If anybody is wondering multicam black or just black is typically used in maritime environments. Such as raiding ships or fighting while on the water. You can see some US SEALs and Canadian NTOGs using it. It goes really well with a tan/brown vest. Which makes you look like a badass modern tactical pirate.

    • @officialtansei
      @officialtansei Год назад +5

Its the least used color in any fighting force. Black is very visible under nods, wheres camo/color patterns are better in general. Black/green is used for police force often because they dont fight enemies with nvg capablity. Ship raiders using black is simply low tier units, cansofcom uses multicam even with navy ops.

Technically the “ACU” pattern is actually named the Universal Camouflage Pattern or “UCP.” ACU stands for “Army Combat Uniform” the uniform that replaced our BDUs or “Battle Dress Uniform.” UCP was just the first (atrocious) cammo pattern that the ACU was made in so everyone calls it that. We still wear ACUs they’re just now in the OCP or “Operational Camouflage Pattern” aka Scorpion which is basically the US Army’s knock off of Multicam because they didn’t want to pay Crye Precision’s licensing fee. The OCP pattern is not a "knock off" of Multicam, it is actually a developmental pattern jointly developed by the US Army and Crye Precision originally known as Scorpion W-2 and is owned by the Army.
Crye took the pattern, tweaked it, patented it, and sells it as Multicam now. So technically Multicam is a knock off of OCP.

I am an EMR (Digital Flora) user though. I think that one works best in the green environments I usually play. The 6sh122 cover complement is also great to complement the EMR to not-so-green fields. The grey side of the cover is especially good. Back to the EMR, not so sure it would work so well in your area. Another camo I particularly like is old KLMK Beryozka.

I've been starting to switch over to A-TACS IX, as it tends to be a bit more universal and has more depth to the eye, which helps it work better even up close. Unfortunately it's still quite a recent pattern, so it's a lot harder to get and tends to come at a premium. That said, it mixes very nicely with FG and other similar patterns like tiger stripes, M05 and the like, so you can mix and match gear for a solid set up, if you don't _need_ everything to be in the same pattern.

I'm British, and my local field is in a dense woodland. So I went to an army surplus store and chose DPM (Disruptive Pattern Material) for my camo, which the army used up until the early / mid 2000s. Fun fact, the jacket I bought was worn by a British Royal Engineer during the Falkland conflict.
As someone who sadly cannot join the military for medical reasons, that was quite humbling to find out.
The DPM pattern does wonders with my Tokyo Marui VSR10 as I'm hiding in a thick set of leaves and branches. :)

My favourites are the good old Swiss Alpenflagen (based on a German scheme from 1944/45), the Russian SS-Leto (summer version of a camouflage based in wartime Waffen SS one from 1940-45), then the Vietnam era ERDl (which is the great Grand father of Woodland, but is much more beautiful, with smaller patches and an astonishing pea green) and some of the tigerstripe schemes, those with high contrastas in the colours. The Italian previous désert scheme from the 1990’s is also beautiful and rater than others.

Would it be weird for me to have a full black outfit that I use outdoors? Its the only look that I fully 100% like, but I dont wanna feel like that weirdo in the squad you feel me? What I could do, is get another gear set, for outside only purposes.

Make a video on how to measure the clothes. i.e should i buy using waist size or leg length? Some companies use different measurements. I just want something cheap but good on eu sites.

Multicam, if I need a bit more mottled pattern than ATACs AU for arid or ATACs FG for more green. Helikon Pencott Badlands is also a great one for deserts with red and tan.

Personally I don't use camouflage because, in my opinion, camouflage in airsoft is somewhat useless, unless you are using a marksman rifle in a very dense wooded environment.
More than likely, camouflage won't do shit to hide you in an airsoft engagement because most engagements are around 100 feet; at that point you have about an 80% chance of getting spotted.
Plus, I use black accessories, and most camo-patterns don't go so well with black.

I’m still biased towards the Canadian CADPAT woodland/arid camos.
Maybe you could check the camo out, it’s a very good camo! 👍

Arid CADPAT is very good. The so-called "woodland" - very green - is known locally as "hot dog relish" or "Bicks." All worn/surplus CADPAT uniforms are now shredded, not sold as surplus. Not sure when that started - possibly 2010-12. There's a CF RUclips video that shows the shredding shop at one of the big bases, but I don't have the URL at hand. There's also a "northern" CADPAT (don't know the official name) which is pretty rare - mostly arctic white/grey, but with a bit of tundra thrown in. I have seen it against a snowy background - it's pretty good.

there is a reason why many practice targets are black... take a note of that before you go full black multicam on some airsoft range or when out stealth camping... as a european myself, i do love multicam, but only in early spring or fall to early winter... flecktarn is the complete package when in most european woods.
