I think she’s the most vocally effortless and healthy Elphaba to touch the Broadway production. She really knows how to use her voice to make those notes soar. You can hear the others struggle.
Wow! Just wow… Not only is she a phenomenal singer, she can act at the same time. She actually reminds me of a young Elaine Paige. Not vocally, but the way in which she can can keep the momentum going with nothing but music. I’ve seen too many “static” Elphabas that concentrate so hard to tackle the number that they lose the character. This woman is outstanding! She nailed that role. She never dropped her character once in order to sing this piece. It must have been marvellous to have seen Jessica Vosk live! Thanks for sharing!
She’s the best Broadway Elphie! Always will be! Love her voice and how powerful and healthy it is. I’m blown away by her vocals. Hope to see her live once
I wouldve loved to have seen her live in Wicked, but i can say, I've seen her live in a few shows at the Muny in StL, and she has been phenomenal! I will go to a show literally just because she's in it. She crushes every role she takes on!
1:42 Honestly shes so creative with the witch voice of the Wizard of Oz and the singing as well is just wow. I wish she was the one to be in the movie.
You’re watching a bootleg version of a theatre show that really can’t be compared to a Hollywood production. Theatre is meant to be watched live in person, not through a bootleg where the sound and visuals are not professionally done.
Jessica vosk is the only one who moves, acts, and sounds like Margaret Hamilton’s portrayal from the 1939 film. Unless we have Kerry Ellis which also sometimes sounds like her.
Still better than any other Elphaba, even better than Cynthia Erivo IMO! The range and tone of her voice are perfect for this role. She glides over those high notes. Not true of just about everyone else I’ve heard…including Erivo who you can hear almost struggling at a couple of points (in a recording).
@ No lies detected. To be specific, it’s at “look to the western sky”. Vosk doesn’t need to slide up to it, she’s just there. And also, “tell them how I am defying gravity, I’m flying high defying gravity”. Vosk’s tone is strong, full, and easy here. Erivo’s is no where near that…it’s got good ping but is quite thin and no where near as full. And on “de-Fy-ing” Erivo can only manage straight tone there (like most other Elphabas), and Vosk does it with vibrato AND an intentional cry/flourish. Yeah so that’s why I’m right LOL! Jk…just my opinion.
No stage Elphaba can surpass the vocal prowess of Cynthia Erivo-not when all their 'it's meee' moments sound like dying cats and they're constantly out of breath.
@@omqoreoz They're singing live after acting and moving around the stage what else do you want? You can hear cynthias heavy breathing in her version to so stop being delulu

Uhm, lindsay mendez???
Dee Roscioli. Donna Vivino.
Dee is always off tune and nasally.
@@neil2114um ok. Yeah always.
Willemijn Verkaik is also vocally effortless tbh.
Everyone deserves a chance to 👹FLY👹
Lollllll

1:42 Honestly shes so creative with the witch voice of the Wizard of Oz and the singing as well is just wow. I wish she was the one to be in the movie.
I love these two
I love her
She is the Celine Dion as Elphaba
Just another day. Just another Broadway RUclips rabbit hole.
Besides Jessica being iconic as ever, what camera did you use cause this is the best recording by far
Does anyone here watching this realize now that Jessica Vosk is the VA for Lute in Hazbin Hotel.
FANTASTICAL 💚💚💚💚
This was the peak
im jealous of people who got to see jessica’s elphaba live
3:08 "something has changed within me, something is not the same"

Lute is very impressive as Elphaba

Jessica Vosk evolution video??
i'm working on it!
@@legallywickedfor the 15th anniversary video can you use the one recorded from the front row?
@@space_9501 sure!
Wait okay yes Jessica is amazing we all love her but is that Bertram from Jessie?? 😭😭🙏
Jessica Vosk hands down is the best Elphie in theater. ❤❤❤❤ sadly the Glinda actress doesn't really match that energy or acting.
if we work in tanᵈeₘ
❤❤❤
Sorry, but after watching Cynthia and Ariana’s brilliance in the movie, these live versions just seem chaotic and uncontrolled.
"I must prefer the new ones"
Well movies and theater have different dynamics

BERTRAM???
is that Bertram from Jessie
What day was this? This was the exact month and year I saw her
Is that bertum from jessie as the wizard?
It looks like a single person accidentally clicked the dislike button. XD
Why does the wizard look like doctor eggman 😂😂 and why is lute covered in green paint
Is that fuckin BERTRAM 😮

The music is so much better than the music in the original movie
I think she is such a better version…

Both are the best! Can’t pick one for the top spot, so stop pitting women against each other smh 😒
