It’s been my favorite band since I was a 8 years old poor boy in Brazil!! Learned how to play guitar, piano, how to speak English just because of Radiohead! Good music can take you far if you let it really touch you!
Brasil ✌️

Let Down is so beautiful here I could actually cry. My dad brought me to see them on the Kid A tour when I was fifteen it was one of the best nights of my life. Still miss you dad. Radiohead's music will always mean the world to me.

Thom’s going nuts, jonny’s Being depressed, ed’s Being happy, Phil’s rocking out, and Colin... Colin’s just being funky in the corner

Damn I really wish they'd come to NZ

Ed looks like the coolest musicians in the history of musicians, he did so many different things throughout the concert so effortlessly. It blows my mind.

I’m on team Ed. Love the little touches of genius he brings , not everyone notices though how essential he is so it’s nice that someone did. Obviously I love the whole band. And yes Colin is an amazing bassist

Well yeah dude. He was like 48 when they played this gig. That song is pretty vocally demanding.

After signing for 1 1/2 hrs, I bet as anyone would struggle.
he should use the volume button on alexa
It was beautiful. He's doing some in falsetto. The only vocal error in the whole gig is he's slightly flat on the the first verse of Nude, but he corrects that and really focuses for the rest of the song and smashes it. One of the best vocal performances I've heard from him at this gig.

The way Thom screams into his guitar at the end of Climbing Up The Walls gives me chills. What a performance, these boys are at the top of their game, and they own the fucking game. GOAT

This was my first and only Radiohead concert so far. My favorite moment had to be when the audience helped a fan in a wheelchair crowd surf to the front, where he could see. He passed right over me and my brother so we got to help. You can see him surfing very briefly during the beginning of Ful Stop.
It was one of those "hope for humanity" moments for me.
Awesome!
Best band in the world today.
By a country mile! Anybody know if Porcupine Tree are anywhere near as good in the flesh, so to speak, as they look on paper? Steven Wilson's prolificacy is almost beyond belief. Looking at him, one could easily believe that he doesn't find the time to eat or sleep. Well it interferes with music making, no doubt.
Whoa...are you me? I considered PT and Radiohead to be "twin wonders" for many years...pure brilliance out of the UK. Of course, PT has now broken up (Steven has picked up some of the slack...but I really missed Gavin's drum sound...nobody can reproduce it), so they have diminished somewhat in my mind, but I use to have a tough time choosing between the two.
The fact is, however, that Radiohead has the staying power, and have continued to perform live at levels that very few bands ever achieve. If I was stuck on a Desert Island, you can be damned sure the only band I'd be listening to would have a track called "Desert Island Disk" ;-)
Am I you?! That would probably depend on whether your favourite musicians include David Sylvian, Durutti Column (Vini Reilly), Scott Walker and Bjork! My question regarding Porcupine Tree is coming from a position of complete ignorance as I've heard virtually nothing by them and the fact that there is just so much output by them is a bit daunting, as I don't really know where to start; The title Fear of a blank planet whets my appetite though. I only became aware of PT through the Japan (band) connection. Steve Jansen, Mick Karn and Richard Barbieri played on the Sweetheart raw E.P. by No Man, who as I'm sure you know is one of Wilson's many offshoot bands.
You should definitely give PT a listen. :)
They are One of the best bands Signed to Major Record Label. The best band is one none of us have ever heard, because music talent is very rarely lucrative, and record labels work with the masses - they dont sign good bands, especially in the 21st century. But yeah, one of the best.

For the people who think Studio albums are better than live performances, you are absolutely true but they are not produced in 1 take.Moroever live performances are very important to give credits to other band member apart from the lead singer. The drummer, the person on keyboard just rocked the whole act.
And radiohead are still the best thing to happen to alternative rock in the last 2 decades.

Yes.

Aw it's cute how Thom smiles when the crowd cheers at the beginning of Let Down. He's genuinely happy that the fans are happy. It's great to see
.. ...
oh man that made me smile so hard right now
He's really warmed up over the years...compare his whole demeanor to, say, Glastonbury 1997. And they say people don't change...we can certainly still grow as human beings :-)
What now? So hes 'grown' by becoming richer happier??!! Have you been listening to Anything theyve done?!!
He's Fitter Happier
Thom is like a 1000 year old soul trapped in a 40 something's body.....
or a 100million year old soul trapped in the underworld
The transmigration of the soul...... We are all 1000 year old souls trapped in mortal bodies. Thom's music resonates with this philosophy... Where I end and you begin, lotus flower, present tense etc....
I think he is definely older soul, comming here to bring the message, WE ARE NOT ALONE!!!!on this terrible planet ☠
Lately he’s been looking way older than his actual age.
Johann smith sounds like you’re a fan of earth 😂
Burn the witch is becoming better and better :D
It's certainly a "rocker" ;l)
Agreed, it doesn't translate very well live. It's sort of like anti-King of Limbs, where all the songs sound much, much better live and have so much more energy.
Count Lieberkuhn I think it's because a lot of the songs on AMSP require an orchestra which is how they were recorded in the studio. For example, I expected songs like Present Tense, The Numbers and Identikit to sound better but they don't because that element is missing.
Yeah, they need to do something to beef it up for live so that it works in a live setting, even if it means a different 'feel' (which makes it more interesting anyway). For example, really dialing up the fuzzy bass in the mix - I think that'd make the lackluster live verse sound more punchy.
It needs the strings...
What’s truly extraordinary about this group is their ability to play their songs in a different and better way every single time!

Radiohead is so good that I can easily listen to them with full volume on my headphones 😎
Without Ed's backing vocals, no Radiohead. He makes the concert so awesome. I can't imagine how cool it would be to see Radiohead live.
Ed is the most underrated part of the band imo.
people and reviewers still calling him rhythm guitar player and think he has nothing to do on the album recordings. They have no idea what this guy achieves with his effect pedals. A big influence for me. He created sounds, where I never could have imagined that a guitar can do things like that.
ZiPolishHammer aren't they all?
Because most people don't realize what it is to be behind that pedalboard and come up with something musical (if they even know what an effects pedal is). They must believe pedals do all the hard work and he only pushes buttons... Or they all have poor sound quality headphones and speakers and can't notice the subtle nuances he and his guitar add to every song. I'm telling you this as a musician not as a fan because, to be honest, this is the first time I listen to Radiohead for more than 10 minutes. I thought Jonny Greenwood was the sound architect, and I was wrong. I mean, he's the soloist, but that doesn't make Ed the average rythm player. I like Jonny's playing though, but Ed is the guy behind the atmosphere
roger that !
Ed = Ringo Starr
This concert shows the enduring strength of Radiohead: they can be super freaking weird and still write a catchy memorable song.
It's like if age and time didn't matter at all.
Street spirit is probably one of the most hunting and sad songs I ever heard! And I just keep coming back for more.

ok, who else likes 'bloom' as much as i do??
Yeah, it sounds completely otherworldly but then I'm apparently one of the few that considers The King of limbs at least as good as any other Radiohead album.
absolutely, i love how experimental and abstract it is with so many different rhythms that add up to a beautiful masterpiece...
"otherworldly" is the perfect description, it surely is in my personal top 10! :)

1:16:05 Ed "OH!" Brien
THEY SOUND EVEN BETTER LIVE
Yeah, it's pretty much because when you think about it, they've had 15-20 years to polish up the songs! I saw Radiohead in Japan in 2003, but I'm sure 20 years of practice helps!
songOmatic This is true but don’t assume it’s easy to maintain a good work ethic and motivation as an artist to keep performing and to keep performing as well as these guys are. Most artists retire at or before the point that Radiohead is at right now, which is one of the reason’s they’re so awesome.

The musical complexity of Radiohead exceeds all formats, all genres, and Thom Yorke is unsurpassed as a modern Poet. They are messengers from another planet, giving lessons on how to express frustration, love and pain, and demonstrating how to blow people's minds with electric guitars. There is no other band in the world who can match their originality, versatility and musicianship. Just listen to this entire concert!
It's hard to name a band or artist who is as musically relevant as Radiohead. Ok lads, Where do we go from here??
You said it so well !! Thanks
they are great so fucking what
No, it doesn´t and no they are not. Songs are just short themes with eccentric lyrics for depressed and apathetic people. They know this themselves and its why they want to escape their grunge past with more weird material. Depression is not healthy you know. It is sad that world wants funeral marches and does not know anything about lavish musical history. They do. But, listen to classical music for change.
My opinion........this concert is pure genius.......needs no drugs to fly with........fucking amazing........the only other band that is comparable with uniqueness is TOOL live........always a tear jerker for me.......❤

Bloom and Pyramid Song sound so amazing live. Thom's been working hard on his dance moves as well I see. Their compositions are great, The Numbers is a good example. The lighting in this show was great as well, never really notice that sort of stuff. And Thom's smile at the beginning of Let Down was one of the most heartwarming things I've seen.
