
Yea, this car is badass. I am getting a Gs 350 f sport. I can't afford one of these but in a couple years i hope to move to this
Lexus needs a V8 with at least 500hp for this huge sedan.
Torque is more important than hpfor these full size, heavy, luxury sedans. And the 5 litre v8 within the lexus lineup is too small to make big torque naturally. But the twin turbo v6 has an ample amount
Lexus is Making the Grill Great Again and I love it!
Exquisite inside & out. Beautiful proportions.

Wgat makes you want to trade the audi in?
Saw one today parked...OMG they look beautiful!!!

Well this comment didnt age well
@@blackice7408 Most don't, but who cares. It's not that serious.

good review under 11 min
Thanks! I try to keep them short but still cover all of the important aspects of the car.
Yea, some guys do 30 minute epic hah
Wow very nice car.
I love it.
Me too! Extremely comfortable and looks awesome.
One Day in my life I buy a car or motorcycle like 400cc or1000cc but in my dreams . For now I looking job for my future motorcycles or photos camera
Alvin Avila I have this car
Gosh it would sound so much better with that 4.6 V8 😭😭 I hate turbos.
Yeah, I would get the GSF, but I think this is the last year for GSF, makes me sad I was planning on getting a 2020 model. I drove one, that NA V8 sounds amazing.
Is a panoramic moonrof an option for 2018, or is that only available for the 2021 model and up?
Well done mate. Great review.
Best luxury and reliable but we need v8
Can't be the best if it lacks the V8.
What a good review, top!
good looking car

I'm buying this car summer of 2019!!!!

4 liter twin turbo v8 is the sweet spot
Wish it was a small V8 engine block such as 4.0 L with twin turbo.
Yes like Mercedes has! Agreed and it would sound so much better
Why would u want turbos? That's the last thing I want. IDC for all out power this isn't an ANG, M, RS or S, or even a F
I think that his was the point where lexus finally completely separated itself from its Toyota counterpart. I didnt see one piece of swtichgear that shared a resemblence with parent company Toyota.
@The Test Drive
How do you get to drive these motor vehicles very often? Sorry if I puzzle you with this question.
It depends, sometimes I get them from owners or dealerships or sometimes they are rentals.
@The Test Drive
Hmm. Just like I get my drives from cars belonging to my aunt, uncle, mother, etc.
want those stock dubs for my LS460,bet they're at least 2g's a corner!!
How dose it sound , hello new to your channel thumbs up
whats the depreciation on this car tho??
british people yellow teeth better than the audies beamers and Mercedes 😂
Robotic Venom really? thats cool ill consider one of these babys then...
@The Test Drive
I like the engine under the hood; sort of looks like another trunk or a storage box.
Yeah it’s interesting how all of the components are basically hidden
@The Test Drive
Yeah.

Nice!!
I LIKE IT A LOT but hate to gey rid of my 4.6 😣
I wish there was still a V8 option...they could’ve easily put the 5.0L V8 into this car.
What place is that
Random parking lot behind a warehouse in upstate NY.
The back seat is awfully boring. Although I really love the exterior, the interior is rather boring. So I bought the 2018 GS350 F sport.
Nice looking, but it’s massive. I’ll never find parking for that thing in LA. And the parking spots in my work parking garage are tiny. So, nope. 👎🏼
Lexus ls 😍😈
Lacks power, options and technology to cost 100k imo.
the sound is generated by the speakers tho
As with pretty much ALL high end cars now. Even most super cars utilize augmented engine sound these days. Now that turbo charging is the norm, bolstering sound is also a new norm. My feeling is...who cares?! If the vehicle performs well, that's all I care about.
alright dude
My dream car. #OneDay
I own the exact same car
Are thr black inserts on the seats alcantara or black leather?
Lexus King Street
The red leather looks dated already.
courgargold looks fantastic to me! How's it dated?
A V8 should be optional.
it would be so easy since they already have the 5.0L V8 in the GS F
×LS 500
○LS 350t
2 much for me:(
It’s expensive! But the non F-Sport LS is significantly less so there are options!
then go for more expensive cars like bmw or if lexus Is too much for you
Wow super sexy large lexus sedan😍
I think it can cost $100.000
Lexus is toyota and toyota is lexus.
Toyota products are⤵
Reliable
Durability
Of course best selling😎
Looks like $80k Camry
Fuck no mate
Dumb
God dude don't comment if you're no even a car guy man🤦🤦🤦
It is related to Toyota century.
Go search about it.
You're correct they don't differ enough esthetically to cost 100k. Plus the performance of both is too similar aswell.
looks cheap.
Yes LEXUS is a very nice car/ But somewhat Overpriced. Yes it is Overpriced it’s a well Dressed TOYOTA Product. Yes they do put more into a LEXUS that’s 👍

Toyota4Life oh well. That’s. My. Opinion. It’s. Overpriced. Plain & Simple Love it or Leave. It✌️
Audi and even Lamborghinis are just cheap Volkswagens as well😂😬
You're crazy if you don't see the value in this car. The German competitors are overpriced. The LS is an absolute bargain!
NATHAN LEE ohhhh so u think the Mercedes and beamer and Audi competitors are overpriced as well right?
