    Restarting my PC literally the day after yielded different results, I changed the Device Installation settings back to No, and added the ID labeled "Device instance path" inside of the Device Manager to see if that would let Windows know to not change anything in that specific place.

    Hello Sir!
    It seems like i can't find the device installation carpet in Local group policy editor.
    I'm running a Lenovo Ideapad with integrated amd graph card!
    Amd software runs until windows requires an update after that drivers restore to the restore ones from fabric.

    • @BlackAgent12

      Only thing I could assume from the info you gave is that you went down the wrong path within the group policy editor, Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration (NOT User Configuration) > Administrative Templates > System > Device Installation > Device Installation Restrictions, there you should find the "Prevent installation of devices that match any of these device instance IDs" and then follow the video as normal, hope this helps!

    Need help, I followed the steps exactly and now my Monitor is displaying No HDMI Signal. This happened after the AMDCleanup part. Reset my system and now it wont turn back on. Ive tried troubleshooting it but nothing is working. I have an Asus Monitor

    • @BlackAgent12
      @BlackAgent12  Год назад

      After the AMD Cleanup, your PC should only have gotten rid of all the drivers and software from AMD. If If you’re getting absolutely no monitor output, check for faulty cables and replug them. If your monitor starts up and then doesnt display as your computer is on then for some reason your monitor isnt getting output from your PC, if you have other HDMI ports on your pc try those, if not you might have to try a different connector type or another monitor.

    • @BlackAgent12
      @BlackAgent12  Год назад

      The first problem is why I use the Group Policy Editor in the video, it forces Windows to not install new drivers automatically for your GPU. Wattman is AMDs power management application, so it failing likely has to be due to your drivers being replaced, relating back to the first problem

      If you got the error with an NVIDIA gpu that’s because the AMD software wouldn’t be compatible with it since it’s not an AMD device, so install NVIDIA’s drivers from their site instead and uninstall the Radeon software.

    I did everything to the letter and still having issues. I also have the AMD RX 580. The monitor is still shutting off but the computer still stays on. After I did this step, 2 minutes later the monitor shut off again. Everything in your video was identical to everything I did on mine but still having issues. I was hoping it was gonna stop my monitor randomly shutting off all the time, I'm lucky it's on right now, but give it another minute, it may shut off again. Windows update is off and RX 580 is disabled again. Just shut off a minute ago and had to restart again, twice now. I can't even write this because it keeps shutting off and I can't finish this comment. Now I got that AMD bug report pop up again. Seems this is getting worse with the shutting off. I know it's not my monitor because I have 2 monitors and does it on both.
    UPDATE AS OF 05 MAY 2023:
    Just purchased a new AMD RX 580 graphics card for $119.99 on Amazon. After installing this I realized now it was my old graphics card taking a crap on me (although it SHOULDN’T HAVE!) The new one’s been staying on permanently the last 48 hours or so. I’m not suggesting, but just letting all of you know that was my issue. Seems it’s a bit faster on my video editing so I’m speculating it had to be the old card. Incase anyone is interested, here’s the link to what I purchased on Amazon:

      What step are you referring to where you said "after I did this step". I don't really know what else to do with the information given other than to check what graphics driver you see in your device manager, your pc might have trouble recognizing the GPU over and over to get its display. The only other thing I could suggest to do is the typical "fix all" solutions like updating Windows.

    • @AmericanSoldierSioux1969
      @AmericanSoldierSioux1969 Год назад +1

      @@BlackAgent12 the "after I did this step" I was referring to all the steps from your entire video, sorry for confusion. It' hard to concentrate and write when the monitor keeps shutting off like it just did, again. Windows is updated, had it off temporarily because of the AMD issue. Whether I turn Windows updates on or off, I still get the monitor shutting off. The odd thing is, I have the exact same card you do....RX 580. I have no clue why it's doing this, I didn't change anything inside my computer at all, just started doing this for the last 2 weeks now.
      But I'm also noticing AMD users are warning people that AMD is having big issues right now with any type of update and to roll back if they start having issues with their graphics cards as of 2 weeks ago. And I did update the GPU but still having issues. May have to take to a computer repair place cause I'm out of ideas and fixes. Did the roll back but again, still having the issue.

      @@BlackAgent12 it has to be an AMD issue that's all I can think of. I plan on taking mine to a computer repair shop here in town tomorrow. I'll laugh if they can't figure it out either, but they're experts so they should know what they're doing......I hope! Worse comes to worse I'll just buy a new computer WITHOUT AMD.
