- The original quartet, appearing on the US TV show 'California Sound' during 1971. Three songs were lip-sync'd to on the show but (to date) this is the only footage that has re-appeared...
Jimmy Griffin on harmony was outstanding and totally under appreciated. A true talent.
It's shame he and David broke up. Bread could have gone on many more years.

David Gates doesn't do well singing live.
Not true... many "Live" clips are on RUclips of Bread, and Gates solo... David's singing is always wonderful, often sounding exactly like the studio recording.
@@alanfisher2121 Oh yes, I've seen him in clips from the Glen Campbell show and numerous other televised concerts singing live and he's great. He and James Griffin are amazing singers!

The version of this song io the original album is a little less produced. There is no orchestra. I think it's better. Sounds rawer. Either way, it is a great song.
The two versions are actually in two different keys, too!

That's my favorite song of BREAD: "IT DON'T MATTER TO ME". 1970. Beautifull and unforgetable. ( Still with ROB ROYER ).
