Dumbest idea to come out of Detroit in decades. With my 2018 F-150, I was able to unplug a connector near the left kick panel, and there were no side effects. Was hoping there would be a similar solution to this nanny state problem.
So You all hate it. Before you crucify it read the manual. The start stop feature is the equivalent of the canary miners used to carry. For the Stop start to work 15 other items must be engaging, including everything from low battery, to insufficient brake vacuum. Maybe not every day, but at least once a week you should turn it on and make sure it's working. Don't say "Oh Goodie" it's not working. You may have an issue that require attention.
Good vid but not a fan of your system. There is a gizmo called the auto start stop eliminator. .its modular plug and play behind the button and if turn it off, the unit remembers its off next time unstart the car. .u still have use of the button and can remove it any time u want I spent $60 K on a Brinco so another $99 bucks dont bother me. There is a caviot lol. U have to remove a trim panel to install it!
I was feeling the same thing but with this way I don’t forget and have the damn thing turn off on me. The message on the dash is just a reminder now I guess. As far as I know previous Ford models to the bronco did not throw that extra message on the dash when unplugging.
My main issue is I forget to hit that "one button" the ok is definitely annoying but at least it doesnt shut off on me because I forgot to push the button.

Cool workaround but I'll just stick to Sport mode or a hardware override (ODB2). Like the b-roll of the drone.

Why can't car manufacturers give us the option to control how things work ON OUR OWN VEHICLES?
Joe Biden and green wienies
If you still have to push a button every time you get in the car, I don’t really see the point.
So either way you are pushing a button, difficult choice. wonder if there is a way to ground it so the warning doesn't come on
Perfect

Yeah I think I’ll just leave mine alone! I will just push the button and disable it if I remember and first stop sign I will remember!!
Nope will leave it alone and disable manual stop/start. If you still have to hit a button it defeats the purpose.

I’d rather press one button. Now your hitting ok . big deal just put it in sport mode

But….. I still have to push a button.
Ya, best option is to use Fordcan program with an adapter and program it out
