It's great but for Baltany, i think that homaging the discontinued references like the 1016 would be more logical. I hope they do that.
Update: two or three days ago Baltany did just that!

Great job by Baltany getting these out to influencers, I've seen many videos on this watch, but I haven't seen anyone label their video with "includes paid promotion"...
I don’t label mine. I’m not required here in aruba to do that. I want my videos to be as clean and unbiased as possible.
I've had mine for about a month and think it's great. I love the retro brown look. I was initially unsure about the 36mm size as I'm a fan of larger dive watches but the Baltany has really 'grown' on me. I have a 7.5 inch wrist. With the Baltany I can enjoy wearing it every day without being too precious about it...
Unless you are fool, you buy this and put the other $12,300 into NVDA stock, and/or TSLA. When they go up 5X. then maybe you sell some and buy the Rollie. My little portfolio, containing those two, jumped $1,000.67 in two days, Tuesday, July 9, 2024 and today, Wed. July 10, 2024. That was the change in in two days. It's hard to kick about last week too: Up $1,859.85 in the four trading days last week ending July 5, 2024.

Still trying to decide between the 36mm and 39mm 🤔
I just got the black dial version. It's a really nice watch; I was surprised that it's even better looking in person. It's running about 6 to 8 seconds fast per day. My only real complaints are: 1) It's a heavy watch at 133g, 2) Needs a fourth micro adjustment (only has 3), and wish it had a simpler way to micro adjust the band (instead of pins).
Great presentation and in depth review. I appreciate the presentation and the Baltany Explorer watch indeed is very nice however there one aspect or two that I would like to share with you sir and everyone watching. One observation in my view is the case side polished sides that are very nice however one thing I note is how easily said case sides of not careful can pick up mild to heavier scratches to said surface of the case and the last one particular that I would like to see is that for another $20 to $25 U S dollars the clasp could evolve to an on the fly adjustment like San Martin several models to easily and rather quickly adjust to a personalized wrist size without the need to make tool adjustments. Your thoughts and anyone else’s is much appreciated by me. I am a San Martin and other micro brand watch collector that values good reliable watches at around $250 U S dollars and up to around $350 U S dollars in average.. preferable with the dial size at 39 to 40 MM..

I like the 38-39mm version a bit better, i think the 36 is a bit to small for my preference.
Really nice Baltany. The only reason I won't buy it is due to the risk of being subjected to violence, it being mistaken for an actual Rolex. I would not appreciate that irony. Great videos 👍
I had their retro diver... Baltany are one of the better AliEx brands and their finishing is top tier. The fact they use the correct no date movements is a plus

Is it like a Rolex ? Gnnn... kind of. It's a beautiful watch in its own right and I wish there wasn't the comparison as it is NOT a Rolex Explorer and should not be thought of as one. If anything it nods towards a 1016 Explorer but straddles other variants. Buy this beauty and enjoy it purely for its own image. Does it exude class ? Yes. Does it look like it could cost more than a $1000 dollars ? Yes. (The strap clasp lets it down.)

Every Rolex homage fails because they fail to have a decrease in both size and thickness in the bracelet links.
I think I prefer the granddaddy Seiko 5. These kinds of homages seem to lack vision and inspiration. I don't know too much about the original, but here it mainly jumps out to me that the hands are poorly weighted, leading to a visually disproportional dial experience. Still, I understand that for those who strongly desire exclusively the experience of hard, impossible, or simply too expensive watches, this may be the only way to satisfy your itch. Still slightly better and more honest than an undeniable knock-off.
I like the watch,and would enjoy wearing it.

I am keeping everything crossed that Baltany produces a version with a Quartz movement for those of us who are not stuck in the 19th century...
These kinds of watches are good for trying on a classic style (explorer, sub, GMT Master, etc...) to see if it suits you in person (since the AD won't let you take one home). But when it comes down to it, only the real thing satisfies. There is no world in which these watches are "just as good" as Rolex. You cannot fake quality.

What a travesty. Homaging aka stealing design is OK. Buying them on Aliexpress. On the other side, you can find exact same straps that Artem sales for crazy money on same Aliexpress for a fraction of the price. And surely it is not mentioned. The difference from the watch homaging is just the fact that straps on Ali are originals and sellers like Artem just brand them. At the end.... just promote the brand that sponsors the video. Watching this type of promo video, I am pissed that it's interrupted with ads. Ridiculous. It's like watching Mcdonalds commercial interrupted with Toyota ads.

@@DesignAtelier Firstly,...... I really enjoy your videos, humor involved, and above all you have the best production of all reviewers. You cover different brands, It's Ok. Just this one pissed me off. I hate "homage" watches. If you can't afford a Rolex, don't fake it. It's a bit different with homages of old, more or less unknown pieces. I have Baltany 1926 which is technically a homage, but I love it for example. I own more expensive watches, but can still appreciate a cheap watch that is perfectly executed and has some originality in it. About the straps: I just hate advertising the brands like Artem which mostly just buy straps on Alibaba and pay a few cents extra to get them branded. And the price they charge for that straps is bonkers. So folks, go to the source aka Aliexpress for straps. I have loads of them and can't believe the quality you get for the money paid. I wish you all the best, looking forward to your next non homage and non overpriced straps video.
