My dear friend Linda - you're a wonderfull person and i have the privilege to know you personaly. I am so pround you call me "My son" and i will never forget the day many years ago when we went shopping together in Bern, Switzerland. Linda, i hope you are well and it would be so great, to meet you again soon. Thanks Linda, for all the joy you give to the world with your outstanding voice
Linda Hopkins, you are so awesomely healing, never change a thing! A star from young and still shining brightly! Thanks for your love and respect, God bless you always. Thanks for posting Geepereet, Linda's still performing here in Los Angeles and would love to come your way. Don't miss her if you ever get the chance!
linda worked in honolulu hawaii 1955 and she came into my mothers night club, she was a show stopper on the jam sessions, and mother hired her for 75.00 a week. Later, ordered record and she was with jackie wilson and that was about the time they teamed up. she went on to great things. she sounded the same as you hear here.
With Kenny Moore playing piano .. he was a fantastic pianist and singer , one of the best i have ever heard ...a soulful voice with a piano playing from the great gospel tradition....alone he was sensational , unfortunately he died way too young in 1997..
This puts me in mind of the night I saw Miss Linda in "Your Arm's Too Short To Fight With God" in Los Angeles. She, and the rest of the cast, must have done a dozen encores that night. One of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. Linda Hopkins is one of the greats.
I MET THIS LADY LINDA HOPKINS 36 YEARS AGO in her private dressing room because i got the HOLY GHOST while she sang.I sing because she lived, and I am saved because she lived. Saved is to repent of sins and take Christ into you heart and have a personal relationship with Jesus just as you are.No one knows why i love her so much and i never said a word...thank you momma for the best advice. Honey let folks think you are a dreamer and they will look up one day and God done picked you.
In 1996 i was privileged to work with Ms Hopkins AKA "The Kid" to work with her on the musical Black and Blue for 90 shows as an audio engineer. I have favourable memories of that time.
I was blessed to be the only singer to sing at her funeral in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she died. The Funeral was held at Christian Faith Fellowship Church. Pastor, Biship Darrell Hines
Interesting. She just flipped the script. What's she's wearing and singing don't match. Doesn't matter one bit though. I am so happy to hear her perform. She's Amazing.
A Beautiful Spirit of Love & Light. God Bless You Ms. Hopkins!✨💫✨🧡
"Precious Lord" I've heard this song all my life, but wasn't listening until I heard Linda Hopkins sing it.
