What a great video, man! I just messaged you about the 7900 XTX I just picked up too. I noticed the ghost specter OS. Thats what I run as well!
Thank you! I don’t know if I saw your message.. but ya specter os is great!
This is an awesome video
Thank you soo much for the video. I was soo confused when my factory reset button wasn't been able to be ticked anymore
You’re welcome!!!
AMAZING!!!!!!!
great glad i ran into this video, was gonna ask if AMD has a similar software Driver installer as Nvidias NVCleanInstaller after using DDU. Thanks RedNeK👍🏻
You’re very welcome!
Thank you. I have to install my new rx6800xt tomorrow! If I get lost, will call you for help 👍
Make sure to download the new driver first so you can install it while safe mode is still on
Dope!
Wow they made it so easy. XD
Where to open ddu from?
Sometimes I get small fps drops for no reason, even when playing Games which barely affect performance. This appeared after the New AMD Treiber update. Will the uninstalling help?
Small drops in fps is pretty normal.
What if I don't want to uninstall my Chipset drivers and only uninstall Graphics driver?
You can select what it uninstalls. It should only be the graphics drivers
Im new to pc gaming amd 5700 6600xt. I updated the driver from pro to adrenaline for gaming how can i delete the old drivers? Or does it due that auto?
Running the cleanup utility deletes the old drivers for you. Then you have to reinstall the new driver
i tries this and when my pc booted to safe mode i got no signal on both my monitors just a black screen now :(
What are you using to connect to your monitors?
How do I know which AMD GPU to reinstall (after AMD Clean-Up Utility), is the right one for my laptop?
You have to check which AMD GPU you have in the system. But there is a tool on AMD's website to find the newest driver for your GPU.
Do you put the new card in then do the amd clean up utility or do the clean up then put in new card?
you can put the new card in first.
After I use amd cleanup utility,my laptop didn't have sound, can you help me plsssss
Download the drivers back
Okay before I do amd clean up I have to download the newest AMD software update again first then use the amd clean up ? And when I’m out of safe mode i install the download I have ?
That’s the way I would do it, yes.
Thank you for this video. I also have a 6900xt, can your please share you overlocking profile with me? Subscribed for sure!
Oh man it’s been so long since I was using my 6900xt. Not sure I have an OC profile for it anymore
what if i use AMD Cleanup utility and while in safe mode i installed the driver, is it safe?
It may not let you install the driver while in safe mode but that won’t hurt anything if you do!
Do you have to install chipset drivers separately for both?
chipset drivers are only for the motherboard and are not effected by the amd cleanup utility
For me I get to safe mode click on the ok for it to do the cleanup but never get the next window to click finish just leaves me stuck in safe mode??
I’m having the same exact issue, have you had any luck?
@@Alex_TheButcher not with that no, I ended up just using DDU which isn’t bad at all
@@Heda1230 might have to just go and do that then. I’ve googled and tried everything and still can’t get the AMD one to work.
For some reason using the amd clean up is not working like it used too for the newest amd driver. It never shows me that the deleting process is complete. And when I restart my computer , amd adrenalin is back , before updating.
Super weird. Maybe the .exe file got corrupted?
@RednekEngineer I'm not sure I've tried all I could from online forums but nothing worked. I just used the guru 3d ddu and that seemed to do it
@@alanbenyamin487 ya I'm not sure. I literally just used it last week on my own PC so its something weird going on with your system.
@RednekEngineer it is windows so you're probably right. But the ddu from guru3d worked like a charm.
@@alanbenyamin487 lol. I'm glad the ddu worked for you!
I tried this method after all my games looked like i was playing at 480p resolution even though im running a 7800xt and 7700 x processor with an Asus 1440, 144 hz monitor. Hope this helps. Ive rried everything and my games still look low resolution.
Did you make sure you’re connected to your gpu not your motherboard? Also have you checked your monitor and in game settings? Did you make sure to install the newest gpu driver after coating out the old one?
so, this AMD cleanup utility is safe right? i'm kinda worry my laptop won't turn on after the restart...
It’s 100% safe. It’s directly from AMD
It's not.. lol. My OS went dead when I tried updating to 24.1.1, even though I did use the Cleanup Utility before installing it. I dunno if it's a Windows issue, but I had to format because of that.
After this shocking experience, I've been trying to find a good and reliable source that reassures me DDU is a good alternative option that'll fix whatever the heck happened when I tried this update, so since I need my computer for more than gaming, been stuck on version 23.12.1 for now.
i was watching this because i have an amd pc but then i realized i didnt understand the language you were speaking. It was prob for the best because i wouldve turned my computer into a paper weight.
😂😂😂😂
Hi today im switching from AMD to NVIDIA GPU and my question is do i run to clean up with my AMD(old) still in the pc or do i run it after i put my nvidia(new) in. Also will it mess with my CPU (sorry for the dumb questionbut im new to this)?
Ya you can use the cleanup utility to remove the old AMD driver. Or you can just use DDU uninstaller before you install the new Nvidia driver.
@@RednekEngineer Thanks for the answer i went with the cleanup utility and downloaded the ddu in case some problems accur the next days/weeks
when i use the amd cleanup utility and it reboots into safe mode and then i click yes to the prompt, it just doesnt do anything, it doesnt even give me the promt later that yes that its completed and idk what to do :(
That's really weird. What are your system specs?
Bro it was working 2 weeks ago but I did it again and when I’m in safe mode I don’t get the pop up
@@mszastro that's super weird! I just used it again yesterday and it worked. I don't think it should matter, but is windows and your bios up to date?
yeah its werid ngl and i know everything is right so im gonna try reinstaling the clean up tool
@@RednekEngineer
Minimal Install also gives you the Adrenaline Software. With full install you only get useless services
In the past you would not have access to tuning with the minimal install. I’ll test it out though
This is what AMD says on their website FAQ: "Minimal installation provides only the basic controls for Radeon Software and does not include advanced features such as performance tuning or recording and capturing content. The driver only installation provides no user interface for Radeon Software features."
I know chances of getting a reply are low, but my PC absolutely will not load up Steam games (at least the 2 I have) it’ll run Xbox GP games and FiveM but I try to play Helldivers 2 and it freezes on the “Arrowhead” loading screen, Arma 3 will let me load onto the main menu but when I hit play it freezes. I have been searching relentlessly and have tried so much shit already to fix it, do you think this will help??
Specs are Ryzen 5 7600 CPU, AMD RX7600 GPU, 32 GB Tforce RAM, 1TB SSD
@@grind-hardtrashbaggang7083 hmmm.... have you made sure your bios, motherboard drivers and GPU driver are all up to date?
@@grind-hardtrashbaggang7083 Also make sure you are connecting your monitor into your GPU and NOT your motherboard
@@RednekEngineer yeah I just built it about 4 days ago I’ve made sure the GPU was up to date, I did something in the Bios (according to the build video I used) but I’m pretty pretty sure that’s up to date. Verified game files through Steam, uninstalled and reinstalled both games and Steam itself, factory reset PC and started over, ran a RAM check, Google is absolutely no help lol it’s got me wanting to pull my hair out
@@RednekEngineer what do you mean?? I just have my monitor connected to pc via hdmi
I did what you did and run amd Radeon while playing noticed better fps but when I restart my PC and play Games I notice fps drop and high GPU utilization ..
when you're gaming you want your GPU to have high utilization. make sure the software is set to run on startup
@@RednekEngineer
Omg I noticed that amd software is not on the startup , how to put it back?!
There should be a setting within the adrenaline program to have it run on startup
I used the cleanup utility, but the program locked me out of my computer. I tried using my previous and current passwords to log back in but its wrong. And it didnt give me the option to reset my password
that's super weird! I've never encountered that issue. There are some ways around being locked out of your PC
What other ways? I'm stuck on safe mode
@@sylviakimani9171 if you reboot your PC, you should be able to get out of safe mode.
www.easeus.com/resource/locked-out-of-windows-11.html
i got a black screen now and i use hdmi is pluged in the gpu and still black screen
hmmm if you have integrated graphics on your CPU, you could try connecting to that instead of the GPU.
@@RednekEngineer i don t 😭
@@idk1234h is it fixed now? if yes then how did you fixed it?
Does the cleanup utility remove chipset drivers as well?
For some reason when I installed the latest AMD drivers it didn’t give me the option to “Restart” after install has finished. It only said “Finish”
No it doesn’t remove chipset drivers. That’s okay, you can install the new driver after it restarts
Where can I get the amd profile xml file?
The one I have is specific to the gpu I have so it won’t apply to every gpu. That’s just an export of the overclock settings for my gpu
How can I know the best configuration for my RX6750XT?
@@RednekEngineer
I had a real problem trying to download an AMD Driver. I just got a 6800 and I spent over an hour trying to get just the driver to download. Couldn't do it. Every time I would get a Error 195. Turned off Defender, all extensions, and my Anti-virus. Still would not let me. Finally I downloaded Adrenaline and it installed without a problem. I am no fan of how AMD seems set on making me download an Auto Detect program and Adrenaline to get the driver I paid for to work.
I’ve never once downloaded a driver via the auto-detect program and I’ve been running AMD GPUs for nearly 3 years. Not sure why you weren’t able to just download the ones off the AMD site.
Hello brother same problem
Can u contact I'm trying to get adrenaline aswell
I don’t get it
Do I need to run as administrator?
you should, yes
Is it requires integrated gpu in my cpu
I don’t believe so. But we never use that for gaming so I don’t have a ton of experience with using/updating the APU
@@RednekEngineerDoes this Amd clean up software work on an APU tho?
It wont reboot me out of safe mode
what method did you use to get into safe mode?
@@RednekEngineer nevermind i fixed it, i went into msconfig, boot, disabled safe mode and reset. Thanks for this video!
Will amd clean up utility completely remove my nvidia driver so as to clean install an amd driver?
How do you have an nvidia driver on your AMD gpu??
@@RednekEngineer lol, sorry for the confusion. Originally I have an Nvidia card and Driver. I am now replacing that with a new AMD card and Driver. So I wanted to know if the application would clean out the old Nvidia driver properly :)
Also, how do I find when you will be live streaming on FB? Thx
Oh good question! I’m honestly not sure if it would clear out Nvidia files and data if you used to have an nvidia card… my guess is that it wouldn’t, but it’s worth trying!
I’ll actually be live later today on FB and kick!
@@RednekEngineer Thanks. I'd like to talk with you sometime. I hold a couple gpu and cpu WR, but this is my first real testing of AMD gpus in a very long time. I'm on Discord.
Thx for the info. Subscribed 👍🏻
I accidentaly cleaned it aut and now i cant do shit on mi pc fuck amd
Did you download the new gpu driver? This removes the old driver so you can get a clean install of the new driver
@@RednekEngineer forget it bro i fixed it already but it took me like 2 hours
@@Tony_Defekto how did you fixed it?
@@JAFFER3657 Reinstalling the drivers, the newest
Radeon is the worst garbage I have ever had, I always used Nvidia but due to financial problems I had to replace an old Nvidia card with an AMD one and my misfortunes began that day... the AMD Radeon platform was always damaged and now after an upgrade the system crashes from time to time turning off all my monitors, and to that we must add that all AMD cards are turned on ovens that swallow electricity because they can never be ventilated properly... I will never buy these garbage video cards again, it would be preferable to save double and always buy quality with Nvidia
Yikes 😬, sorry to hear about your experience. I’m currently having trouble since upgrading to a 7900xtx/7800x3d combo with my pc randomly turning off after a couple hours of doing stuff. You find a fix for your problem possibly? Cause i’ve been messing around for the past 2 weeks with no luck. I’m thinking of just completely cleaning my pc and starting from fresh.
Seem Normal for me it's just annoying to clean install every update. You might doing something wrong become like that?
Imagine having beef with a piece of plastic
Where to open ddu from?
What do you mean?
