I clicked on this because I have a vague memory of liking this song in a movie when I was young. It must have been that movie I guess? I don't remember much else.
@@Deejaay83urj38 Yes, she was an unusual Guinevere. The "girl boss" trope hadn't been beaten into the ground at that point. So it was interesting rather than off-putting as it is today. The supporting cast was excellent. Mads Mikkelsen's laconic Tristan & the exuberant Bors played by Ray WInstone are good examples.
I live in the mountains (Switzerland) where celts and Romans use to live. When the fog drifts trough the mountains in autumn/winte, I can feel the magic. I really understand Tolkien, what he saw here. Thank you, i am becoming a big fan from you.
@@RachelHardy Thank you so much for your voice! I found a different version of this on Spotify years ago but could never find the name for it. It inspired my dnd character Frie Asterus and the world she inhabits.
This song is the first thing I think about when I remember the movie King Arthur. The mother sings this song for her child and others to listen to and to dream away. But the feeling the knights get when they hear it hits even more. The battle scars they carry all these years and the hope they will one day return to their families. Love it. Thanks Rachel 🙏 Great cover!👏
that scene is truuuly underated.. how great it actully is!! and jsut by reading ur comment i relived the moments i have watched it and got goosebumps al over again!! soo much emotions in that one scene!!
This movie about King Arthur's story is one of the best with the outstanding soundtracks and acting! This song trully confirms that. And Rachel confirms her huuuuge talent!🔥🔥🔥
The best Bard/Songstress ever.. listening to her somehow lets me escape reality and brought me back to my childhood playing rpg games and fantasy movies like Skyrim, LOTR, Narnia, Oblivion, RDR 😢
I was just listening to this soundtrack the other day and thinking this movie and score were criminally underrated and realized it is now 20 years old... I love your version of this song.
Just beautiful. You embody why people doing something for the love of doing it... always get to show their talent far more than those who are part of the machine. And why such things will always be more authentic. Haunting and wonderful. Thank you.
@@RachelHardy Rachel you have a passion in every single thing you do. You go into every single piece with everything on the highest level it's possible to reach. This is why I love people who put things out there on RUclips. You don't hold back. Everything is doing it to push your creative boundaries and your own talent. It's a genuine showcase. I will admit I am somewhat torn, though, because I feel like your talent should be making you millions. You're just that good.
This is a fantastic arrangement and cover! This song flies under the radar when it comes to memorable movie tunes, but it's so good! It should get more recognition. Thank you for sharing your amazing talents with us! Brava! 💐👏
Thank you very much for this masterpiece. It's a big pleasure to hear the full song finally. Your voice is like a organic part of the movie. This song gives me some hope that my Ukraine will survive after this bloody war with moscow empire and we will continue to live and create a wide range of incredible art things.
Why does this cause my heart to ache? Where is this longing coming from? This piece is absolutely beautiful and you have the voice of a goddess. Thank you.

Outstanding rendition for the song from one of my absolutely favourite films! King Arthur was amazingly entertaining that was surprisingly about the Fall of Rome.
This went straight to one of my favourite playlists. I had forgotten all about the music from this movie, and now I want to watch it again. A fantastic cover!
This is such a great pleasure to listen to your voice on a new cover. What I love the most about this one is that my mind is really transported into a early medieval world. You and Molty make a super team! Truly excellent👌🏻

Congratulations. I m italian and i can say that your voice is BELLISSIMA.
First time i listened to this i had a deja vu from around 10 years ago when Karliene sang this exact same song. Obviously it's the same song, but the tones and voice in general sounded so similar at several points, i couldn't help but make the connection. Beautifully sung, simply sublime! Keep it up! :)
A truly great and touching rendition of this song. You perfectly capture the essence and feeling of those this song speaks to. May all who long for their home return to them in safety. Bless you, lass.

This is such an underrated & often overlooked movie. Definitely a surprise to hear a cover of this song 20 years later. Not an unpleasant one.
