When you open Device Manager and check the properties of the AMD Readon graphics card, you may see an error massage “Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems” with code 43.
This can point towards a graphics card that has had its BIOS or Firmware flashed.
The graphics card has probably been used for mining.

AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher modifies the AMD/ATI video driver to allow higher resolutions and refresh rates by removing the 165 MHz pixel clock limit for single-link DVI and HDMI, the 330 MHz limit for dual-link DVI, and the 400 MHz limit for VGA.

For miners this tool is a magic one since it allows to get rid of Error Code 43 on device manager when trying to load the driver on modified VBIOS.

You will need to run the patch every time you update the driver if the BIOS is not stock. It's a solid and safe piece of software, I've been using it 18 months plus. I run a Vega 56 and 480 (as shown in the video). I need it for the 480. PS you should show a separate video on flashing the BIOS, that's the more dangerous process. People need to know how to do that properly before this step. Good video!

Also bought second hand modded rx570 and only patching helped, but i am interested - can i return factory bios? Or should i stay with the modded one and it doesnt matter? by performance and temps it is the same as ref, comparing by youtube videos

Hey, can you do a video or research for a possible fix on error 43 for nvidia cards in the new 1903 update as i've googled and have found basically nothing.
What started as what I thought would be a simple Windows update, turned much worse when it restarted and couldn't find my RX570. After a lot of struggling I found your video and reflashed the bios. First one went South and I panicked a bit as there were all kinds of grids of pink and green happening on the screen. After the second try I got it. And it seems stable now. Thank you so so much!!

Holy shit after so many hours of browsing different forums and trying all sorts of thing, this is the solution that works and its the simplest one yet. Thanks Mr Britec09 you have no idea how greatful I am for this video, I send my gpu to TWO different pc repair shops and they said the gpu is dead. Bought an RX560 for ~30$, seller said they had around 4 more (should have been a sign it was used for something else).
Error 43 for DAYs, and I thought I was scammed.
This morning I found your video, flashed the card's ROM using one downloaded from techpowerup, and this absolutely fixed my problem! No more warning sign, video output works..
As a side note, I also noticed that the card had its fan spinning all the time before I flashed it (nothing plugged in, and of course, nonfunctional).
Now it's only spinning when being used. I guess this is its proper behavior now.

I've been dealing with this issue a lot and tried everything, including deinstalling-installing drivers again, even using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and nothing was working no matther how many times I tried. Thanks to this guy and a lot of other videos I've watched before actually getting here, I managed to fix the issue and if you have the same one, your GPU was probably used for mining and this will fix it 100%.
1 Option - You can download latest atikmdag patcher as in the video shown.
2 Option - You can try to flash back your VBIOS - Basically if some settings were changed in your video for better mining from the first user or something else, this will help your GPU to get back into manufacturer settings which means basically like a new fresh GPU which is the better option but don't do it straight away and watch videos about it before attempting it, also make sure you know for sure that the GPU was used for mining. If you're wondering if this still works in 2023, YES IT DOES.

I also bought a second hand card and had this code 43 error. Only spend 30 min trying to resolve it myself wit DDU and installing latest driver then came to youtube and voila case fixed. i have try at least 4 hour to fix this problem with uninstall driver on safe mode with lot of tool, and the atikmdag patcher solve the problem after a restart in just 5 minutes !!!

So if you have the original driver disk with the gpu will that count as flashing it? I bought a used 570 and it came with a disk but I don't have a disk drive. Should I buy an external one to load the disk onto it?

@@aidanmcguire9639 Hey I got the same one! Okay so here's everything I did. This could be kinda lengthy but maybe something here can help you out. I bought my Msi rx 570 used from eBay so I checked the thermal paste first. I made sure it was completely leveled when installing it. When I booted up my pc I when to Device Manager under Hardware and Sound through the Control panel. From there I when to display adapters and found something that said Basic Microsoft Display or something like that. I uninstalled it and restarted my pc. When I got back I downloaded AMD Clean Up Utility and ran it. Safe mode wasn't necessary. After that I found my specific driver I needed from the AMD website and download it and installed and restarted. After that I ran the patcher from this video and restarted. It worked for me after that.
in my display adapter thing in device manager it just shows my radeon rx 570 with a triangle on it and it says error code 43. I really hope you can help me. I've had this problem for like 3 weeks and don't know how to get the patcher or how to do this. do you have discord?

Yea, i have this error 43 problem on dual graphics laptop. I simply change "Switchtable Dynamic Graphics". Both on battery & plugged into optimize/maximize performance on advanced power setting and it fixed. I dont really know, in my case maybe power management on laptop can confuse some hardware.

Your the man!!!! My new to me card is working perfectly now. I thought it was because i replaced the fans on my rx 470 it was because the previous owner overclocked it and your fix worked great.

Just bought a used GIGABYTE Radeon RX 570-4GB for ma kids desktop to run some fortnite. I spent almost 4 hours uninstalling nvidia drivers and downloading the latest AMD drivers.....tons of retart and nothing work until I found this video. Thanks so much man. This video is basically an Easy Button. I HAD an issue with a XFX RX 570 card new from Newegg and the card just would not work properly. Now the AMD software opens. This was great!

Didn't trust the BIOS i got from theTechPowerUp Webside. So i keep the BIOS untached. Glad that his simple tool did the job.

Hi - I just installed the latest AMD drivers for RX 580 and when I went in to switch 3D display on in the Settings-Display tab it was above advanced display options as I'm using a 3D monitor to see if the new drivers still worked with the 3D option for when I wanna watch movies anyway as soon as I clicked the slider on it gave me this error message and I can't fix it I tried everything
I have an XFX RX 590 which is showing up as code 43 in windows. I ran the pixel patcher but it still doesn't work. I also reflashed the bios but still get error 43
