There's also why I hate people who make cheater videos. Km is a big one on top of using a 750 fps bolt action which is illegal in the UK and a 600 fps air revolver and he intentionally goes for headshots. There's a reason he's banned from 50 fields. Dutch is another one I'm not sure about cleanshot since I haven't watched him in a while
@@darkshock42mlg05 I would say the most of the Airsoft influencers are big douchebags at least. Novritsch, KM, Silo. New players are watching those stupid videos and act accordingly.
Most places allow 25 rps and will give you a 50.,for.med.and indo abide by that. My rule of thumb with a my LCT rpk16 is just don't get super close. Realistically I'm not any closer than 50 ft 95% of the time a d I have my sidearm to fall back on.
Showed up at Bad Cat for the first time about a week ago with my one an only gun. Didn't pass chrono. :( Thankfully, my M4 is quick-change, and I was able to buy an M90 spring to pop in and get under the limit. Ended up having a great time, and can't wait to get back there for more action!
In my experience, it's the speedsofters that break rules in normal skirms. Like not taking hits (from rental guys especially) or shooting through tiny gaps that the refs said was not allowed. With toxic behaviour after..
As a real steel guy who’s trying to get into Airsoft. In my personal experience. I will do my research online forums & RUclips videos. & sometimes still have a question. So when I ask a IG, FB, or YT channel a question… The answers I get typically don’t answer my question & they’re just demeaning gatekeeping jabs… Like most communities, isn’t always toxic, but can be🤷🏽♂️
As someone who uses real steel, played paintball for over 30 years and has played airsoft for a while now it can be overwhelming to get into. I would say get a good comfortable mask/goggle set-up and go from there. Being able to see can make or break any day of play. From there get your gun, this would depend on your style of play, I also looked at what others were using in my area so they could help me if I needed it. I started with a G&G Combat Machine which will be super reliable and then went to a Krytac LVOA. Both are great guns that you can upgrade if you want or leave stock and will be perfectly fine as well. I've added a few other guns to my collection over the years but I think we all do that.
Seems to be more snipers in recent years, maybe as a result of videos on YT. I once went to a paintball site doing a sunday airsoft day. Very small maps, as paintball doesn't have the same range, and too many snipers made it an awful day. Out of about 40 players in total, about 13 were snipers, and uneven teams with 8 on one team and 5 on the other. We were literally getting sniped as we stepped out of respawn zone, limits needed for sure.
A lot of them give others a bad rep. There are a lot of cool ones you can meet, just try staying away from the douches. Some fields have their own regulars so they know all the spots and the refs will let them get away with things they shouldn't unfortunately 🤦♂️
In the Philippines MED rules are backwards. it's based on what category your replica is regardless of what fps it is, For example if you have a smg that shoots under 350fps you still have to observe MED of 10meters. While only pistols have no MED. which has grown a toxic culture of moding pistols to shoot 450+ fps. it's backwards at.
My teammate and I were ripping hard on some of that toxic mentality while we were playing zero caliber the other night. We were just roleplaying basically, but it was fun as hell ripping on it. There is more to range then just a good hop, bucking, nub, and barrel. Like yeah, that is the easiest way to get range, but its also dependent on then volume of air pushing the bb. Barrel length is tied to the cylinder you are using. If your barrel is too long, it can kind of create a vacuum in the barrel and slow the bb down. Personally I prefer 3/4 ported, or full cylinders. With 3/4 ported I don't go passed 330mm length. For full cylinder, I'll usually stop at 363mm just because I don't like super long barrels. My SR25 with the long barrel on it shoots 1.5j with a 363 mm 6.03 inner and it hits 250 ft with .3s pretty consistently. It even hits similarly with its 10.5" short barrel just because of the amount of air behind the bb. Now, my scar and M4 are both 3/4 ported and run 10.5" 6.03mm inner barrels. The hit maybe 175 ft with .3s at 1.3j, that's like maximum though. Like I can do it, but its not always easy. They have less air behind the bb, so they have less range inherently. I run M120 springs in all my replicas.
Q&A Afternoon Lane, I have a bit of a predicament. Background I am the designated go to Ref and Airsoft representative for my local Paintball/airsoft field. We host airsoft every other weekend, and 2 airsoft scenarios during the summer. And at both of these scenarios we maybe have a total of 30 people throughout the whole day. Of these 30, I have a group of 7-8 people whom if I let them all be on the same side, the outcomes become VERY one sided. We try to split them up, but then if we don't let them play together for at least half the scenario they will to leave. This is also an ongoing issue during our regular games. Can you think of a good way to alleviate this issue? I do have more questions but I don't want to flood your feed
Definitely think we need a better set of rules for the Refs or some kind of general guidelines to follow for the fields so all of this bull crap can stop already. A few years ago this sport was thriving, now it seems like its slowly falling apart. Honestly very sad to be a part of this community and watch our local fields and players slowly dwindled away week after week. Stay strong brothers, we can build it back again 💪 Storm before the calm and all that good stuff! ❤️💛💚 much love from Central Florida. Love your content brother keep up the great job 👍👏👏👏 Edit: and sisters! Dudes and duduettes, all those things 😅
14:00 if you do GAFB, particularly MSW, bring a mask and wash your gear after. Chemicals/asbestos/rat shit was signifigant actually heh hell I wish I brought a neti pot wash to clean your sinuses a few times during lol.
This. Printing material is important, as well as printing that material *well*. For bigger things you can integrate metal reinforcements in holes. For example I've been getting close to finishing a full BR-55 AEG from Halo, and that weighs about 5KG with all the stainless reinforcements. It feels more solid than most guns you can buy.
As many people know the airsoft community is somewhat scattered and there is not a real unity that can be seen in the community. Do you feel like this disconnection has hurt the hobby as a whole in terms of growth? Or do you feel like keeping it disconnected like it currently is what has allowed it from falling pray to hostile outside forces?
14:32 I mean yes and no. Gbbrs are becoming more usable ever since VFC pretty much made the gas M4 mag effectively the standard with how it works as well as the MWS becoming more and more common. Is it usable for a MSW? Absolutely it is! The only caveat would be you can’t play like everyone else, and have to change your play style, but if you committed to GBBRs you already know this. The myths of gbbrs being unreliable is just a really old piece of airsoft fuddlore especially with the current platforms
If you have a question you'd like to have in the next episode leave a comment below! Timestamps are in the video description
What kind of optics setup should people run at MSW? Should we use magnified optics and if so what do you recommend?
Airsoft is not toxic, players are. Surround yourself with the good ones.
Agreed
Too much politics getting thrown in, when it has no place in the sport to begin with.
Yep couldn’t agree more

This is true for the most part, I've heard speedsofters say "Im not calling that" or similar but its still not fair to say they all are cheaters.
1 joule is something I can totally get behind, it was awesome in Japan.

Some indoor fields have a AEG limits set on 415. Is it too much? You can shoot at blank point with 415 fps.
If you were going to open your own field, how would you design it?
for 3d printing concerns. they do have merit to them however are heavily mitigated by good print quality.
Q: What do you think of the new PMG-5 from Echo1? Going to be a Good or Bad thing for Airsoft Fields?

Airsoft seems to be perpetually in a state of "A few years ago this sport was thriving, now it seems like its slowly falling apart." 😂
Gas blowbacks also shine in indoor/CQB airsoft. Most fun way to play!

I'd suggest carrying a bottle of water with Liquid IV in it, it helps a ton!

Alot of people in the airsoft community aren't toxic , they try to help people not spend money on shitty items
Change my mind
If you think 15ft engagement distance is bad in an indoor field is bad, I go to an outdoor field with a 20ft engagement distance
I just wouldn’t play anywhere that has an engagement distance. If I wanted to go around saying bang bang I’d just use my fingers
gas blow back can be for a realistic type of game play.
I think as with any hobbies theres a opputunity to be toxic then people are gonna be toxic
toxic is a made up designation for people that either are ignorant or unrealistic about how life and the world is
Only people are toxic the sport is a beautiful and fun experience
Yes. Your very own community bullied me out of your discord for seeking information.

The claim of realism makes it toxic. Simulating bayaktars and drones in airsoft. Paintball simulates musket fights more realistically.
