Today we're reviewing the Eagle Industries RRV -- which was used heavily in the 2013 film "Lone Survivor." Let's talk about the historic accuracy of the gear used in the film, and how we'd create a similar set up for airsoft.

Still wish the Kelty MAP 3500 was still being made and sold.
I just picked up a od green one and a tan one off eBay. I’d sell one
Tbh due to it being able to hold a plate with the admin flap up you could put a qore ice plate in there to have dedicated hydro without something on your back!
Old School gear is still great! Old School best School!
You could put a block of closed cell foam in the bottom of the tall radio pouch for a short radio!
I picked up one of these khaki Eagle RRVs as well. I've been wanting a coyote one from the FSBE II kit for my Marine Force Recon impression, but coyote ones seem to be hard to come by. Anyways, an interesting note on back panel options, at least as far as what Force Recon did, they often times used the back plate bag off of an Allied Industries MBSS as well.
Also, in regards to those radio pouches, I have 3 of them (one for my MBSS, RRV, and CIRAS) that I use with a Baofeng. To make the radio sit up higher in the pouch, I simply cut 5 2"x2" squares out of cardboard, tape them together, and put them in the bottom of the pouch.
Interesting topic! Definitely entertaining and thought provoking. Also, airsoft af and relatively niche. Looking forward to the next video in this series
I'm making a militia copy of this setup, idea is a veteran who kept his gear and is taking it out to defend his home land, or is a PMC on his last job.
Great video. Love this Rig, but it isnt coyote brown. Its MJK - Matt Johnson Khaki!
Great review. The load bearing capability rigs need a comeback. I’m currently selling the full SFLCS kit with all of this in it. Love it, but have no use anymore. If anyone’s interested hit me up. These kits are awesome.
Everyone likes the GWOT look! 😄
Surprisingly the RRV in the movie is condor/pantac
question was that wounded guy who's dazedness kept getting the team into danger based on a real person and real circumstances in that movie?
This just looks super wierd from the back. I think it's supposed to go in and X on your back, from left shoulder to right under arm buckle and vice versa.
From my understanding the older ones are an H harness, newer ones (like mine, which will be the next video) are an X harness
I wish I didn't had sold my SPR mk12😢
I'm not gonna lie, airsoft is LARP vibes. I'll probably only purchase Condor webbing, rigging, and pouches. I'm just an airsofter, and even a review of a PC I want, alleges it's being used irl.
The ONLY thing that will keep me militarily "canonical" is like Milsim West, or Desert Fox Events.
