Thank you for sharing this recipe!! I just made it for tonight's dinner and the family LOVES it!! My husband said "you can definitely make this dish again!" I really like the fact
that you can put what ever vegetables you like in it and change the cream soup to give it different flavors. I used chicken breasts that I air fried prior to putting in the casserole as I love that air fried chicken flavor. I also tweeked it with some different spices. I did Not add any salt as everything that you put in it has enough salt no need to add more. Was so easy to make. This will be a family favorite from this point on!

My late husband of 49 yrs couldn't find his butt with two hands in the kitchen but I think he would've been able to handle this. I'm a scratch cook and baker, even I like this recipe. Much success with your channel. Subbed and rang the bell. :o)

Thank you so much for the great compliment. I have a really good friend (that was 39 at the time) that I’ve been teaching to cook the past few years. Now he makes his family meals several times a week. Watching his confidence grow in the kitchen has been awesome. Turns out he loves cooking 😂. Thank you again for reaching out and also watching!

@@CookitSimplewithEric Glad to hear it and I'm sure you're helping others learn with your channel. I've had men ask me to marry them in front of their wives and my husband over my food. What ticked me off is NO ONE seemed to mind, they would just nod in agreement. lol :o)

Trying it right now! One day later, it turned out great! Like Thanksgiving dinner in a pan. Had about 1 1/2 lbs of cooked mixed chicken, so used a whole can of mixed veggies also. Delicious! Next time, I may throw a handful of dried cranberries in also, to make it even more like Thanksgiving dinner! Just had to subscribe, I'm all about fast and simple cooking.

I was really impressed with how this turned out. I had made a variation of this in the past that wasn't as tasty as your recipe. I did make a few changes, I used a rotisserie chicken which you said was an option, added half a can each of corn and green beans and small can of carrots instead of your frozen vegetables and used the broiler at the end to make it a little crunchier. Definitely making it again! Any chance you will be making a Salisbury steak anytime soon?

Thank you for watching! It sounds like you’ve made a recipe you can call your own and I like the changes you made. That’s why I love cooking, you can make the recipes however you like. I would enjoy making Salisbury steak in the near future. Thank you for the suggestion. Enjoy!

The hands need to be washed thoroughly after touching raw chicken. Sounds really yummy!

Thank you for watching. If you look closely at the cabinet to the right behind me, you will see the lighting change. That was where I edited out me washing my hands. It was such a smooth transition that is does look like I went straight to touching the salt and pepper. I wash my hands several times during the cooking process. It really is a great simple recipe.

Even your kids can make this dish. But they will skip the vegetables every time. 😊

Looks amazing, will make. Question tho, is it really necessary to not mix the chicken in with the gravy/veggie mix? Also, could you use sour cream instead of the milk?

    • @CookitSimplewithEric
      @CookitSimplewithEric  3 месяца назад +1

Great question! I don’t see why you couldn’t do all of that. Mixing the chicken in would save a step. I know some recipes I’ve seen, sour cream is used. I would make the dish your own way and make it your recipe. Thank you for watching! Enjoy.

Good choice on the thighs. I think they are a little juicier usually. So with the cream of chicken mushroom soup, how did that turn out? And thank you for watching my video.

Dang, Eric. You must have a professional dishwasher coming behind you to clean up. Recipe looks good, though. I’ve become the Chief Cook and Bottlewasher since my wife was diagnosed with dementia almost 4 years ago. I can see this going on the meal rotation. Also, replacing the stuffing with mashed potatoes like a shepherd’s pie.

Thank you for watching the video. I do tend to make some messes while I cook lol. Unfortunately it’s just me and Stewart that lives at the house so I have to do all the cleaning. I am sorry to hear about your wife, that is not an easy thing to deal with. I hope you enjoy the recipe and the mashed potatoes sound like a very interesting idea. Thank you again.

Did you wash your hands after touching the chicken or did you just contaminate everything you touched.

    • @CookitSimplewithEric

I did wash my hands. In an earlier comment I answered that same question. I edited that part out to keep the video shorter. If you look again you will see a lighting change in the cabinet behind me on the right. Thank you for watching the video and I hope you enjoy it.
