That's a dedicated animal lover, even if it is just security. I'd happily watch those animals. That wouldn't be work for me. That would be fun. Plus the possible bond you could establish. Honestly I'd love to have a baby lion or tiger. But in that sense, I'd go off grid. Having a lion or tiger, hunting partner....

Those guards are only doing that for the money that they are getting paid. There have often times be cases though of guards actively working together with poachers and turning a blind eye for money.

This is a great video, not just because of angels like Jamie but seeing how young rhinos took to her, shows that we take for granted animals have emotions and intelligence of recognition. The rhinos recognized her and showed playfulness, caring and responded to her and the cat. I wish Jamie and coworkers continued success in protecting animals in their care.

I love seeing these large babies have the zoomies like they are cats, dogs, or horses it's so wonderful to know they are being cared for.
To think someone would kill a rhino for their horn infuriates me. To know someone hit that baby rhino with a machete makes me sick. Knowing that there's rhino security that shoots poachers in the face on sight makes my day. Make poachers extinct.

Make the demand for rhino horns go go extinct. They are considered, like so many animal parts in Chinese medicine, to increase virility, which, of course, they do not. Yet, now rhino horns are being infused with viagra, so it appears to do this mythical act, it's disgusting!

just dev; that's how I feel too. What a cruel world this is for most animals and people on the planet. I was brought up on a farm - because of those experiences I've been vegetarian most of my life and now I'm vegan - I just won't be a part of the cruelty. I have three rescue dogs. If all we right-minded people do our bit it's a slightly better world. Breaks my heart, I'm sure it breaks yours too.

When I was in my 20's I was looking into becoming a poacher hunter in South Africa and a few other countries...there actually are people who hunt POACHERS....it would be the ultimate job for me.

It's really sweet to see how gentle the rhinos are when showing affection to her. They always make sure not to hurt her when they are wanting to lay on her. Also, my cat can't even get along with other cats they'd probably just look at a rhino like "What the f?!"

French Rider unless you grow and eat your own vegetables you are not a vegan. Many animals are killed when crops are harvested. Products such as adhesives, paint, fertilisers, detergents the list goes on all commonly contain animal products. Let alone the production of materials used in furniture and objects all around your home, would have likely attributed to the devastation of animals habitats and eventual deaths. The term Vegan doesn’t exist.

There are entire groups based on bringing justice to animal poachers and most of the time they succeed. I personally am not a big fan of organized religion(more of a spiritual person myself), but that doesn't mean I don't respect others that choose to believe.
If science is what you believe in, then perhaps you should spend some time actually reading the new findings that have been coming out the last bunch of years. Many scientists have said on record that the deeper they delve into the creations of the universe, and what holds everything together, the more they actually become religious and actually believe in a God or God like being.
If you choose not to take the time to educate yourself thats your choice, but just ask yourself why you need to post on some random persons post letting them know that you don't believe in God...Seems a little attention seeking to me.

I agree that religion is used and has been used in horrible ways throughout history to oppress, murder, and inslave many peoples from all over the world, so thats not in question. What I'm simply saying it makes no sense to tell someone that you don't even know that God doesn't exist, and all the other things atheist love to say. If that person believes, it doesn't matter what you, or anybody else says to them will change their minds. Essentially you're wasting your time, and being a bit selfish in the process.
People complain about vegans always pushing their beliefs onto others, this is exactly the same thing.

The most recent data has shown an increase in the White Rhino populations. I think for the 1st time in decades so their defense forces have deterred some poaching. Black Rhino are even more rare and their numbers have not rebounded. It’s Africa 😎

That would be a fantastic idea. Show the world what is happening to all animals there and find a way to protect the animals. They don't have enough money for more guards to protect them, they need more and then someone to find these poachers and destroy every one of them and there buyers!!!

It's wonderful what the Rhino Orphanage does to help these magnificent creatures. it broke my heart to hear that Jamila was hit by a machete by poachers while likely protecting her mom. Seeing the photos of Jamie, Mewie, and Jamila sleeping next to one another was heartwarming.

No one is mentioning WHICH culture buys the rhino horn and why. It’s a group ridiculed for their tiny, soft johnsons. A huge portion of their traditional chin ease medicine is dedicated to trying to rectify their shortcomings.
Just make sure to not do it at the expense of yourself.
Look for a need and fill it.

I love how frisky, bouncy, and agile these rhinos are when they're young. They don't lumber about like dumptrucks. That 4 feet in the air prance is adorable.
I cannot imagine a more fulfilling & blessed way to live than nurturing & caring for animals.

HK It’s also a lot of southeast Asian and African countries also believe that the horns are a traditional medicine of sorts and can heal various ailments (similarly to how sharks are poached for fins, besides for shark fin soup).
