These men are the British Army, please take 10 minutes of self research on Scottish history, they are free lol. The average person in Edinburgh and Aberdeen has more money in their bank accounts than anywhere else in the UK expect London. Scotland is part of the UK because England had no successor to the throne in 1603, the Scottish King was a cousin of the English Queen who died at the time so he was the next successor the to the throne English, so both countries were united under 1 monarchy as Great Britain in 1603, and continued to be united as one when Great Britain moved towards a parliamentary democracy as one nation called Great Britain - that did not stop Scotland being Scotland. Scotland is its own country with its own history and can't be compared towards the likes of Ireland who had a different relationship and history - one of abuse and torture.

@@rmac8378 no shizzle my guy, I never said anything about them being the Scottish army? And they are Scottish they’re just in the British army
@@battleguru1153 they’re half scottish at best. Maybe they’ll change their minds later but people of scottish national mind don’t join the british army
@@rmac8378 Who told you "people of scottish national mind don’t join the british army"? Cause it's bull, and disgraces the memories of so many brave lads who did just that, and paid with their lives.
@@scottishbombolini7794 i should’ve said most likely, but to be from Scotland and want to join the british army most likely means you’re of british national mind. How you feel after serving is a different matter. It’s not disgracing anyones memory to say they’re british
Every country should have something as soul-stirring and patriotic as the pipes and drums. Scotland was smarter and got there first. Simply awe inspiring.
I always get goosebumps when I hear "Scotland the Brave" on the bagpipes! Awesome video!
My grandfather fought with the Scots in WW1, my father stood guard duty at Edinburgh castle in WW2, they are great people to be with.
Well done Gentlemen, I would proudly walk with you from the second division hats off carry on lads
I am Spanishman and I love pipes and drums ♥️
Couple of old friends in the highlanders. If I'd known they were in Ballater I'd have shown up to show respect. I was honoured to pipe with a few of them a few times and also party lol

I have fought for my country ( US ) Please Scotland fight to be free. I am of Scottish heritage. Mostly Scot. How can you look back at your heroes and vote against freedom? Love the pipes
We will be free my friend. SAOR ALBA GU BRATH
Bravoooo!!!!!!! It is awesome! From CATALONIA!
I’m an American with English/Irish/Scottish roots. God bless Scotland! 🌾🏴 the Shetland Pony is such joy.
Wouldn't mind them marching every day in my hometown!
The Pipes and Drums march every Saturday night in the summer in Kincardine Ontario.
Q. What's worn beneath the kilt? A. Nothing is worn; it's all in pairfect working order @

My Dad served in the 6th Battalion Kings Own Scottish Borderers during WW2 and loved every minute of it, he always said you could march for miles following the pipes thats where I have got my love of Scotland, the sound of the pipes and the Scots people from. My family get woken every Christmas morning to the sound of the Argyles on CD.
Argylls just saying
@@col8713 thank you for correcting my spelling error.
I'm lost for words ,but full of admiration .Thank you
Being an ex Army Reservist in South Australia the sound of the pipes and drums always sounds fantastic. Anyone would grab a rifle and ammo and do what was needed to be done if it was :)
JUST SUPERB !! BRILLIANT !! OUTSTANDING !! YES , THE SCOTTISH REGIMENTS !! JOHN IN LONDON.
Moran Taing John.....from Scotland.
I’m a Liverpudlian with strong Scottish roots and with a family name originating in Scotland as ‘green river, sea friend’ I can’t explain it but there is something about bagpipes that touches my soul. Has to be my ancestors DNA waking up
Looking sharp and sounding amazing!!! I salute you.
Just makes me proud to see so many men after being overseas and come still back to honour our country. Not an easy road
As a dutchman i feel always a shiver down my spine when i see the Scots march like this with bagpipes and drums. Proud people.
What a splendid fellow the Pipe Major is! If I was forty years young, I'd follow him anywhere!
Drum Major.
I'm proud. SCOTLAND IS .............. so GREAT!!!!!! The peoples are very respectfuls. TX.
These are british soldiers, not scots. Scotland had no military.
I'm a cadet in canada and we had massed pipe and drum/military band at a camp and every time the whole camp marched on parade all I heard was pipes and drums. I tried so hard not to smile.
Wish I could like this video a thousand times
Well "technically" you can! Just un-click the "like" button and click it again 2k more times! :P
I am from Oberfranken in Bayern on the Top.
I Like Scotland and Scotland is in my Hart.
Dudelsack the Best Musicinstrument Ever.
I was a Drill Instuctor for the the United Sates Army for 3 years and I only could hope we could get this kind of discipline.
That's funny, because they're not called "drill instructor" in the army - that's the Marine name...Nice try, though.
The US Army has DSs not DIs and funnily enough your name is “Scott,” what a coincidence! not fooling me lad!
Drill duty was only 2 years when I was in
Some of my dreams is to visit Great Britain and see these awesome pipes and drums¡¡ you make my day sooo happy
Great timing for the wind to blow at 0:06. Just made the lead guy more epic.
What can you say except, magnificent.
..as an American Veteran..may i say ..with respect..
