Got mine in Australia yesterday. This is an excellent plane! The size is really impressive and the form and fit is second to none. Love its round shape and wings / engine nacelle combo is really amazing. It does come with a EC5 connector so order an adaptor to XC90 or 60. Don't be put off by the installing those scimitar props ... its no big deal and easily achieved like in the video above. It is a big fun beast and a absolute winner. Big grins all round.
Prop tightening, I plan to use blue thread lock and tighten them well. A guy on another video added 6mm lock washers, sounds good, but I like blue thread lock. This of course is with the newer updated prop adapters. I will also do 2 or 3 clear coats of Varathane polyurethane gloss 'water based' as the water based polyurethane won't yellow at all. I used to use Minwax Polycrylic, but switched to the Varathane polyurethane, seems to go on a little easier and also dries fast. Amazing how much better a clear coated foam plane looks, richer colors & decals, protects, easy to wipe off dust & dirt, seals decals, and makes them fly a bit more efficient with a smooth clear coat.
I thankfully had enough cash on hand to pick this up during the last day of the Fall sale! Special EC-1500 window set from Callie Graphics ordered too!
I've been somewhat interested in this airplane, be nice to have my first twin engine. Then today I noticed 'Cyber Week Special' where the bind & fly one was normally $370 temporarily now down to $300 so ordered mine today, along with an EC3 female to EC5 male wired adapter. And with the rock hard foam E-flite tires, will likely replace them with nice soft & quiet Dave Brown "EVA Foam Lite Flight' wheels, maybe also get a bit larger diameter front tires for my AZ desert runways.
Just bought this plane. Great product, but why does the elevator move slow…if at all… it’s making a whining noise as if it bound up. Afraid to fly it due to the elevator moving so slow.
I got the EC 1500v2 PNP version. Can I install a flight controller + 10 channel receiver (CRSF enabled) or this will only work with the Spektrum receiver/ radio? Thanks.
My T.T..has a 14/6 prop.. she stands right up ...with the floats on ,and some chop from lake Erie.. smacking water on take off with prop not to bad.. on calm day. No issues. . My Jessica..!!
To be honest with you that is my least of my worries a prop coming off... Until today...ty..lol..( but you can play it off like it's part of your cargo.."". Yeah I'm parachuting a prop.cuz I lost my other one.. and I'm quite as sensitive about it) ..lol
The Timber X 1.2m is still being sold in both standard and Night versions, and is also available in a UMX version now too: www.horizonhobby.com/search?q=Timber+X&search-button=&lang=default&srule=price-high-to-low&sz=24 And there are some things we can improve on an updated and upgraded version of the EC-1500 ;)
@@Copper_07 The Timber X was never discontinued. We did have to change the receiver it included from the 636 to the 631, but it never stopped being available!
The actual Livery it's designed after does not have full retracts the main gear wheels always stick out the bottom on the real one. Which is pointless to do and will make it overly complicated and more expensive than it already is with people already complaining about the price.
@@FarmerFpv Yes the complainers, they often want lower prices & more features. "No retracts" how will that guy make it through the day being so sad? First world problems!
@@HorizonHobbyProducts I know it can . Just making fun of all of those Scale Snobs on RCG. They all seem to have Panic attacks when a new plane is not 150% SCALE....hahaha

Best E-Flite plane since the original E-Flite Timber, Love this beast!
Better Farmer, because no bottom load battery! Lol! But yeah, this is a must have!
You’re making this really tempting, especially with this Fall sale Jason! 😎
I ended up pulling the trigger last night.
Nice looking and colorful aircraft. Assembly seem to be fairly easy.
Love HH Amazing Aircraft! Need one in my hanger! Soon!
Thanks Jason for the help in assembly of EC-1500!
i know I am quite randomly asking but do anyone know of a good place to watch newly released series online ?
@Eddie Roger flixportal :D
@Junior Jaxon Thank you, signed up and it seems to work :D I really appreciate it!
@Eddie Roger No problem xD
Still 2 weeks before they're available down under. To say I'm excited is an understatement!
I ordered this Jason and I cannot wait to give it a go! 😎

Cant wait for mine to arrive!! I wonder what the max weight of the cargo area is... I have this odd urge to drop a small rc car and chute out of it :P

Would love to see a video of this giant flying. Love the 5-bladed props

Does it accept the GPS module for beginners?
Brilliant. Looks like a flying clown fish though. I'll be spraying mine grey.
you won't be flyin' it on a cloudy day, lol ;)
Make it less visible in the sky, especially when it's a cloudy grey sky.
Ty4sharing... ty for doing all tedious work.. nice job guys
What other props can you put on plane .12/6..

Looks like a C160 Transall (german/french)
Is there a non coloured (white) version available?
can you imagine trying to land on those tiny landing gear? if you've done it, speak up...i want to know how friggin' hard it was, lol
It was no big deal landing, the real concern was ensuring I had enough room in case I went long.
This one is the 3 best plane i have
Hello will 4s 6000mAh - 35C - Gens Ace - EC5 work on this plane
Yes it will!
How do you adjust the elevator actuator?
Are the wing thumb screws plastic or metal? Do they screw into plastic or metal?
The thumbscrews are nylon (strong plastic) and they thread into metal nuts!
E-Flite ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What is the best battery for this plane?
Also would this be good for my first plane?
LiPO 25 c
Did you get it. Cause it is not a good first plane
So damn cool.
Why did this get discontinued so fast? Same with the timber X?

Lit
Does it have snow skies?

OMG if It's not scale i will have a hissssy fit and just die. No more mixed-breed planes for me. Well maybe if it can be hoovered.....
