What a nice reply to critical comments. Sometimes comments sound harsher than they are meant since many of us come from different cultures, where different things are considered rude. Sometimes the person has just a bad day. Or they are trolling. And sometimes they just want to help you out. Remember that it’s always better to know what bothers people. Because only then can you decide if it’s valid criticism and if changing it is worth it or not. That means putting up with some rude comments. Deleting some trolls is also an option. 😉 I‘m so glad, that you wrote this, because I respect people the most, that want to improve and don’t react to criticism with attacks. They are also the ones that gather a big following. You shouldn't feel bad in any way. People make mistakes and it is unfair for people to be so critical. Just because people are fans of someone does not mean they need to rush to the defense of their idol for even the smallest transgressions. It makes that community feel unwelcoming when they should be motivating. You are doing a great job and I hope the best for you.

The instrument is a Kobyz from Qazaqstan. Dimash sings in, now, 16 languages, not at the time of this performance, but his Engllish was good then. Both it and his voice have improved. His lower range is stronger now. He is a very talented young man ( will be 30 on May 24th) also a humble, kind, generous person with high standards, does not drink, smoke or use drugs or bad language. Also he never claims to be the best, is always working to improve his voice and performances and gives credit to his family and teachers. He loves his fans, called Dears, and we all love him for the everything he is. Please continue with this amazingly gifted man, you will not be disappointed.

Olzhas Qurmanbek plays the kobyz, magnificent performer! Dimash had the great idea of including this ancient Kazakh instrument in the song composed by Igor Krutoy. (Another of his successes was including a sybyzgy in the cover of "Hello" by L Richie in "I am a Singer", China). Dimash is a vocal chameleon and a very good arranger. He is born in May 24 1994. He is from Kazakhstan and has been music schooled sense 5 years old and told the teacher that the piano was out of tune! He sings about 7 octaves or so! No one knows he is still learning. He sings higher than the piano can go! He also writs and compose own songs, plays bunch of instruments including Dombra there own Kazakh instrument that has a sound you can’t believe and onley 2 strings! He also sings in about 14 (Kazakh, Turkish, Usceck, Russian, Ukranian, Serbien, Bulgarian Chinese , Italien, Spamish, French, English, German, Japanese ) languages and speaks 3 so far (Kazakh, Russian and English). Dimash has an excellent education: he graduated from the College of Music with a degree in Opera Singing, university of arts in the specialty "Estrada and jazz vocals", and on June 18, 2020, he completed a master's degree in Composition. He graduated with a degree in opera from the music school at the University of Aktobe (2014), a degree in pop/jazz from the National Arts University in Nur Sultan (2018), just completed his Master's degree in composition (June 2020) and have started his PhD. He have done some contests in his life but the one I think got the worlds intension is "The Singer" (Allso called "I am a singer" or "Singer") from China in 2017. The Singer is a program for established Chinese singers to face off against each other invites only in a competition where votes were cast by an audience of 500. Dimash Qudaibergen was a last-minute inclusion (a 'dark horse'). But his performance of 'SOS D'un Terrien En Detresse' electrified the audience, his fellow competitors and the viewers who numbered in the billions (this program was one of the most-watched in China and outside). They also got him the nickname "Imported little brother" the day after the show. They also had to get bodyguard for Dimash do to the famous over night both in China and also the world. Dimash wasn’t really prepared for that. He had come to China at 22 years young man by him self and didn’t know the language. They hade contracted him for 2 shows because they didn’t think he cold go further than that. He didn’t think they would like him. So he was nervous this performers that he had also to start the show with. But they hade to change that do to his famous over night. Dimash got many new friends from this show and he said at some point he learned a lot from it to. This song was the first of three that Igor Krutoy wrote for Dimash. This one, Stranger, is about rebirth or reincarnation into this world but still having some memories of a previous existence as a warrior. The second song (Fly Away) is about how, as a human living your earthly life, you have to choose your own path and not be swayed towards fitting in with others or following their opinions or desires even if that means setting out on your own. The third song has no words (Ave Maria, 'vocalise') and represents leaving this world and going back to spirit. Every song has a completely different genre and feel to it. Dimash will continue to surprise you. You just never know what he's going to do next. It literally could be anything, but whatever it is, you know it's going to be good. He never disappoints. Dimash composes many of his own songs but also has major composers and songwriters around the world composing and writing songs for him. His wide range and masterclass vocal prowess have a long line of composers waiting to write for him if he allows. Currently Dimash is working on a new album of his own compositions which we hoped would come out this year but with his perfectionist nature likely won't be out until next year. He is releasing a few singles here and there that will likely be in the album. Very new directions in his fusion music. He likes to put together many genres into one song and makes gorgeous music that astonishes. He is absolutely fearless in his experimentation. "Stranger" was composed by Igor Krutoy a major Russian composer and prominent music mogul (man on piano) who collaborates with Dimash. Dimash produces all of the songs he sings. Igor likes to compose spectacular neo-classical music for Dimash specifically with very complex music which Dimash adores. The harder to sing the better as it challenges him so he has great fun producing Igor's songs. An album was released with Dimash and Igor collaborations called "Dimash Kudaybergen (last name misspelled in translation) and Igor Krutoy". Dimash's first album was released in China in 2019 called "iD" which contains his greatest hits at that time and is a collection of many styles of music including his first English pop song. You might watch his performance of "Screaming" from the Idol Hits tv show in 2019. You can see Dimash the rock star in this live guest appearance in China and yes, he raps in this version. Dimash has sung a few covers mostly for the Singer competition in 2017 when he was 22 yrs old. So if you see any performances from the Singer tv show, it was a cover of a world famous song as those were the rules of the competition. Since the Singer, he has very few covers compared to the number of his original songs. He did sing one original Kazakh lovely ballad at the end concert on the Singer, Mahabbat Ber Magan (Give Me Love) and his own composition Unforgettable Day, both huge fan favorites.
I have been a Dear for 7 years and I can give you my personal comment that I kept sharing everywhere. So: Dimash is a miracle, so his absolute powerful and unshakable presence on stage, compared by some to a god of music, sometimes to a prince or king, the energy he absorbs from the Universe, then how he anchors himself to the Earth, his connection with the Divinity, all at a place, it gives him the strength and confidence to "command the audience, to order the orchestra, to order the song", so that everything comes out the way he wants and how Dimash feels, that is unique. All these qualities are only at Dimash, absolutely. The goosebumps and hypnosis induced by Dimash are the characteristics of his concerts and appearance on stage, which are shaped by his endless beauty, sometimes translucent, sometimes sensual, sometimes angelic !!! Dimash is storm, thunder, lightning, sun, rain, smile, but also love and last but not least he is our hope and our daily light, he is our spiritual food when you put your head on the pillow and start dreaming like tomorrow it's a day… !!!!! Dimash has God's kiss on his heart!!!! First, Ave Maria is a superhuman vocal exception, which takes you by surprise. Being a vocal song, a pure masterpiece, the magic of Dimash's voice is unleashed in the ether and is the fire that burns the soul and heart through love, beauty, elevation and purity. The essence of Dimash's voice as in a perfect symbiosis, and the vocal chords transport you to another dimension. Second, from my point of view, I cannot make a top ranking of Dimash's songs, the original ones, regardless of the composer (Igor, Dimash or someone else), leaving aside the covers. I come back to the idea, so I can't make a top. Why? Simple: each song by Dimash has a different theme, a different melodic line, different feelings, different tonalities. Each track is unique in lyric, interpretation, musical essence and message. If you listen to one, you like it more, if you listen to another, you like it even more, you can't decide because you can't. There are pieces with a religious touch, patriotic pieces, pieces of love, pieces of courage etc. If in an interview Dimash was asked what song he likes, I don't know what answer he would give... Almost all of them are masterpieces. It is as if Dimash is a father of dozens of children. I don't think he could tell a difference between them. Each piece has its place in time and space, it is appropriate in a certain context, event. Each song takes you on a certain journey, be it magical, be it angelic, be it love or be it a story, either sad, or happy, or fighting, or patriotic. We have to be consistent and say that all the pieces are exceptional, not one can be compared to another, because a parent loves all his children the same!!!
Most people will recommend his neoclassical songs because that's where the "money notes" are. In Be With Me and Screaming Idol Hits, he raps in Kazakh. His traditional Kazakh folk songs like Samaltau and Durdaraz are epic but he stays within a 2 octave range. Then there's also the new songs he worked on whilst he was living in Los Angeles like Omir, When I've Got You and the very latest release Smoke. Funny to see how one of you gets his name right from the beginning but the other one seems to think that an A should be pronounced as an I. 🤣

He is so awesome, isn’t he? Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m a real fan of movies that have such a mystical or oriental atmosphere. And it was such a great idea by Dimash to use the Qobyz for that. The Qobyz is a very old two stringed Kazakh folk instrument and it’s wide spread among Kazakhs. The man who often is playing the kobyz in Dimash’s performance (also here in Stranger) is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. You often can hear this instrument when Dimash sings in his native tongue like Samaltau, Qairan Elim or Òmir Òter. In the end of Stranger he introduced him to the audience and he thanked them. As a Kazakh he speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently. He sang Stranger for the first time at New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international competition for young artists, founded in 2002 by Igor Krutoy. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy, like so many other masterpieces, wrote this song specifically for Dimash and his incredible vocal range (in this song alone he sings 5 octaves F1-F6 I think). And the last note he held for 20 seconds. The way he switchs so affortlessly between the different registers and octaves in one song is so mesmerizing and unbelievable. Stranger was written by the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him.The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship. You can find it on Igor Krutoy‘s Channel. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. For some different types of songs I recommend - "When I've Got You"(MV) - "Be With Me"(MV) - "Omir" Live Performance(ft. His little brother Mansur on guitar) - "Samaltau" from the Tokyo Jazz Festival(Kazakh folk song) - "Dudarai"(Also a Kazakh folk song, but with a twist) All of these are either his original songs that he was heavily involved in(mainly as composer), or his own arrangement in the case of "Dudarai" ("Samaltau" was arranged for him by his good friend Erlan Bekchurin though, who's also the sound producer for his concerts) . "Omir" was both written and composed by Dimash.
This Stranger music was written by the very famous Igor Krutoy & the lyrics were written by Sharon Vaughn a Swedish lady that moved to America to be closer to the people she writes song for in Nashville Tennessee. At the beginning of this song this was in the opening of the performance where the subtitles were. Igor Krutoy is very famous in Russia & other countries. Igor Krutoy was playing the piano to the piece the piano of music he wrote especially for Dimash & Dimash’s talents. If you would have watched the performance of Dimash singing Sinful Passion with English subtitles, you would have seen Igor Krutoy standing at the end of the performance applauding. It was his first time hearing Dimash sing. At the end of the performance Igor Krutoy came out of retirement to work with Dimash. He has written several wonderful songs since. When you see a performance that Igor Krutoy is playing piano for Dimash you know it is one they have collaborated together, or he wrote whole song for Dimash. Look up Igor Krutoy he is a very interesting person.

Sometimes comments sound harsher than they are meant since many of us come from different cultures, where different things are considered rude. Sometimes the person has just a bad day. Or they are trolling. And sometimes they just want to help you out.
Remember that it’s always better to know what bothers people. Because only then can you decide if it’s valid criticism and if changing it is worth it or not. That means putting up with some rude comments. Deleting some trolls is also an option. 😉

Dimash sings in, now, 16 languages, not at the time of this performance, but his Engllish was good then. Both it and his voice have improved. His lower range is stronger now.
He is a very talented young man ( will be 30 on May 24th) also a humble, kind, generous person with high standards, does not drink, smoke or use drugs or bad language. Also he never claims to be the best, is always working to improve his voice and performances and gives credit to his family and teachers. He loves his fans, called Dears, and we all love him for the everything he is.

It's so fun for us "Dears" (that’s what Dimash calls his fans because he loves us as a dear family) to see how people react to him.
Some info about Dimash. He is born in May 24 1994. He is from Kazakhstan and has been music schooled sense 5 years old and told the teacher that the piano was out of tune! He sings about 7 octaves or so! No one knows he is still learning. He sings higher than the piano can go! He also writs and compose own songs, plays bunch of instruments including Dombra there own Kazakh instrument that has a sound you can’t believe and onley 2 strings! He also sings in about 14 (Kazakh, Turkish, Usceck, Russian, Ukranian, Serbien, Bulgarian Chinese , Italien, Spamish, French, English, German, Japanese ) languages and speaks 3 so far (Kazakh, Russian and English).
Dimash has an excellent education: he graduated from the College of Music with a degree in Opera Singing, university of arts in the specialty "Estrada and jazz vocals", and on June 18, 2020, he completed a master's degree in Composition. He graduated with a degree in opera from the music school at the University of Aktobe (2014), a degree in pop/jazz from the National Arts University in Nur Sultan (2018), just completed his Master's degree in composition (June 2020) and have started his PhD.
He have done some contests in his life but the one I think got the worlds intension is "The Singer" (Allso called "I am a singer" or "Singer") from China in 2017. The Singer is a program for established Chinese singers to face off against each other invites only in a competition where votes were cast by an audience of 500.
Dimash Qudaibergen was a last-minute inclusion (a 'dark horse'). But his performance of 'SOS D'un Terrien En Detresse' electrified the audience, his fellow competitors and the viewers who numbered in the billions (this program was one of the most-watched in China and outside).
They also got him the nickname "Imported little brother" the day after the show. They also had to get bodyguard for Dimash do to the famous over night both in China and also the world. Dimash wasn’t really prepared for that. He had come to China at 22 years young man by him self and didn’t know the language. They hade contracted him for 2 shows because they didn’t think he cold go further than that. He didn’t think they would like him. So he was nervous this performers that he had also to start the show with. But they hade to change that do to his famous over night.
Dimash got many new friends from this show and he said at some point he learned a lot from it to.

Gloria Wu's channel has the back-story about the song that is so sad and from a life story about a boy losing his parents in an awful way. Also you get to hear how Dimash sounds like then loosing his voice the day of the show!!! When he went on he didn’t know if he could sing. If I remember correct he wrote the music to this one when he was 19 years old and lyrics by Oral-kosai Baisengir, who was a poet/lyricist father of a friend of Dimash. Also in this show another contestant "Terry Lin" that was about 51 years young here he considered Dimash a dear friend at this point. But Dimash started telling them al he was his father around episode 9 I think!! That is a big respect and love from his part of the world to call him! Terry was gladly accepting it. They are still that close and also invites each other to there concerts and sometimes singing this song in duet to. They sang it in Jackie Chang movie festival in 2019 and Jackie was choked in how good they were. Terry was known as an alien before Dimash and they have similar vocals to.

This song was the first of three that Igor Krutoy wrote for Dimash. This one, Stranger, is about rebirth or reincarnation into this world but still having some memories of a previous existence as a warrior. The second song (Fly Away) is about how, as a human living your earthly life, you have to choose your own path and not be swayed towards fitting in with others or following their opinions or desires even if that means setting out on your own. The third song has no words (Ave Maria, 'vocalise') and represents leaving this world and going back to spirit. Every song has a completely different genre and feel to it. Dimash will continue to surprise you. You just never know what he's going to do next. It literally could be anything, but whatever it is, you know it's going to be good. He never disappoints.

Dimash composes many of his own songs but also has major composers and songwriters around the world composing and writing songs for him. His wide range and masterclass vocal prowess have a long line of composers waiting to write for him if he allows. Currently Dimash is working on a new album of his own compositions which we hoped would come out this year but with his perfectionist nature likely won't be out until next year. He is releasing a few singles here and there that will likely be in the album. Very new directions in his fusion music. He likes to put together many genres into one song and makes gorgeous music that astonishes. He is absolutely fearless in his experimentation.
"Stranger" was composed by Igor Krutoy a major Russian composer and prominent music mogul (man on piano) who collaborates with Dimash. Dimash produces all of the songs he sings. Igor likes to compose spectacular neo-classical music for Dimash specifically with very complex music which Dimash adores. The harder to sing the better as it challenges him so he has great fun producing Igor's songs. An album was released with Dimash and Igor collaborations called "Dimash Kudaybergen (last name misspelled in translation) and Igor Krutoy".
Dimash's first album was released in China in 2019 called "iD" which contains his greatest hits at that time and is a collection of many styles of music including his first English pop song. You might watch his performance of "Screaming" from the Idol Hits tv show in 2019. You can see Dimash the rock star in this live guest appearance in China and yes, he raps in this version.
Dimash has sung a few covers mostly for the Singer competition in 2017 when he was 22 yrs old. So if you see any performances from the Singer tv show, it was a cover of a world famous song as those were the rules of the competition. Since the Singer, he has very few covers compared to the number of his original songs. I have been a Dear for 7 years and I can give you my personal comment that I kept sharing everywhere. So: Dimash is a miracle, so his absolute powerful and unshakable presence on stage, compared by some to a god of music, sometimes to a prince or king, the energy he absorbs from the Universe, then how he anchors himself to the Earth, his connection with the Divinity, all at a place, it gives him the strength and confidence to "command the audience, to order the orchestra, to order the song", so that everything comes out the way he wants and how Dimash feels, that is unique. All these qualities are only at Dimash, absolutely. The goosebumps and hypnosis induced by Dimash are the characteristics of his concerts and appearance on stage, which are shaped by his endless beauty, sometimes translucent, sometimes sensual, sometimes angelic !!! Dimash is storm, thunder, lightning, sun, rain, smile, but also love and last but not least he is our hope and our daily light, he is our spiritual food when you put your head on the pillow and start dreaming like tomorrow it's a day… !!!!! Dimash has God's kiss on his heart!!!! First, Ave Maria is a superhuman vocal exception, which takes you by surprise. Being a vocal song, a pure masterpiece, the magic of Dimash's voice is unleashed in the ether and is the fire that burns the soul and heart through love, beauty, elevation and purity. The essence of Dimash's voice as in a perfect symbiosis, and the vocal chords transport you to another dimension. Second, from my point of view, I cannot make a top ranking of Dimash's songs, the original ones, regardless of the composer (Igor, Dimash or someone else), leaving aside the covers. I come back to the idea, so I can't make a top. Why? Simple: each song by Dimash has a different theme, a different melodic line, different feelings, different tonalities. Each track is unique in lyric, interpretation, musical essence and message. If you listen to one, you like it more, if you listen to another, you like it even more, you can't decide because you can't. There are pieces with a religious touch, patriotic pieces, pieces of love, pieces of courage etc. If in an interview Dimash was asked what song he likes, I don't know what answer he would give... Almost all of them are masterpieces. It is as if Dimash is a father of dozens of children. I don't think he could tell a difference between them. Each piece has its place in time and space, it is appropriate in a certain context, event. Each song takes you on a certain journey, be it magical, be it angelic, be it love or be it a story, either sad, or happy, or fighting, or patriotic. We have to be consistent and say that all the pieces are exceptional, not one can be compared to another, because a parent loves all his children the same!!!
Most people will recommend his neoclassical songs because that's where the "money notes" are.
In Be With Me and Screaming Idol Hits, he raps in Kazakh.
His traditional Kazakh folk songs like Samaltau and Durdaraz are epic but he stays within a 2 octave range.
Then there's also the new songs he worked on whilst he was living in Los Angeles like Omir, When I've Got You and the very latest release Smoke.
Funny to see how one of you gets his name right from the beginning but the other one seems to think that an A should be pronounced as an I. 🤣

He is a strong believer in hiring the best of everything to produce as perfect a final product as possible but he always contributes or directs. He does not do well being told what to do.😂😂😂🤭

He is so awesome, isn’t he? Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m a real fan of movies that have such a mystical or oriental atmosphere. And it was such a great idea by Dimash to use the Qobyz for that.
The Qobyz is a very old two stringed Kazakh folk instrument and it’s wide spread among Kazakhs. The man who often is playing the kobyz in Dimash’s performance (also here in Stranger) is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. You often can hear this instrument when Dimash sings in his native tongue like Samaltau, Qairan Elim or Òmir Òter. In the end of Stranger he introduced him to the audience and he thanked them.
As a Kazakh he speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently. He sang Stranger for the first time at New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international competition for young artists, founded in 2002 by Igor Krutoy. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy, like so many other masterpieces, wrote this song specifically for Dimash and his incredible vocal range (in this song alone he sings 5 octaves F1-F6 I think). And the last note he held for 20 seconds. The way he switchs so affortlessly between the different registers and octaves in one song is so mesmerizing and unbelievable.
Stranger was written by the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him.The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship.
He wrote this song and others especially for Dimash’s wide vocal range.

Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating.
This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯

All of these are either his original songs that he was heavily involved in(mainly as composer), or his own arrangement in the case of "Dudarai"
("Samaltau" was arranged for him by his good friend Erlan Bekchurin though, who's also the sound producer for his concerts) .
"Omir" was both written and composed by Dimash.
Dimash composed many songs.

This Stranger music was written by the very famous Igor Krutoy & the lyrics were written by Sharon Vaughn a Swedish lady that moved to America to be closer to the people she writes song for in Nashville Tennessee. At the beginning of this song this was in the opening of the performance where the subtitles were. Igor Krutoy is very famous in Russia & other countries. Igor Krutoy was playing the piano to the piece the piano of music he wrote especially for Dimash & Dimash’s talents. If you would have watched the performance of Dimash singing Sinful Passion with English subtitles, you would have seen Igor Krutoy standing at the end of the performance applauding. It was his first time hearing Dimash sing. At the end of the performance Igor Krutoy came out of retirement to work with Dimash. He has written several wonderful songs since. When you see a performance that Igor Krutoy is playing piano for Dimash you know it is one they have collaborated together, or he wrote whole song for Dimash. Look up Igor Krutoy he is a very interesting person.

There's a quarter tone stop at 6:23 that foreshadows the quarter tones he sings at 9:14. Truly masterful.
