    Schools are bad in Doraville. Buford Highway is great if you love Asian and Latin American food, but it doesn’t offer anything else for a community. You have to drive to go to a hardware store or supermarket. How often are you going to eat out at restaurants?

    I had too many bad experiences living in Doraville. I lived there for a few years until I was able to leave and never looked back but the other locations are good though.

    Research shows Doraville has some of the worst schools in DeKalb county. Three potentially great Single-family zoned neighborhoods but all are overrun by rental houses for transient populations. 25% live in poverty. $25,500 is the average annual income. It's not a great place to invest your life's savings. Visit the town for the food but good luck trying to buy a house for your family to live in, Doraville's slumlords don't want "owner occupied" families in 'their' neighborhoods. Chamblee is your best bet.

      @@LivinginAtlantaTeam - Don't Agree with the List at All. Buckhead, Midtown, Old Fourth, Upper West Side, West Midtown so much missing.

      I'll take Decatur over all of these, especially over Avondale Estates, which is next to Decatur, and doesn't have near as good schools as Decatur, plus like you said, there are tons of restaurants, festivals etc compared to Avondale Estates, which is tiny. What you say about West End may be true, but until it gets a lot safer, I'd avoid it, and the schools are terrible.

  • @SouthernEli
    @SouthernEli 11 месяцев назад +1

    My brother in Christ, there is no easy commute from Doraville to any business district in Atlanta during rush hour; are you insane? Also, the schools in that area are terrible; please stop misleading these transplants. Doraville is a nice spot to eat, but that's it. If you really want a decent neighborhood along the Perimeter, Vinings or the Battery are way better options.
    Grant Park and Morningside are great, but I'm somewhat surprised you'd talk up the West End without plugging the Upper Westside.
