Hello! I think this one is the longest one I ever made! It was a B to edit and render but here it is! This month I have schedule next the Defying Gravity part of this plus some other videos (like the Belting and Riffing one among others) Have a nice day!
14:09 Ock Joo-Hyun will always and forever have my favorite rendition of this song. She delivers with vocals, but adds so much fire and anger to No Good Deed that it makes me believe that she's truly turning 'Wicked'. More often than not people tend to enjoy the better vocalist Elphaba's, and while I love them all, so often the emotion and backstory to these songs gets lost in all of the fancy riffs. Ock kept it original, while also incorporating so much of what this song is meant to symbolize; a turning point where Elphaba truly decides she's going to be wicked.
Also Samantha Barks who met Idina Menzel and performed Defying Gravity on the BBC and went on to play Elsa on the West End. And Jackie Burns who has understudied Idina in so many things. There’s a whole following in Idina’s footsteps club. Lol 😊
@@laurenconrad1799 - oh, I didn't know Sam played Elsa! I absolutely loved her on that show on BBC, and have been interested in her career since ~ although, I must confess that I haven't been paying all that much attention over the last few years! Also Caroline Bowman. She played Elphaba and is the original Elsa on the north american tour. And actually so many other Elphies went on to play Elsa too.

Also she absolutely has the best ‘Fiyero’ before the big riff. Her dynamical contrast beats every other Elphaba! The way she descends at the end is also by far the best and fullest sounding! Her F5 sounds so effortless and mixed properly. Not only that, her acting in this song is impeccable! Asides Corneau, Jessica Vosk, Jackie Burns, Alyssa Fox, and Emmy Raver-Lampmen have some of the best NGD’s! Stephanie J. Block still holds her own against all these amazing riffs!
