@@psychedelicfright85 I've been trying constantly to give the younger generation and new styles and sounds of rap/Hip hop a chance and there is plenty of new stuff that keeps the early to mid 90's Era boom bap style alive and well. There's also a lot of newer stuff that sounds completely different like the NY drill scene or the Atlanta Trap sound that I've learned to appreciate due to a few rappers bringing the heat and having the swag that sounds tight on those style beats. Lyrically though hardly any of it is on par with type of lyricist we rate highly but still sounds tight.
Overall I keep on going back to the rappers from the 80's and 90's though. If they were dropping dope projects then you can bet they still dropping dope projects these days too.

@@psychedelicfright85 a couple of years back I heard the Trophies album from OC produced by Apollo Brown and was blown away. I knew who DITC was when they were out but somehow OC was the lone memeber I don't remember at all from that time. Out of the 90's rappers still active he's put out a couple of my favorite albums in recent years, his Same Moon Same Sun album from 2017 and A New Dawn from 2018. OC is a Great example of that 90's Era transcending into the future while still carrying the torch of hip hop burning from since the days of old. Respect Brother Devin ✌🏽️🤙🏽
