What a great singer and showman Hutchence was. You are so missed Michael.
I don't care who you are....if INXS doesn't get you pumped and bouncing!? You're not even human....one of the greatest 80s bands.... STILL think "Good Times" is one of the greatest songs ever created 💯💯💯
I agree with you that INXS were one of the greatest 80s bands. They had a unique sound that combined new wave, funk rock and dance-rock I love “Good Times” too, especially the duet with Jimmy Barnes. It’s such a catchy and uplifting song. What are some of your other favorite songs by them?
And if you dont vote for Biden….then you ain’t black!
@@BethRoarsone of my very favorite INXS songs is Suicide Blonde! Love that song from day one!❤
Greetings from Argentina
'Devil inside' is a good one, too..
@@cacolobos5107 True!
Great analysis, Michael Hutchence doesn't always seem to get recognised for his talent, but he was so talented and nuanced without showing off. Just the perfect amount of show to make the songs epic.
I was CHOKED up when they found him HANGING around. DEAD on great band. NOOSE sensation is to DIE for.
@@heywoodjablowme8120 You're a jerk!
@@pmR32red I always loved it when a rock star thought their life was so hard they just couldn't go on. I would have preferred the classical overdose but you can't have everything now can you?
@@heywoodjablowme8120 I guess you find yourself oh so funny. Oh so edgy.
He was living a great life until he was bashed senseless in Asia for no reason. He was never well again after sustaining brain damage. What's your excuse?
@@Mrmikey0909 Glad you got such a KICK out of my comment. WHAT YOU NEED is a different perspective. LISTEN LIKE THIEVES to what I'm about to say, the DEVIL INSIDE of me made me do it. I NEED YOU TONIGHT to understand that you will NEVER TEAR US APART, me and that dead 🧠 brain damaged junkie who they found hanging on hotel door. And BTW he got his head cracked in Denmark not Asia probably for acting like the twat he always was.
I was at that concert. Possibly the best live gig I've ever been to.
So jelly
Mark Opitz and Nick Egan say it is emphatically the best live concert they have ever been at... and they have seen pretty much everyone
Yep,it was a brilliant day out. All the bands before & then INXS slayed it.
I'm an Aussie who was 25 then & lucky enough to be living there at the time...from '90-'93.
Wembley and the crowd vibe just blew me away. The best concert I have ever been to. 🤘🤘
@@sandgroperwookiee65 Again, so jelly! The video footage is absolutely phenom!
Yeah definitely best gig I've been too
Michael Hutchence the sexiest front man and best vocalist that has ever lived.
INXS Aussie legends.
This concert at Wembley stadium in 1991 was the greatest concert ever. Period.
One of the greatest 80's bands of all time.
And 90s. They had 4 phenom albums after KICK in that era!
Of all time. Period.
@@Javier-xi4cd Agreed 1000%
Or one of the greatest bands of the 80s 😉
Cannot simply call them a great 80’s band… or 90’s band. My opinion INXS is timeless and really one of my favorite band of any era.
Michael was magic. Best fronyman of his time
Having seen INXS multiple times, and having been fortunate enough to meet Michael Hutchence a couple of times in person, I can say that no one held an audience in the palm of their hand quite like he did. Amazing!
Not quite in Michael's league but another front man that oozed charisma with an amazing stage presence was Marc Hunter from Dragon - who also tragically passed way too young.
I met Michael once. Best 3 hour conversation I've ever had. I've kept my promise to him to never let anyone make me feel smaller than I am. I'd like to think he kept his promise to me too.
❤ Safe Journey's, Michael. ❤
You're always on my Mind,
in my Heart,
and part of my Soul.
So true
Great band...and Michael Hutchence was completely in control of his voice & performance. Always effortless and in key...
Look at that crowd! The energy!! INXS was one of those bands that got mad respect; from serious music aficionados, metal heads, goths, casual music fans, older and younger people. Just a legendary act with a brilliant catalogue of songs. Those guys worked their absolute arses off on the Australian pub scene for years and deserved every bit of their success.
INXS - ALL of these musicians had talent, passion, work ethic & friendship
- Michael had the X-Factor!
Michael was such a natural singer and you couldnt take your eyes off him . This particular concert was probably their crowning glory . Suicide blond was just amazing when the whole crowd was just pulsing with energy .
Lost in INXS! This is the proper reaction to INXS! More please!
Another good reaction to INXS at Wembley is by the Wolf HunterZ channel.
This song has always had such a wonderful positive energy. It evokes an image of a glorious early summer morning as the sun warms your soul and at that moment you realise that you haven’t a care in the world.
Another example of one who did understand how to perform and connect with an audience! To early and to soon gone! RIP!
Kick is one of my top ten favorite albums of all time.
Thank you very much! Please do more INXS reactions ❤️
It's a little known fact that when MH died, the soundwave created by the combined sounds of the breaking hearts of ~4 million young australian men and women actually registered a 4.3 on the richter scale. #truefacts
Rip❤️
Best front man 😢 we miss Michael ❤ so talented. So sad
RIP Michael Hutchence...what a frontman
I prefer rest in peace. RIP seems disrespectful.
The band said in an interview that everything just clicked at this show. The right moment, right audience. Magic. You can see and hear how the band played off of the audience and vice versa.
It was at the end of a world tour, they were always sounded better live , saw them twice that year this summer xs concert had loads of great bands supporting that day❤ it
I remember watching these lads when they were still a pub band, around the time when the shaboo shoobah album came out. there was something special about them as you can see👍
The record company couldn’t work INXS out.
The bands music just didn’t fit into any regular musical genre at all, because their music was so different.
So the record companies made a new Genre just for. INXS.
It’s called …Dance Rock
I am so thankful that I got to see them live before his way to soon tragic passing.
What the f*** happened I did not know he was dead
@@ignaciogalvan1732 Committed suicide in 1997
I had tickets to their Perth concert….had never seen them before 😢
@@ignaciogalvan1732whattttttt!!??😮
I'm such a fan years later it's still hard to listen to them. Rest well Michael still miss you.
This tour was the next evolution of INXS, still got a copy of this LIVE BABY LIVE show on VHS and watched it untold times. "Just Keep Walking" is still my favourite from 1980. It was just so different, that raw sound and switches ... 43 years on, it'll never sound old.
Jon Farriss (Drums), Andrew Farriss (Keys mostly but literally everything), Tim Farriss (lead guitar), Kirk Pengilly (backing vocals, extra guitar, sax), Garry Gary Beers (bass), and obviously Michael. There were none better and this is #1 on the WISH I WAS THERE concerts list.
Here's Michael singing Need You Tonight, but his voice is isolated. Talk about pure sex appeal, raw talent and voice control!

Michael was a true pop star never been one like him, he had everything.
You need to check out Inxs never tear us apart at Wembley the best version of that song
As an Aussie, The memory of seeing INXS in Melbourne as a teenager will never leave me and I'm almost 50 now. 🤦

Michael Hutchinson should be up there when people list the greatest front men of all time
Certainly nostalgic for me - i was there! Bloody excellent gig.
Hutchence died far too young. Hard to lose a front man like that. They stumbled a bit in the 90's but they were still fantastic. Such a shame really.
Yeah, the breathiness. The staccato edginess. And that Michael je ne sais quoi.
Dang, he sounds every bit as good live as in studio! That's a hallmark of a great singer.
Hello from south France *Beth Roars,*
Thanks for this reaction; good job!
Can I suggest you react to *"INXS - By My Side (Official Live Video) Live From Wembley Stadium 1991 / Live Baby Live"* (from the same concert you reacted to here)? A straightforward song, but it has this indescribable thing that gives it the lifting effect, if you see what I mean... One of my favorites of them with *"Never Tear Us Apart"* and *"Original Sin."*
Peace, folks. ☮😏
Bring me lots of memories. He was so talented, RIP.
That was great 😊 I had no idea they were that great live ❤❤
What was it?
I wanna say 70+ thousand people jumping?!!
That song’s their masterpiece!
I cant believe you consider the lyrics to be so trivial. They aren't complicated its simplistic yet joyous in the manner in which you described his singing. You overlook he is also singing with bravado and fearlessness, singing with power and in doing so giving power. He is wishing wonderful sentiments to someone specifically while sharing it to anyone who is listening. Theres not a much more powerful gift you can give someone. He's being generous freely giving his love and wanting to lift everyone up in a most beautiful and powerful way in the manner of the strength of his voice way. He speaks of human frailty as well as the strength of the human soul. You really need to study lyrics more especially in your position. Know something about these people you critic and their philosophies. It will add an entirely new dimension to what you receive. This coming from a son whose mother reacheved her masters in music and was a classically trained singer and pianist. My grandfather sang and played piano in a jazz ragtime band on a Mississippi riverboat between St Louis and New Orleans during the 20s as well.
Easily my favourite Aussie band. Thanks for reacting to the live performance of this track. I keep hearing from people who went to this saying it's the best concert they've been to. Michael was both a true artist and performer. RIP
Hutch had ALL the swag.
FINALLY! A reaction to this incredible live version. Light years better than the studio cut. The power is transcendent. Amazed the whole stadium didn't self-combust. I can't imagine being there. When concerts were real concerts. NO cellphones! Thank you!!!! (OK, a few minutes in now... way too much narration there, hon. Totally chopped it up there. Too bad. Sorry, gotta bounce.) :-{
INXS playing live were amazing. Great reaction Beth!
Kick is just an overall great album.
Michael Hutchence was one of the last great rock and roll frontman. God please let there be more.
You might want to check out the mini series about the band called “ never tear us apart”.
The best tone ever, I could listen to him all day and night. Great showman I was devastated when he died. Loved your reaction ❤
Greatest frontman
Hutch was a unique singer. Rare sounds and rare ability to go up and down with the voice
Judging by this it seems to me your a fan of this band?
Never seen anyone so energetic and having a good time, it’s like you’ve just been plucked out of the audience during this performance.
I guess your just your avenge extraordinary woman with extraordinary taste..
I shall be looking up all this bands music for myself.
Please watch the live version of woman in chains by Oleta Adams and Tears for Fears. It's just perfection 🥰
We miss him
Wow. Great band/sound. Reminds me of Chicago@my generation...minus the horn section. Love the upbeat excitement...that gets the crowd jumping.
I don't think I've ever seen you so happy with a song.
Hell yea Beth love seeing you let loose and dance and feel the music. I was not an INXS fan but michael was such a great singer, songwriter and performer.
Would you please watch their appearance on the Arsenic Hall show? He really freestyles and it’s glorious.
He sings What U Need and it’s just amazing.
Please, please please do more INXS! What You Need from this concert is also another good one from a vocalist perspective. He does a lot with his voice in that one. Cheers!
good video and analysis a group that I listened to in my childhood the 80s great memory and good analysis 😊😊
Nice dance moves Beth. Its fun dancing to your reactions. I can't sit still.
They were better than Oasis ! 😎
You are always so adorable and cute when you really get into the songs
Oils and INXS were Australia's greatest exports. Both had killer musicians and powerful frontmen.
AC/DC?
Can you please do a response to "The Stairs" from this concert ?
They were the first Australian act to sell out Wembley
It's so fun to see you cut loose and enjoy the performance. It puts a smile on my face every time 😊. You consistently bring a wonderful personal insight to your reactions. Keep dancin' girl!

Nice to see you really get into a reaction! Over 90,000 at Wembley when your this good!
Michael Hutchence is my forever rock god. The early days in Sydney pubs were the best. He reached down to me and pulled me up to kiss me ! OMG I will never forget those lips or those hands in my long blonde hair. I’m blessed ❤
💯🙏
Sorry for the horrible English..
I think his voice looks like Mick Jagger. Full voice, if you know what I mean.
I really don't know express myself in English
Michael Hutchence was and still is the greatest and sexiest front man that ever lived and this concert probably the best ever perhaps only surpassed by AC/DC at River Plate stadium Buenos Aires,
I only compare this video to Queen's performance at Live Aid playing Radio Ga Ga. The energy is so contagious that it is impossible to remain indifferent.
Came on here to post exactly the same. This concert, in my opinion, doesn't get the plaudits, that it deserves
INXS was my very first concert when they opened for the Go Go's. ❤
Ricky Martin clearly stole a lot from him. Michael Hutchensen. He never made an effort to sing. An idol
Can you please react to Elegantly wasted by INXS , music video version please 😊
INXS were brilliant
You were REALLY gettin' *INTO IT* towards the end, there Beth!
One of the best Aussie rock bands.
Could you also please react to our brilliand Auusie girl doing her version of Eminem's 'Loose Yourself'. Kasey Chambers. Absolutely brilliant vocal skills.

Love Cy!
I was living in Germany when it came out. The whole album was great.
Most of the Oz bandsof the 60s & 70s came out of live music venues - the big pub venues. (INXS came - mostly - out of the beach pub scene). So in that envirnmenty you always needed a great lead, to get up over the pub noise and to hold the attention of the crowd. The Oz pub scene was a hugley competitive environment from which so many earlier Oz bands and voices spawned; it was musical Dawinism. Oz bands weren't manufactured by some Stock Aitken & Waterman music factory, they had to thrive to survive. So after the sad death of Michael, the members tried a few things, before settling back into the music business. INXS' Melbourne -born saxophonist Kirk Pengilly married Australian ex-world surfing champion Layne Beachley and they set up house in the northern Sydney beachside of Manly.
I enjoyed your joy!!
how about never tear us apart ? best INXS song ever
Get Down!!!!! Beth!!!! Great Band!!!!!! Got there Music!!!!! I'm 70, Still Rock n Roll!!!!!!!
