Never knew Seth Mc Farlane played airsoft when he was younger
Just Ipko ya I love this guy’s videos but Family Guy is the best one he makes
I think we all recognize the thoughts in this video - didn't we all bought (spare) gear we didn't need browsing in the night at websites?
Pro tip.....do not order custom badges on Amazon after five Rye&cokes....😣
Biggest mistake being new and getting into airsoft is buying sniper rifle.
I almost bought a bolt action sniper for my first, coz it was a hella good deal, but I decided on a cyma m14 , it was a close call
I realize I am kind of off topic but does anybody know a good site to watch new series online ?
@Clay Jesiah flixportal :P
@Samuel Neil thank you, I went there and it seems like a nice service =) I appreciate it !!
@Clay Jesiah you are welcome :)
A stock Krytac isn't bad at all though.
You're right crytek kun's aren't bad even stuck I wish I had one
Keep it lubed and it will last you a long time. Also for you avalon fanboys out there, same can be said about that gun.
i was like the opposite... i tricked out a krytac spr while still having a cross draw vest
My gear is M81 Woodland BDUs and an ALICE harness from the 80s. My guns added up are 900 dollars while my gear is around 80ish dollars added up.
Ahhh bro I’m in NYC most New Yorkers don’t understand combat sports.
I seriously don't understand why you don't have more subscribers. I love the videos, keep em coming
Javelin is now APS. Re-brand. Still have my old Javelin AK, and I still love it! lol
One of the most underrated airsoft channels 💯
#1 thing to spend money on in airsoft is gucci Eye pro, KEEP THAT SHIT FROM FOGGING
#2 is a solid gun that reaches consistently and in a somewhat type grouping 150 to 200 ft if your outdoor, or alternatively for cqb a gun with good trigger response.
#3 is Good bbs, and heavyweights in particular for outdoor and distance style play. \
But! I've found so far for me that if it doesn't serve a purpose or can be achieved lighter and faster in another way than IT STAYS OFF MY KIT! Seriously people love to load up on crap that they don't need for smaller games and skirmishes alllllll the time. The same goes for my gun Mock suppressor keeps my inner barrel clean, forward grip allows me to pull the gun into my shoulder other than that its a dot sight and that's it. also right now I'm running with just a war belt. Most egregious of all is the plate carrier.
I wear Condor and Emerson Gear and I have a stupid amount of guns and I get bullied about all my "low quality" gear.
"Yeah, but I bet my gun shoots farther than yours" will shut them right up.
Balance bud. As you get the guns where you want them, transfer funds to gear. Only saying that if you want to get better gear, not that you have to. I appreciate quality gear though for myself. Everything fits better and lasts longer. Do you though man!
I get this all to well I get my gear from like army surplus a store's they carry like Voodoo Tactical and Condor but I tell people and they are like "army surplus?" With like snarky tones. But its cheap and works sometimes better than high end
Yes
I love my condor stuff most of it I would put up against 5.11 and crye, for way less money. But no one says anything about it because my m4 out performs theirs in most cases.
10 years? So you've been playing airsoft since 5?
I think he's probably around 20 years old so he's been playing since about 10 years old, but I see your joke there.
i was playing with an airsoft gun when i was four.
@@redfishbluefish8906 lol my daughters one n a half n has been firing my aeg I'ma get her ready for airsoft for when she's about 14 to wreck havoc on aw the lil boy soldiers out there 😂😂
I feel you. I also find myself spending money on gear, sometimes instead of fixing a gun. Something else, I'll buy duplicates of the same thing in a different color even though I don't need to. For instance, I bought a belt setup and pouches in multicam when I had the same setup already in coyote.
I'm not at that point yet, my love of Coyote has probably saved me from that because it goes good with everything
I have a £20 Amazon plate carrier and some British army surplus trousers and UBAC and a boonie hat and it works perfectly for me.
Great video. I think buying Gucci kit is a very easy trap to fall into, “performance is more important than aesthetics” is spot on.
I just run a ww2 german impression with ww2 german airsoft guns. Mp40,stg44, luger. Im tired of everyone trying to look the same. So i went with something completely different.
and you went for nazi xD
For equipment after you have good eye pro and ammunitoon, you only need a plate carier or chest rig and a backpack. You need somewhere to store your extra ammo, water, and gas and you want to carry all of that on your person. You also need easy access to your mags. If you dont have easy access to your mags, you're in trouble because it takes that much longer to reload. If you have a hi cap, you probabaly only need 2 or 3 and you can just tape 2 togeather. I run an aks74u with jungle taped hi caps since im just starting out. I spent all my money where it counts. I may be a walking morraca but as i said im just starting. As for buying a new gun or upgrading, i prefer to upgrade. I wont do anything too crazy. Barrel assembly, shims, aoe, air seal, motor, deans, and mosfet. That makes your gun as good as your milsim players krytac one you have all of them. Thats where your money should be going. You can also put the money twords better guns or fixing guns that broke on you after a many years of service. Its more important than larping as a soldier or fbi agent.
I haven't played yet but I already have eyepro and teeth pro. I'll be getting the Krytac Alpha CRB as it's more affordable but easily upgradeable.
If you run an airsoft ak and use hicaps, just jungle tape 2 of them and thats plenty of ammo. Its around 1200 rounds. M4's will need a chest rig. For your side arm just carry a holster 4 mags, gas, and a speed loader. For eye pro,id try to go cheap but make sure its still ansi rated and doesn't fog. Then save your money fir that fancy krytac or upgrade your gun into a monster. When you move to mid caps or do milsim, get a chest rig
"I live in an anti-gun area" do you happen to live in california?
New York, almost as bad
California is bad .... but we atleast have the ability to go out into the desert and shoot uninterrupted 🤷🏻♂️
@@OcAirsoft only in southern California. I live in the sacramento area. I do have a range in a near by city but why not also shoot a real fire arm just for the hell of it. Im just questioning weather is taking a sniper rifle to the park is fine. Id have the orange tip on or wrap orange duct tape around the muzzle.
"Young and Female Airsofters". My daughter got a lot of awkward looks when she first started airsofting. One for being female and also for being only 13. No one really wanted her on their team because they thought she would be bad at airsoft. I ran her through drills and scenarios as best I could before her first game and she actually out performed allot of the guys on her first game. It kind of sucks that she was rejected and discriminated just cause she was young and female.
I'm beyond unqualified to talk about this sort of thing, but I've seen things like this happen too with female players looking into the sport regardless of age. If she still plays I'd check out the Women of Airsoft group; they're a great collection of people who would be ale to help way more then I ever could
Alvaro Hernandez that's sad, just because she's young and female doesn't mean she's a bad airsoft player.
Wait do people actually care who is on their team? Where i'm from the airsoft culture seems to be a helluva lot different.
Serious question: cant you shoot airsoft in your house? I do it no problem. Just need a good backstop that gonna catch the bbs. I makeshifted one out of an empty beer case, some foam and some fabric, and then put a peice of cardbord with some targets in front. Sure i cant shoot just anywhere, but this allows me to tranin basically anything that is stationary. If you habe two of backstops you can even do target transition drills.
do a video about breaking the ice as a noob with the airsoft vets.
a little about getting into it as an adult, and not looking like a total gorby. (sorry, you'll have to urban dictionary that one. it's a Canuckistani thing..)
Consider putting a privacy screen on your fence. Cheap and affective.
Thx warrior.... Your knowledge is very important to me
Yea, for about 1 year I bought historical gear, then I spent money on shirts, pants, I have 5 chest rigs, 3 boots and only 3 guns, I have made an oath to now only buy guns, gun attachments, and mags from now out for a while
"chairsofter" lol
New sub, I've watched a few and I like you, between you and AS wi Jonathan you guys really help give plenty of info and views out. I've started airsoft this year and I like to hear what the mistakes are over what to do.
here is a good bases to start for new players... don't waste money on overpriced shit put it where it counts your guns eye pro and even face pro - I've got a mask and mesh goggles and mask and I prefer the mesh I can breath better than in my mask but I can see my mask coming out in the winter tbh or if I'm outdoors (mostly cqb weekdays as outdoors is on at the weekends when I have my kids) but I could have saved £40 and just had the mesh for what £18 and had a new spring, motor and inner barrel for my gun for just a little bit more than the 40 I spent on the mask (ok yeah I can afford it but that's besides the point it's been a waste because like you say I've not used it in 3 ++ months) so if new players read this after watching listen to this guy he's right don't waste money on cool shit unless it's a highly recommend gun that lasts and you don't need a straight out the box 400+fps gun especially if you might not get outdoors with it here in the uk we are limited to 330fps indoors (cqb) so if that's where you'll get to play the most don't piss your money away on a hot gun. 👌👍✌
I agree so much with your views on gear. I've been down that swamp, buying all kinds stuff, and using 1/3 of it. Doing impressionistic shit just for looks. Nowadays I still rock name brand stuff, but only in quantities that I can use it all.
Gear is still fun, but I tend to be more cautious with spending on stuff I'm not sure if I can find a use for. I tend to want to find about 2-3 other uses for the item before purchasing. Same with guns, streamlining my gun inventory so that I only have a set number of guns that I actually use and therefore get better with. Less truly is more, and more fun!
I watched a lot of youtube vids before starting and used millitary background to make the decitions on what gear i need and should get. Uniforms with milspec is a good investment because it tend to last way longer then airsoft specced uniforms. Never got a platecarrier because a chestrig is more comfortable and lightweight, milspec again for durability reasons. No need to run a platecarrier with a ton of junk you dont need, unless you want to look like your fav SF unit. BUT try it out before investing in a ton of equipment, if you do not play often and do not go all out on the field there is no need for milspec equipment imho unless you have the money to throw at it.
Go lightweight, no need for 6 mags on your body etc for skirmishes. Helmets is just extra weight to drag around as well, sidearm is not needed unless you are support gunner or a sniper that have safety ranges to concider. Milsim events going over several days is a different story.
Get a good gun, saves you time and money in the long run upgrading and fixing crap that breaks down. Get some good gloves, And NEVER skimp out on eyepro. Try it out before buying all the gear and go light, play safe and have fun. It is not real war.
Using a 22,- euro (25usd?) plate carrier from aliexpress, it even included 3 mags pouches and a molle bag. BDU camo. Worked great. Also got single point sling (5,-) and camelback (7.-) from there. Its the same stuff as in the airsoft stores (real steel is banned here, so can't compare as much). Put the rest in the ASG Scorpion evo and it runs great at a downgraded 350-360fps.
Fantastic video bud. As a new player, I went with the ebay/amazon Chinese BDUs and gear. Bought a G&G CM16 SRL which was, at CDN$310 +tx, a perfect entry level AEG for me.
I have a mostly stock VFC SCAR H, the only thing I did was put a Krytac motor in it.
biggest 2 mistakes ive made. spending too much money on shit like flashlights, lazers, suppressors and random junk i didnt need my second was trying to do tech work myself. i have fixed many of my own guns many times and made them better but it only takes 1 fuck up to have to replace a gun
why would you replace a gun when you can most likely fix the problem and only spend like $10...
dmart63 no I brought it to the shop and it ended up being 150 bucks not 10
The Sexual
$150? Wtf did you break lol
dmart63 lol motor needed to be replaced as well as new wiring plus labor cost
Yes I’m a victim of this, I’ve spent close to 2,000 dollars on over all gear and guns. I spent maybe 1/3 of that on my airsoft guns and upgrades.
I have 3 Lancer Tactical M4s that I have the option to choose from and can allow friends/family to join me if they ever wanted to go and not have to rent. I also have 3 full loadouts, 2 for outside combat and 1 for inside close quarters and also mix matching those as well.
But I’m all about looking the part (of course looking cool) and having proper gear that keeps me protected. I’m very much so a impulse buyer and won’t be satisfied until I’m fully satisfied with my equipment/gear.
“I can’t control my desires” Mac Dre
*Looks over at real eotech mounted on $1000 rifle* *Puts on jeans and plate carrier to play Airsoft*. I think we are polar opposites 🙃 I've definitely spent too much on guns and not enough on gear because for me I rarely wear the gear but I plink in my backyard all the time. I like running my gbbr because I honestly fire more shots in the yard than on the field and gas guns are more fun to plink with 😉
On to my biggest mistake... I'd have to say buying crap eye protection for years. I currently have a save phace mask which fits my glasses nicely but with all the money I've dumped into my gun I could easily have a nice set of goggles + custom lower mesh that allows me to actually fit my face behind my 3x magnifier and other scopes.
I had the same mistake, it took me until last year to finally up my goggle game
I'm the opposite, I look like a Wish operator, but I can scratch a fleas ass with a bb at 200ft
Before I say what I am going to say and I know a lot of you guys will probably say I'm wrong but it's my opinion that I have from experience. Anyway my first gun was a cyma m4 and it was a really good starting gun. Before you start complaining let me explain why. First the price it cost me £80 so as a first gun that is very good price. Secondly the accuracy isn't that bad out of the box compared to some of the more expensive makes that have the similar accuracy but costs £100 more. In conclusion the cyma is brilliant as a good value for money gun especially if your starting out
Hey Man!! I really enjoyed the video! Keep up the work! I understand how you feel not being able to shoot at targets outside because I as well live in New York State but I love closer to Buffalo so I mean it isn't as bad but I've gotten stopped by police before to go to my local field to play. Keep up the great work man! I'll keep watching as long as you keep posting :)
Syracuse is a pretty bad place for airsoft considering we don't have any fields; I own the only airsoft store in the entire county. Thanks for the support!
The BB Warrior No Problem Man And you own a store? I'll have to come visit you sometime!
I don't have a storefront at the moment, just a online store. Search "The Airsoft Armory" on Facebook to find us!
The BB Warrior I will right now! Keep up with the great work!
Buying Walmart and academy guns, you can never sell them.
Yubetcha what about dicks guns?
same thing
Rock brand name gear (Crye, Spiritus, Ferro Concepts, Patagonia, etc.) but only buy what you're gonna use, then sink the rest into your gun. That's how I do it.
I really like some of your thoughts but you should add some gameplay / content related footage. And lower contrast cause those whites are screen burners :)
I would disagree with you about the Emerson plate carrier, I carry a lot of weight, and something that's been made cheaply and to a low standard Is not suitable for anymore than 20 pounds. With weighted training ESAPI plates in one my back and shoulders would be killing me. I play at least every other weekend during the summer, so replica gear might not last very long.
Sold a lot of kit. Been using Emerson gear with 0 issues like not rips nothing
Is evike a good sight to buy from
Please discuss all the abbreviations ,I'm new to the sport( I'm 60) Hop up ,bucking, hpa, ...etc.... This would be helpful,as for I don't know nothing... Cause of your channel I bought a Krytac crb.... I hope you think it was good choice.... I do like it' a lot ....need help on my next selection...
Krytac was an excellent choice! The hop up is essentially the "chamber" of the airsoft gun; you can see it when you pull back the charging handle or by looking inside of the magwell. What "hop up" is, in a nutshell there's a small piece that the BB hits when the gun fires that puts a backspin on the BB, allowing it to arc upwards rather than going down towards the ground like a real bullet would. HPA is a gun that runs off of High Pressure Air, like a paintball gun. Instead of gears and pistons firing the gun; a small solenoid does all the work which is really consistent and quiet
I went the opposite way - loads of Replicas, not much gear. I am going the other way now.
I wear eye pro and a bandana and a t shirt it hurts when we get shot cuz all our guns are hot... everyone calls their hits😂 there's no denying it
I'm in Binghamton. haven't gotten into the sport yet just need to save up a bit more but it'll be well worth it. I've been looking at fields and I'm thinking about going to EMR in PA the most it looks like a fun/professional place. if you have a couple of suggested fields let me know! maybe I'll see you out there. I'll be the guy with MAYFLOWER gear as well as an umbrella armory krytac lol
EMR looks so cool, I've been dying to try it out. Hudson Valley Airsoft is a pretty cool indoor field but it's a hell of a drive even from binghamton
Great video. Awesome wisdom.
Alot of my money goes to guns and maybe 1/4 of that goes to gear *cough cough Army surplus* but I think that's my problem is I buy guns but have them and not use them much but I'm overall happy with what I have.
You should buy the elite force 1911 a1 I've had mine sense 2014 and lubricate it every once in awhile and it works great but I've got and extended mag on it and it shoots fine
I've considered it, KWC really does make a good product for EF but I'm just not a huge 1911 fan
chairsoft is life!
Great advice!
When i dress up fir cqb, i dress up like a stereotypical gangster except im white. No offense to black people. I just up in a hoodie beanie, $ neclace and i use badguy guns like the umerex g18c and a golden eagle sawed off although its hpa'd. Green gas indoors if fine but the sawed off doesnt hold enough gas for my likings. For an aeg, i use a cyma ak74u that i had downgraded and its real wood. Just some examples. The adavntage is its cheap. Yes i use a chest rig so i can carry extra mags.
Makes perfect sense
I thought for sure it was gonna be about not trying out your stuff before going to like MilSim West. I’m going to MSW on Dec17 for the first time after signing up and not knowing what it was all about. And I’m going alone. Hahaha!
What team?
I signed up for NATO is all I know so far. I haven’t heard anything from the “cadre” or whoever is in charge. Are you going? I have a DMR that I hope to be able to use, along with some TaGinn grenades and a pistol TaGinn grenade launcher. I’m ready to go and I have everything, grew up in the woods, Eagle Scout, so I can hack it.. I just don’t know what to expect.
I’ll be on Nato. If you can learn how to pack and carry your ruck you’ll be ahead of the curve. That’s where a lot of people suffer. The MSW GI group on Facebook is also very helpful
I feel you bro lol I do the opposite man I live down south
Man trousers are real world cost me three euros in second hand shop thrift shop in the state's,got another pair for five euros, tactical shirts that I wear are Chinese knock offs twenty euros,I wish I was always as thrifty,I have a load of kit I don't need at least I can kit out my friends if they want to come,I'm not bothered by camp anymore ditched my helmet as well. Save Ur money buy nice sneakers.
Worst buys: Modelworks m40a3 stock for vsr; too heavy and very impractical for airsoft. Cheaping out on eye-pro. I said fuck it and bought a dye i4.
Im also in upstate NY and ik exactly what you mean. Not to mention i only have one field less than an hour away lol
### 315.. I got the cyma ak47. No gear yet
I thought the number one rule was don't take off eye pro
I stand in my front yard in full view of the elementary school across the street and shoot my bow and airsoft even a airgun from time to time. no one blinks an eye. and I'm in Ca.
Honestly make a monster gun and just where a old hoodie
I'm gonna buy a ssg24 what you think? Your opinion is valuable to me
I'm not a fan of sniping, especially when it comes to newer players. They are built very well, however building a nice DMR would be what I would prefer personally. They are very well built though.
Its your staryotypical "Milsimer" that we can thank for all those people that feel preshured into buying expensive gear. Because to tons of Milsim players its all about looks. I left the whole Milsim thing because everytime I want out to a local "OP", all I saw where people interested in making fun of low end gear, and talking those same players just talking themselves up, when in reality they where quite awful players. Its like a little jerk off party, just talken them selves up. Now there is a totally different section and that is the impersonators. And I think thats really cool when they get a kit together that replicates foreign military gear. Its just cool to me, and that shows more of uts hobby side. Same with the whole Teching thing, its a hobby to me. And working on guns if fun. Airsoft becomes pethetic when people that dont spend money on their guns wine and complain because they dont have good guns. Why are you wearing CRYE gear when you have a stock G&G Combat Machine. Spend your money where it counts, not to where people will think you look cool. It honestly reminds me of damn high school, people just trying to fit in to the masses. Grow up and learn how to have fun playing the game of airsoft, find people to play with that dont dog you for having a single peice of Condor gear.
staryotypical preshured
na man, i need them gucci crye pants.
Whattttttt youre from upstate??? Where do you play. Syracuse here
I live in Camillus. I typically head to Rochester or Scranton to play
I saw this video too late 😂😅😭
BB Warrior, I've noticed that you say "looking cool is the #1 rule" and "excuse me" when you correct yourself a lot in your videos, and in addition to that you talk about your Crye Precision gear a lot. Would you happen to be a frequent viewer of Garand Thumb here on RUclips?
I used to watch his content fairly regularly, however ever since he's switched over to more Firearm content rather than kit based content I've been watching it less because everything he reviews is illegal in my state (New York). Saying "excuse me" when I correct myself has been apart of my vocabulary for awhile, just a coincidence that we both say it.
Gotcha, thanks for the quick response. :)
very nice videos!
Great video and really good advice. I've been playing Airsoft for over 5 years now. I always go cheap on gear and rock a laser beam 😁😁 make fun of me all you want till I blast you from across the field lol. You should make a trip up to Massachusetts to pew with us Swamp Yankees. 😎
I'd love to hit up Ground Zero one of these days
I’ll admit I’m guilty of this as well. Spent like $250 on some kinda meh gear. But now I want a russian kit lmao
Where in ny, I’m in Elmira
+Baxter Outdoors 98 Syracuse. I've heard there's a field in Elmira; is there any truth to that?
Wearing a plate carrier is never useless, also you're playing pretend..
My kit is for both real steel shooting and Airsoft so I run a more or less ranger style loadout with a set of real LV4 plates.
Nobody cares, little kid.
xXSgtWolfXx funny how you assume I'm little.
Sry Gregor Clegane
when you're at the gun range and that weirdo next to you is wearing a condor plate carrier he bought a gun show for $200 because the guy told him it was "that real Gucci Crye LBT tactical vest".
Condor!
We're do u live in upstate new your, I live in Saratoga county
Onondaga county
I had a javelin won't do that again
I'm glad someone else understands my pain
Was my biggest mistake in airsoft
Wait you live in Upstate New York where in Upstate New York we may have to play sometime
I live pretty close to Syracuse
i somewhat regret falling into the ptw money pit..............i own two now.
Press "F" to pay respect to your wallet.
F
F
How far upstate are you? Still south of Albany?
West, I live in Syracuse
Actual upstate, nice. Where do you play in and around Syracuse?
I head out to River City Airsoft in Rochester mostly. There really isn't a airsoft scene here, there's a lot in WNY, and fields in Binghamton, Watertown and Albany, but nothing around Cuse.
Thank you for the info. I grew up in one the green patches south east of you near Norwich. Still have buddies in the area I just got into airsoft so I was hoping to find them something. How is the scene in Binghamton?
I think just one field and one store, but there's some stuff like 30-60 minutes south of the NY/PA border going down 81
I play twice every week
DropTheBat i wish. Once summers over i play like once every two weeks
Getting out of airsoft
Lane Hodges Why's that?
The BB Warrior no getting out of airsoft was my biggest mistake in airsoft sorry for the confusion
lol
You were the mistake. JK ur great
Just curious. Are you pro-gun?
Yes
The BB Warrior cool.
I will pay 200 for a pair of pants, they last longer, they feel better and they dont break ok you that easily also it looks cool. But will I get more than one? No.
You've been playing for 10 years and look about 25 soooooo that would mean you started at 15yr old .......Soooo when you say "your" money. Show parents some respect @_@.
Saitoe Duarte at 15 i was working for my own money.
Plz donate me one cheap gun pleasebecause I only have this spring pistol that I bought for 20€Btw nice video
