I have been watching all these videos for the past 2 weeks with only 10hrs of lesson, I PASSED MY TEST TODAY, in Los Angeles Hollywood DMV. I only made 8 errors.

It’s a very mellow test and it certainly give you a nice roundabout tour of this area. It’s a cute little town. I’m wondering where it’s located at I can’t read the license plates.
Wow! That was a really long test. Actually, that is one of the longest road tests ever. I can't imagine sitting and driving in a vehicle with a driving instructor for that long of a duration. It would be very stressful for me to do a very long road driving exam like that. I am so nervous to do mines, and I am also nervous about failing. So I must pass my road test on my very 1st try also as well after completing the written exam with a 25/25 perfect score. Also, I should say that since I do not have to do parallel parking for the Nevada DMV test, because they already omitted that exam in my state, I haven't focused on it that much. But what I am really much more focused on is the 3-point turn, the reverse parking, and also backing up since you can not hit the curb or it's an automatic fail and I do not know if that is required in my state. Failure is scary. I hope I can be able to pass mines. Scary! 😨😱

Guys go in faith and believe in yourself. I just passed my test about two hours ago in Canada 🇨🇦. I must say a patient instructor helps as well. These videos are also veryyyy soothing and visually helpful 💯

Lol 😂 I am getting a nice tour of this area. At first, I thought it was a sleepy, quiet town, then we go through the city after the highway, then a nice little suburban area, right at the end.
Does anybody know where this is located at? I have to say though it’s a long test, but I’m kind of jealous of how easy it is.
I have to do parallel parking, reverse parking, three point turns, along with all the regular stuff. But no highways, so I’m happy about that because I-95 corridor in my city is a freaking nightmare for experienced drivers.

The California driving test is around 20 minutes you have to make left and right turns be able to change lanes and reverse straight back

This is a very long test, in Santa Clara County is only 15 mns and it does’t include freeway at all, not even parallel parking anymore.

@@SB-zu5xh my driving test was super easy, it was like 5 minutes only, from the DMV she took me to El Camino Real, then she asked me to changed lanes twice on el Camino Real, then turn rigth on Benton ave, then Kyle St, and then couple of other residencial streets, then she asked me to go back to the DMV, for a minute i thougth that i had failed but once we parked at the DMV she told me that i had passed but still she advice me on some things that i need to improve, (they always do) so driving test is easy, goodluck to you 👍🏻👍🏻🙏
I live in Santa Clara county too and am taking it at Los Gatos DMV. It’s true, it will not include freeway or parallel parking, only pulling up to a curb and backing up.
I am a bit amazed that a part of the test in the USA at least is not on the highway.
In the Netherlands the autosnelweg (Dutch highway) and in Germany the Autobahn (German highway) are parts of the test. The examiner wants to test whether you are able to insert into the highway properly. In Germany you are allowed to drive as fast as you want, as long you are not putting the other traffic into danger.
In the Netherlands the speed limit depends on the time of the day:
- 130 km/h (80 MPH) between 19:00 and 6:00;
- 100 km/h (60 MPH) between 6:00 and 19:00.
Exceptions are indicated with signs (number (km/h) in black on round white signs with a red circle).
In Germany there is no speed limit, unless there are speed limit signs (in the same way as in the Netherlands). The recommended speed is 130 km/h (80 MPH).
This is in Canada they have very different more strict rules when it comes to driving test.

Not sure if it's because i've had my license before but my provisionals expired during covid and I didn't get a chance to renew it before the end of my state's state of emergency, so when I went to renew my license I had to retake the learners test. Then they told me I had to retake the skills assessment as well, so I watched a few videos to refresh my memory on everything as I have been driving for over a year and have developed certain things that the instructors wouldn't allow. When I went to go take the test, the instructor didn't even get in the car, just took me to a small course with cones to back up into a parking spot, pull into a parking spot, complete a 3 pt turn inside 2 parking spots, then follow the course with the stop signs. I figured after that he was going to get in the car and we'd be doing the road portion of the test, but no, he said "congratulations, you passed".. took less than 5 mins but I can't complain!
TLDR; When retaking my drivers test due to my license expiring, it was a small closed course that took less than 5 mins with no road portion and the instructor wasn't even in the car.
I have my driving test tomorrow at Novato. Nervous and excited, both at the same time.....

My road test is on April 1st but its in riverside and I’ve never been there before but I’ve been driving for about a year now on a permit and feel pretty confident. But of course new area new struggles. Hoping to pass this one 😭

I have a question during a road test do we have to still obey the school zone speed limit sign when school is not in session until school starts back in the fall
I don't know for sure, but I would imagine that the school in your area has flashing signs that state when you have to go the slower speed limit?
I think it's if there are children walking on the streets. idk though.
I’m not sure but I personally stopped over the school zone speed limit juste in case because there’s usually a playground accessible or something so I follow the school speed limit just to make sure

Typically not... CA only requires straight backing I believe.

A question to experts. At 9:00, why is she waiting for the truck established at the intersection to turn before she proceeds to the intersection herself? Are we supposed to wait if there is already a vehicle established in the intersection? I thought we should proceed and establish in the intersection on Green. Thanks in advance for the answers!
I don't see what you are saying, all I saw was her waiting for the oncoming traffic to leave a space to turn left
There was a lot of oncoming traffic. That’s why she was stopped. She couldn’t have proceeded through that intersection due to the amount of oncoming traffic.
The truck doesn’t play a factor if she makes her left turn. She has oncoming traffic going straight that needs to go first. You must yield to oncoming traffic first before making a left turn.

have a question if someone fail their road test on the first attempt will the driving examiner keep the road test route the same when that same person comes back for their second attempt at the road test
It depends, you might get a different examiner that does the same route or same examiner and different route.

not typical - but yes in some states.
This is in Alberta(Canada). Highway road tests (full licence) are common here.
