Just stumbled across your channel its such a down to earth channel and I love how you are very knowledgeable and seem to not be egocentric at all.... I'm loving the videos
Great video's, you have inspired our entire family to get back out into the woods! Our family has learned so much from you're video's, keep up the good work! Thank you.
I don't know... I see the scratch in the finish around the 2:40 mark and wonder how the rest of the knife will look in 6 months. I love dark blades but none of mine stand up to battoning very long. Please let us know and thanks for showing it!
The finish is due to it coming off of the forge and not being cleaned up. It is not a coating that is applied like an ESSE knife. It is susposed to look beat
I ordered the Mountaineer from PKS which is a little smaller than the Grizzly and has a smooth drop point. I'm looking forward to using it in the woods.
This is the second time now I have saved to buy a good bushcraft blade and then when I go to the website the product isn't there?......I really like this knife... I had decided to purchase it because of the similarity between it in shape compared to my old hickory butcherer....which has served me really well!.....will these be available again?
I sent off for two knives you recommended for EDC. A used German army Swiss trekker for $25. And a moral garbor for $59. I'm keeping my eyes on other tools but for now I'm staying at the basic level. Got a stainless Coffey grinder from Firebox. That's a luxury item but it's an 11th C, coffee. The Mora arrived today with a bad sheath then I saw the Sk2L Embla and it was love at first sight. It has the soul of the Mora and the body of the SOG scuba Demo.
PKS is making some solid products at a very attractive price for what they are. I would say very similar to pricing and construction methods from Condor which seems to me to be surprising for a U.S. made knife. I think they will do very well, though I see they have dropped the Phantom II, which I really liked. Well done Mr. C & PKS! Thanks for showing it Cpl. Kelly. 👍🏻
Thank you for taking time out of your day during blade show in Atlanta this year to take a picture. In your opinion comparing this knife with the mora Garberg which one would you go with. I like both and currently own the Garberg but liked the knife in this review as well. Any comments are appreciated. Be blessed friend
I have the original model Grizzly with walnut scale handle. I really like the knife. I bought it together with the PKS Black Bear and have been carrying and using them as a pair or companion set this spring. The Black Bear has been getting most of the use and I'm hoping that PKS will start back producing the Black Bear again in their product line, it's an excellent knife, great for bushcraft. Jim Canterbury commented on a FB post that they may start back producing the Black Bear again later this year....that would be awesome especially if they do the "Dirty by Design" version of it with micarta scale handles. I'm planning on getting one of the "Dirty By Design" Grizzly's with micarta scale handles sometime this summer. That's for the video Shawn. Keep up the good work I really enjoy your vids.
Had a question about the size of the scales (Hand grip size) but Sonja's (hope I spelled it right) answer and your vid sold me. Placing my order on payday. Thanks Corporal!
Thanks much for sharing great information!!! I'm really wanting to save up to buy that knife!!! Put it in a yellow hawk sheath and I'll be good to go!! Blessings 😇 🇺🇸
Good to go in my book too. Looks like a great blade. Throws sparks really good too. I like to see that they are leaning more towards making a bit more of a finger stop or guard than before.. great review as always bro!
Shawn, do you have a favourite PKS knife, Grizzly Mountain Lion, Mountaineer? I can’t decide. :) I notice the sheaths don’t have a loop for ferro rod. Do you add a dangler? Micarta vs the new curly maple? Love your content.
I've put my hands on this model, a while ago and I was positively surprised by its ligthness. Feahtersticking is a dream, and I love 1095, so easy to maintain on the field...good review corporal
I own several PKS knives and as someone who owns too many knives I can say that PKS does a great job with both the sharpened spine as well as the finish. The Scorpion XL is my favorite PKS knife. It isn’t as thick as the Scorpion HD so it’s much ‘slicier’. I have the HD, but I may attempt to raise the grind height. From the looks of the Grizzly in your video the scandi grind seems higher than my HD and probably slices better.
...love your feathersticking technique. I have got to teach that method. And lovin' the old school BDU look. Another great video except for one thing - now you make me want to buy a Griz...
I own the former model, exact same knife except for the finish. Looks virtually indestructible to me. I carry a saw, hatchet and/or saw-backed short machete for heavier work such as splitting/batoning. But the Grizzly model knife is certainly a very strong cutting tool. Very good review.
Now THAT'S an outstanding knife. It looks great and the function test you did was thorough! The price point is excellent also. I'm looking into the "mountain lion" one with the kydex. That "Grizzly" is awesome too. Decisions decisions! Excellent video.
Awesome review. Looks like a mint knife, how does this knife compare to say the mora bushcraft black? This grizzly seems like a great knife for a very reasonable price.
been looking at the Skinner with the curly maple handle for about a month a now.....wife says if i buy another knife that i might as well get her one 2 or not at all lol
I love me some knives, but the wife has me on knife probation, after i finally found a Crowell and Barker Camp/Chopper, that and the custom pendleton, I'm sure I'm done for the year. They look quality though, maybe next year.
Greatly enjoy your style & content. You speak clear, “piss” straight & deliver the goods succinctly. Good Leadership!... Great Bushcraft/Survival Knife... hardened just right, ~ 58HRC... Thanks

Thank you.
great looking line of knives
I had never heard of that brand. Thank you for the introduction. Good to know!
Enjoyed the video. Be blessed
Very good. I have the original satin finish one, and it's part of my regular hiking kit. Very sharp, very strong, and very multifunctional !
I think I just fell in love with this knife!!
I don't know... I see the scratch in the finish around the 2:40 mark and wonder how the rest of the knife will look in 6 months. I love dark blades but none of mine stand up to battoning very long. Please let us know and thanks for showing it!

I like my knives the same way that i like my women ..... and that's my kind of knife!
You mean dirty by design?
I'm diggin the Mountain Lion model, love that look. Great video Cpl.!
Camp Hard i have the mountain lion and its a great blade shape...one of if not my favorite knives! And i have many
Beautiful knife! Thanks Great music too.

Wish you'd do a video like this for all the PKS knives. Maybe one with them all side by side too.
If I got them for free, I would. Thanks for watching
Good to go Cpl. Kelly. Looks like an awsome knife to have in the field. Rugged, simple, and affective. That's a big oooorah from me. : )
Just held one. Gotta have it. NICE

Another great video.
Nice lookin knife. Wouldn't mind putting one to the test.
What is the cutting angle of a Grizzly Knife from Self Reliance Outfitters
Nice looking blade for the woods!
Enjoyed the video. I started to buy this knife but ended up going with the scorpion with curly maple. Love it. Be blessed and great review
Great looking knife Corp....... Thanks for showing us....
You always need a good knife in the woods and this SIR, is one outstanding tool. Thankyou again for your service and see you in your next video.
Good video. Great review. From Glenn CATT in Massachusetts.
The way it works the wood,,, tells me it's a MUST have 👍🏼🆙

this knife was discontinued, unless it is back. with that said I will take a mora over this knife. Thanks for watching
@@recall5811 thanks again
hi how do i shop for the knife. through you or does pathfinders ?
Right on brother. Thanks for the demo.
I wish they offered it with micarta scales
I like it! It looks great while you were using it. Thanks for the review
Pretty handsome knife
Enjoyed feather stick. Nice demo all round.
That's one beefy knife! I believe Pathfinder makes some of the best custom knives for the money. These knives are made to be used.
Excellent design review/demo.
You have inspired to build a knife that looks like that one. Thanks
Jim
Hold moly! Best knife i ever seen!

I am really enjoying all your vids corporal .Well done .
Looks like a great tool. Thanks for the review brother.
Great looking tool! Thanks for the video
Good knife thanks for the review.
Looks like a great knife
Really enjoyed the video. Keep up the good work. God Bless
I'm not into $100 knives but that one sure is a beaut! Than you for the demo!
Any concern with thumping on those maple handles?
nope. thanks for watching
Does it damage or wear the spine of the knife eventually when using it frequently with the ferro rod?
Looks like a great design! 👍🏻
Very cool! Started a fire by sparking into shavings! Sparks by just striking the blade aggressively!! Good video, sir.
Now that's a knife.
That's a solid knife. Looks well made. Excellent. 😎
Nice review, simple and easy to understand what the practical how to use a knives.
Looks like a solid piece of steel! Awesome looking knife, I like it.... 👍
Good to go in my book too. Looks like a great blade. Throws sparks really good too. I like to see that they are leaning more towards making a bit more of a finger stop or guard than before.. great review as always bro!
TAC-HILL yeah that was a big weakness. Like i understand you want an old timey look but finger guards are so handy with little drawback
Have they stopped selling this knife?
Shawn, do you have a favourite PKS knife, Grizzly Mountain Lion, Mountaineer? I can’t decide. :) I notice the sheaths don’t have a loop for ferro rod. Do you add a dangler? Micarta vs the new curly maple? Love your content.

Like this knife! A beast!
A very well built instrument 👍
Nice, need that knife

Very nice looking knife
A knife like that would keep me happy. Price is good.. Are they USA made? Thank you for the video
do they come from the factory that sharp, or did you touch it up?
They come that sharp
This knife must not be available anymore. I can't find it.
Nice blade...but is that Lucas' two note song in the background?
I own the former model, exact same knife except for the finish. Looks virtually indestructible to me. I carry a saw, hatchet and/or saw-backed short machete for heavier work such as splitting/batoning. But the Grizzly model knife is certainly a very strong cutting tool. Very good review.
Ahhh, not a TBS Grizzly. This looks a solid work horse. Did that old style thinner handle make a lot of difference?
Nice knife 👍
Nice Knife!
Lovely & sharp
Now THAT'S an outstanding knife. It looks great and the function test you did was thorough! The price point is excellent also. I'm looking into the "mountain lion" one with the kydex. That "Grizzly" is awesome too. Decisions decisions! Excellent video.
Thanks man
I assumed they deliver to the UK? Awesome feathering technique.
are you guys allowed to have those in the UK anymore? :)
THANK YOU
Woaw! Sharp!
Awesome review.
Looks like a mint knife, how does this knife compare to say the mora bushcraft black?
This grizzly seems like a great knife for a very reasonable price.
been looking at the Skinner with the curly maple handle for about a month a now.....wife says if i buy another knife that i might as well get her one 2 or not at all lol
she is mercyfull, thought you would hit the couch.
She’s a keeper lol.
Like the scorpion
The Grizzly looks like a fantastic option. I have a BK2 and really like that one,how would they compare in your opinion?
Owned a BK2 long ago. The grizzly is a better looking knife, but in the end it is your skill that matters. Thanks for watching
I love me some knives, but the wife has me on knife probation, after i finally found a Crowell and Barker Camp/Chopper, that and the custom pendleton, I'm sure I'm done for the year. They look quality though, maybe next year.

I think I'm gonna get me one of those, by the way. Good fucking video!!!
First view and comment
If Dave Canterbury is involved, you can bet your @$$ it's a rugged knife!
do you ever smile?
Solid Review!! Rrrahh 0311 S/F...
Noice!
Looks like it will get er done , thanks for sharing !
Nice review man!
The majority of the knives are too expensive. But good video.
there is always a bear grylls knife at Walmart. thanks for watching
Nice knife. There's controversy about using knives for batoning. Apparently you're OK with it?
With a 3/16 spine I am not worried
just bought 2 bench made knifes. just one star better :^)
I cant sharpen a damn knife. There duller than when I started
