Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen. Can’t stress that enough, especially to young girls. And cut back on anything with fragrance. My nieces are all in their teens, and I buy them all their skincare. One was having a lot of breakouts and I took away all the heavily fragranced products she was using and her skin cleared right up.
Always a pleasure to watch your tutorials which are timeless. There are times I need to watch older videos of yours just for 'revision' to remember things that may be forgotten. Thanks so much, you're really talented
Great video as always Lisa. I know it's old but its timeless. I love your 'less is more' approach and REALLY love that you aren't promoting "what I'm loving at the moment" which translates to "what I'll get paid for promoting". I don't aim to look like I did in my twenties- I am to look my best self for today. I am sure I will be wearing make up and loving it until I'm in my 90's if I am so blessed :)
Great video! I have learned so much from you now. I have realized the past two weeks that I must wear some shadow with my makeup and not go without. I was just so tired of putting on shadow, and I don't like heavy makeup. What I needed was a change--matte shadow and better application.
I own a huge recently purchased within the year variety of eyeshadows with different textures end finishes. I have hooded eyes to begin with and I have all my life. I use the bright shiny foils along my mobile lid. Or I do a Halo eye. I get compliments all the time people constantly mistake me for someone 10 years or more younger and I will continue doing this until I look in the mirror and go oh my God who is that. I do agree that as you get older you actually need to do something on your eyes because everything gets washed out. But I think you can have more fun than you realize. Another great tip that is helped a lot is when I get home from work I actually play with my eye shadows. Testing out different colors that I don't normally use. It's fun and I get a lot of great ideas. I take it all off and then I get to do it all again the next day that's how I keep it fun and I think it shows in the final result.
I started watching you about a year ago and am still working through your films. Love this! As a 41 year old, I need these very specific tips. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise :) xx
Claire McCollum Gleeson. I think it would be the same advice. The video may be old but so am I so nothing has changed. Maybe your thinking of mentioning products that are kind to us. Well I’ve had all the false advice on that that I want to hear. Hah. We know by now what works for our individual needs and that’s what is is, individual. Have fun!
I’m 56 a 5’3 fit petite with bubbly personality and my hooded eyes but still love applying a bit of shimmer on my eyes from time to time. It is fun being sparkly. Very few times but I enjoy it so much when I do then have glitter for two days in & out. Lol! Yeah I avoid a harsh eyeliner in any color I’ll blend the heck out of it. I’m living using the Nyx chubby sticks for eyeliner and eyeshadow easy and quick love the bronze color! Need to collect all! 🤦🏻♀️😍
My mum believes she has completely lost her beauty with age. She has the most beautiful and shiny big eyes. She makes no effort to make them stand out because her eyelids have changed. This video makes me want to do her makeup and bring out her natural beauty again. Thank you Lisa, you really have a solution for everything! x
Thank you so much for this Lisa!! I've been trying to convince my mother, who believes that she cannot wear make up anymore because it makes her look older, that it could do the opposite for her! I'm really hoping to get her to watch your anti aging videos as a way of gently nudging her back into the make up world :)
I love your anti-aging tips! They are most helpful. I first started watching RUclips and was watching Jasmine Hand, and she does beautiful work for 20 year olds, but I am so glad that I found your videos, because I'm 46 and needed to find your videos to make my face look the best for my age. I learned that I had been doing my makeup all wrong. Thank you so much for your videos! You are very beautiful with your makeup done the way you apply it!
Girls : don't feel depressed : I am 62 and I love putting on make up ! I still feel YOUNG ! The only thing that bothers me a bit are my hooded eye lids, I'm thinking about eye surgery !!! This is Marie again in France with her bad school English :-)
oh gee i so agree to that, im a teen, but everytime i see younger pictures of older (relatives, family friends etc.) even if they have quite the wrinkles and natural aging flaws, i see a certain glow that i believe comes from within. i dont know, confidence adds beauty, for me.
@cremalsy cream shadows without too much shimmer are best. The cream texture dries with a healthy finish. I use mac paint pot in Groundwork or the deeper brown shade (cant remember the name now). Alternatively just shade the contour with powder shadow - again a not too glittery one is good. X
Hi, Lisa! I’ve found that spraying a brush with water then barely brushing across a pearl shade helps to create a light wash if it’s buffed out. For lashes, massage castor seed oil on its own or mixed with rosehip seed oil. Rosehip seed oil is also a good way to sheer out heavy foundation and make it glow more by adding a dot to foundation on your hand.
@hannahvrose Mac face and body would be great yes. You might also want a few slightly heavier coverage ones too...or something like a palette of great slick foundations or concealers so you can add more coverage if necessary. Mac F&B is fab but fairly light x
Lovely tips. Watching this now 8 years later..love looking back at what or how eye brows were done ( no microblading partial or full then) You are looking fabulous and look even young and better now! We keep learning as we age what suits us.mso I think theres a period where women just don't age I.e 10 to 15 years as we've finally learnt what suits us! Best wishes for 2019 Lisa
Loved your quick makeup look for aging skin. Can you please do a full makeup look for us in our 50’s and 60’s with...dark circles, hooded eyes, textured skin (cannot wear highlighter’s) and evening powder can really show loads of texture. Thin lips and thin eyebrows. Thank you Lisa! Help!
Thank you for being the only, THE ONLY, makeup guru who seems to be able to offer HELPFUL anti-aging tips. This video was so, so helpful. Thank you. :)
I used to turn so many heads when I was younger and kind of hated it as I was very shy and insecure by then. Now, I am 60 and have kept my size 8 figure, take care of my hair and wear subtle makeup and wear nice clothes no one ever gives me a glance. It is like I have become invisible and that is depressing. Getting old sucks and no one can persuade me otherwise.
Skygazer I found out at 40 I wasn't getting the attention at doctors I did before. Socially my 40s were great. I just went 65 and I wish I had the money for a little laser, filler and some work because I don't like being treated like I'm nothing and of no interest. Yes you disappear as you age. I don't understand it.
I know exactly what you mean. I still get a few head turns. I'm 58 years old. Nothing like what I used to, when I was younger. For years when I was younger, I didn't realize, the comments and head turns were for me. When I finally figured it out, I was so shy,and embarrassed.
I'm 19 ... It's easy to say and than do .. but you beautiful Ladies have lived your life beautifully . I don't know if I'm intruding but i just wanted to say... I'm an engineering student in India .. we have so much pressure that..i feel like I've spent my teens stressing over dead lines... Having satisfaction in how you have lived your life and keeping your opinion about yourself as top priority has made me a lot Happier . I'm also shy and get a lot of head turns .. but my days started and ended with being self conscious. Because whenever they look i used to think oh they definitely hate me and might be thinking what the hell is she wearing. Then Mom told me head turns should never be of importance but just to ease you now... Your confidence in your stupid clothes is more pleasant than you dressing up well and still feeling insecure . And she was right .. she's in her 40s and is charmer even when she doesn't try hard . And what people like about her more than anything else is her confidence . So please love yourself ma'am . And I'm sorry if i intruded .
May I ask what you mean with "nice clothes"? I work withvwomen of different age and one of the power strategies to stay visible is to wear bright colours, colours which fit you and don't be too nice and appropriate. Do you know Ari Seth Cohens Blog and books "Advanced Style? You can find there a lot of inspiration, many pictures show quite selfconfident and "loud" styles but maye you can get hints of colour combinations, using make-up, etc. If you are interested to gain more attraction in a good way, I would be happy to help you with my style ideas. Best wishes from Frau Jona&Son.
Jane Hibberd and Skygazer. I’m 61. All my life I had a very dark brown pixie, I have to wear my hair short because my face gets lost if it’s below my ears🤷🏻♀️. I colored my hair in my 40s-50s. One day when I blow drying my hair and all the roots were showing I noticed what a shiny silver was peeping through. I decided at 60 to stop dying my hair in January 2018 and by September 2018 my hair is grown out. It’s a beautiful charcoal around my face and light sparkling silver around my crown. I absolutely love it. It looks awesome with my skin tone (medium olive cool) when I began my transition I beefed up my skin care and started to wear makeup. I have never gotten as many compliments as I do now. I’ve been asked if I go to a doctor and get procedures done to my face because my skin glows. I get compliments all the time from both men and women. I do style my hair, it sort of elevated layered bob because I have to have short hair in the back. It’s just fabulous having my natural hair because it’s so complimentary. The other day I tried on a black wig and it looked horrible, my skin looked older. Even though I have nearly black hair, it being mixed with white softens my face. I know how difficult it is for women to transition to natural because you think you’re letting yourself go but that’s not true. If you take care of your skin and body, wear makeup and get a great hairstyle you will look beautiful. Just search RUclips for transitioning to gray, or silver is the new blonde to see some really beautiful women with natural hair and they don’t look frumpy. I feel like a new woman and I’m so glad I tried it. If you don’t like it you can always dye it.
Amazing video Lisa! You are giving me lots of hope at being 63. Even though I'm watching older videos of yours, your teaching techniques are the best. 😀😎💄
I love watching your videos...Im 25 and I just feel your videos are packed with USEFUL tips and knowledge...I always learn something new watching your vids && definitely helps me in my career as a freelance MUA...
she is the best beauty GURU EVER!!!! michelle phan, all that glitters , dulce candy are all really good but LISA ELDRIDGE is the best. very professional, classy, lovely accent, her instructions are extremely clear and precise and her tips are so helpful... I can go on and on but in one word : AMAZING ! LOVE HER. XD
Emma Chase I found the same thing. There are tons of good mascaras. My lashes thinned. I tried False Lash from Alcone which are fibers you put on mascara and then put another layer of mascara on top. It worked a charm when I was younger. Like uou I found the best thing was lash primer. Can I ask what brand you use? So far the one that's worked best is Estée Lauder but I don't like company. Have you found another?
@monocotoleydon yes it's definitely about addressing the individuals needs...shading and contouring will not be good for your mom. Light shades on her lid will work better along with a fresh rosy blush with a little shimmer on the apple of her cheeks will highlight and give the illusion of plumper cheeks.
This vide made me happier. I've had hooded eyes all my life and it took me 10years to find the right place to put my crease color. The reason why it makes me happy is that I'll never be sad because I would lose my socketline :), I've never really had it. Just a random thought that popped into my mind.
I got the attention! I’m a senior and I have my own video❤️❤️. Yay! My instincts sound correct as I listen to you. What really boosted me was your approval, It gave me confidence and that comes from few and far between. Lord but I avoid the 18 year old (smothered in layers) clerks. They’ll sell you anything and it’s usually bizarre on older women. The confidence-lift given is so needed because we’ve all seen the sweetheart lady with a clown like feature and we so want to say something but dare not for fear of hurting her. My issues are the lack of grey pencils as my hair is silver/white/grey & brown. My eyes and brows need the softer lines that grey can give. Lips are tough cuz we older ladies seem to have memorized colors that no longer apply and we keep making that mistake. The cheeks have moved, lol, and there is less surface area for blush and all those eyeshadow pallets have colors and sparkle which makes them useless. You would think the cosmetic industry would cater as much to the ladies with a few extra dollars. Thank you for the re-enforcement. I’m not wrong, the clerk is! Thank you. I’ll be saving this one for a long long time.❤️
Lisa: Funnily enough, how I applied my makeup before wasn't giving me the look I want. Had to change foundation 2.( 50 this yr.) I tried your tip: smudging eyeliner into base of the eyelashes and it looks so much better. Ur tips r so helpful for those of us w the age factor: eye shadows, lip colors. Personally, I like the "natural" look too.LOVE the French look and am going to scout for that perfect red lipstick. Canadian viewer who loves your videos, tips and tricks!
Thank you so much for this very helpful video!! There are too little makeup tutorials or tips for mature skin on youtube, although it´s one of the most important fields of (beauty) makeup IMO. Hopefully you do more videos about this topic in the future (maybe a full tutorial or recommendations for different mature skin-/ colour types). It´s really an honour that you share your talent and knowledge with us!
@Tyllegirl the one in my video doesnt contain cinnamon or peppermint (which is why I like it). Like you, I dont like the ones that tingle like crazy because of the allergen affect. The fusion beauty one also contains titanium dioxide...its very good
Thanks so much for taking the time to make these videos to educate everyone. I love your videos. I have learned so much watching them. You are so beautiful and natural looking! Happy Holidays!
I am now in my mid 50's and my eyebrows are still super thick and dark (like Brooke Shields Blue Lagoon thick) I have such a hard time keeping them looking natural without the over plucked look..I try to have them done professionally once a month but sometimes I just do not have the time..I just want to say thank you for these tips which has really helped with my brows..
Lisa, you can use cinnamon bark oil to plump your lips, just use very small amount because it is a bit strong, it is 100% natural and you can also add a few drops in your lip gloss and you can even apply it over your lipstick and still get a plumping affect. Thank you for this video. You are Beautiful indeed.
I also like Rae Morris, she's an Australian makeup artist she has a few videos on YT but her basic eyeshadow philosophy applied to all ages and she has a book called Timeless Makeup which is good for anyone older and that's moi!!
Great video. Please could you let me know the name of the Bobbi Brown eyeshadow you use in it as it does not show up in your list of products. I use one with a shimmer in it and I'm not sure whether it would be better matt. Also if you have small, older eyes do you have any suggestions to define and enlarge - tall order I know!
I have watched this 5 or 6 times and I just figured out that when Lisa talks about eye makeup color "car key" she means KHAKI. 😂 #queensenglish #murica
@@ocandro In American English, "khaki" rhymes with "tacky." So "khaki" and "car key" would be pronounced very differently and would never be mistaken for each other, both because of the different "A" sounds and because we pronounce "car" with a very prominent "R".
Haha my mum missed out on makeup when she was younger, because she had such bad eye sight. Now she’s had laser eye surgery, she’s making up for lost time.
Wonderful! Lisa there are some great tips here for us mature women. I'm never quite sure exactly where to put blusher... one person said apple of cheeks...another said...no thats too low...help I have a good idea! .. I'll come to you and be your model...for a mature make up tutorial.......!!!! thank you for these videos Lisa Diana
I'm not sure you'll see this but wanted to share. Another guru gave a great tut on contouring, basically a lot of different colored foundations & concealors. It looked great on me until I went outside. Oh my, the caking, the oil buildup, the PORES! I thought I could run my errands but alas, I was too embarassed. At that moment i remembered, "Lisa said to keep it thin". Washed my face. Kept it thin & light ...I was transformed. THANK YOU.
Very practical and informative. I have enjoyed watching all your videos. I must say, that you look positively angelic and younger before you put on your mascara and lipstick. Love that clean look.
I just turned 41 and couldn't figure out why my brows were looking too dark all of a sudden even though I have always used dark brown not black! I figured it out on accident. I was using a brown that was way too dark and rich. I had to actually use a more ashy brown, it was lighter and way more realistic, less harsh. Aging 🤷🏿♀️
You have such a lovely presenting style, your vids are a joy to watch and very helpful they are too. I find Bobbi Brown have some great ashy browns that are great for eyebrow filling. Didn't know The Body Shop did an eyebrow kit, will check that out. Thanks Lisa.
LOVED this - so helpful, especially about the lip colours. Thanks so much. I would love more info on brows though - mine are awful and sticking out now! What am I supposed to do - trim them? I used to love my brows and now I hate them.
This video has helped me so much as my mum has been trying to find makeup that will make her look younger.. She looks to me for inspiration as we are very similar and now I can teach her thanks to you! Thank you!!
@ Lisa: i am going to Inglot this saturday to pick up some make up for my mom, she is 47 years old and very uneasy about chosing her colours. Your advice on flattering eye shadows has been very very helpful. Thank you! I have also passed her all your videos about anti-aging make up to make her look 10 years younger :) She appreciates them a lot. I am suppose to pass you her thanks ;) Cheers!
I'm amazed at how easy it seems to be...I wasn't far off with my colours. although after watching your videos I think I may chance a cheeky go at the more vibrant colours..as I get older (40) I'm not as shy as I once was and getting the odd look now and again doesn't really bother me. I have to say though that I totally get the foundation video in so much as having an epic amount of wrong shades! Finally getting it right was a 'light bulb' moment haha Thanks for all your help :) x
Thank you for your amazing makeup show, Lisa. My eye area get wrinkled when I use eye shadows and I really don't like it. I put moisturazer around my eyes but still get wrinkled. I am 45 years old. Do you know why?
lisa I bought the gentle cream exfoliant u recommended, didn't like it though, it made my skin look slightly bleached :( . just fyi , still love you !!
omg this video is the bomb, love love love. i wont say my age but i'm losing volume so much already from my lips. really need to get that product. would also love your thoughts and recommendation for eye concealer and cheek highlighter. dont highligther highlght the crow's feet? xx thank you so so much. i always need to pinch myself that someone like you, you know who's been on tv in 10 years youngers and stuff has got time for us xx thanks a million for what u do, xx
MAC do some in the cool, ashy range which are very nice. Also elf makes a great brow kit in nice colors. Personally, I love the wax/powder combo over a pencil. Unless you really know what you are doing, a brow pencil can look harsh or over done. Good luck.
I'm American and I can understand Lisa's English more easily than the other RUclips gurus from the UK. I'm not sure why, but Lisa just sounds like a proper teacher, whereas the others sound like they have some sort of regional accents.
You are so absolutely stunning!! Thank you so much for your tutorials and basic videos. I've been shopping around for Christmas gifts for my girlfriend and your videos have helped guide me along this process :D
Hi, I'll love to have some advice about make-up over pigmented skin because, like u said in the last video, it makes you look older thatn wtinkles. I'm 27 and (thank God) I don't have deep expression lines, but OMG i have soooo many moles and freckes!! I live in Ecuador, the sun hit us perpendiculary, and for me is like summer all year long, my sking gets irritated with any sunblock, and i've tryed plenty, tell me something i can use for sensitive skin plz. Thank u
Though I feel genetically lucky to be aging well, I regret that I wasn’t into eye makeup when I was young and the skin around my eyes was much firmer. I just couldn’t be bothered. By the way, I love using shimmer shadows, even those with a lot of shimmer. I’m just careful as to where I put them, meaning not in the crease. I think the shimmer adds a little sparkle and brightness to my eyes.
I love all her make up tutorials. I would have liked to see this one on a model rather than herself. There are so many ladies in their 60 and 70ties who would like to see it and need your help.
Would you be able to tell me what shade you're using as a crease colour in this video please? It's in your Bobbi Brown customisable palette and the shade you used is in the lower middle of it. Thought I'd order it online, but a bit hard to see which one it could be. Hope you can help. PS! Thank you for all your helpful tips and great videos, love watching them all!!
❤️😍I love Mac makeup tutorials very much because I am a girly girl at heart and love trying out various makeup products from time to time girlfriend ♥️😂
I adore your technique and helpful tips, always has classic elegance to it. *side note at the end of the video (9:54) the finished look reminds me of Natalie Portman.
Fabulous video. I'd figured out my face was falling and I needed to re-do make up. One problem I haven't seen addressed is the outer part of the lip is turning down. This makes me look angry. People have treated me differently. I've tried light yellow concealer, highlighters at the bottom outer edge. Failure! People address under eye circles, naso labial lines and all manner of things. But I don't want to look angry when I'm not. HELP
Hey Lisa! I love your videos! I have a question. I am 21 years old. And I think it's time for me to start taking care of my skin more seriously. I use makeup every single day, I don't use cheap products, and I do take care of my skin, but I am kind of worried of pre-aging. Do you have any advice or tip, for me, how to take care of my skin, and not get wrinkles sooner than I'm supposed to. Thank you! Kat
You are truly beautiful. And funny, love the quirk bout dead bodies colors. I've been using all your tips and although I'm only 30 everyone says i look 22. thank you so much for your wonderful advice.
can you make reviews on some cosmetics? like which mascaras are good, foundations, powder, blushes, eyeliners, or lipsticks. or can you please do a like a comparison on some cosmetics?
I'm struck by the number of recent comments on this older video... Your videos are timeless, because you're showing us techniques, not just specific products! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and inspiring us.
It's incredible that she shares her knowledge with us for free. Sometimes I think it's as if Max Factor or Kevin Aucoin had a RUclips channel.
Totally agree-we're very lucky

Do I have to use sunscreen in winter? We hardly see any sun for weeks.
Ellie Robin Ti the sun/uv rays are always present, even though it’s cloudy, so it’s recommended to use year round 🙂
HELP!!! I'm 72 and still love to make-up....Lisa...your the best!
Janet Mann I'm 70 and I agree! Not ready to throw in the towel yet are we dear!!!🤗❤️🙋
Ahh..finally! It’s been 10 years and I will now apply this information to mah face 🤣
Life's irony 😅😊

I was surprised to learn this video is 8 years old! I does not seem dated at all!

Lisa a Smokey eye with more of a full look in your 50’s and 60’s?
Plus a skincare video that you recommend today for seniors. Thank you Lisa.
I started watching you about a year ago and am still working through your films. Love this! As a 41 year old, I need these very specific tips. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise :) xx
ME . 41? Omg, your young. Maybe those techniques look better on you but it’s not because your old! 41😳?
Be good to see updated version of this !
Claire McCollum Gleeson. I think it would be the same advice. The video may be old but so am I so nothing has changed. Maybe your thinking of mentioning products that are kind to us. Skygazer such beauty cannot fade away. You much be still making hearts flutter .

Me too. A young boyfriend really helps too
... try simple tightening skin oils ♡ ⭐️✌🏻
Marie I use nuface microcurrent to help my hooded eyelids
Marie. 65 and getting back into wearing makeup
Ton anglais est parfait :)
oh gee i so agree to that, im a teen, but everytime i see younger pictures of older (relatives, family friends etc.) even if they have quite the wrinkles and natural aging flaws, i see a certain glow that i believe comes from within. i dont know, confidence adds beauty, for me.
FemmePistolera spot on!
You give such good advices. You have by far the best make-up tutorial channel on RUclips.
Dear Lisa, you are absolutely BRILLIANT! Thank you!
Lisa E really does know the older woman! She knows we want to look good & gives great advice so thank you 💄xx
Love, love, love these anti aging videos. Thank you so much for sharing!!
Help!
I am 59 and love make up and looking my best, I plan to being glamour for all my life
Thank you for being the only, THE ONLY, makeup guru who seems to be able to offer HELPFUL anti-aging tips.
I love watching your videos...Im 25 and I just feel your videos are packed with USEFUL tips and knowledge...I always learn something new watching your vids && definitely helps me in my career as a freelance MUA...
she is the best beauty GURU EVER!!!!
michelle phan, all that glitters , dulce candy are all really good but LISA ELDRIDGE is the best.
very professional, classy, lovely accent,
her instructions are extremely clear and precise and her tips are so helpful... I can go on and on but in one word : AMAZING ! LOVE HER. XD
Lash primer is another good product. It really kicks things up a level.
You look luminous! Gorgeous. I love what you've done with your eyes.
Short and complete. Fantastic video! Close to 2 Mill subs. Congratulations, guy!!!!😍
Just a random thought that popped into my mind.
these videos are so informative! really appreciate the way lisa presents information.
I got the attention! I’m a senior and I have my own video❤️❤️. Yay!
My instincts sound correct as I listen to you. What really boosted me was your approval,
It gave me confidence and that comes from few and far between.
Really interesting. I love doing my Mum's make up. So now I know some handy tips and tricks to make it look alot nicer! Thanks Lisa!
You are an adorable daughter
@CuteTinyDancer yes there is a full product list on my website with links too. See the link to my site underneath the video x
I trim mine. They will actually stay in place better when trimmed properly. Plucking for shape is just not enough as you get older
INCREDIBLY helpful! Thank you Lisa!
Lisa, you can use cinnamon bark oil to plump your lips, just use very small amount because it is a bit strong, it is 100% natural and you can also add a few drops in your lip gloss and you can even apply it over your lipstick and still get a plumping affect. Thank you for this video. You are Beautiful indeed.
incredibly helpful video! i wish more youtubers would make videos like this! xXx
Lovely and very helpful. Would you use a slightly heavier hand with these eye tips for someone who has to wear glasses?
Hello from Spain
Thank you very mucho! It s true: natural makeup makes you look younger. You are so kind and beautiful!,🥰💕
Very helpful and inspiring. Greatly appreciated, fun and kind of easy
great video w/super tips! and wow, your lipstick palette is amazing!! Thanks for such an informative video Lisa!
thanks for being so encouraging over GETTING OLD
I have watched this 5 or 6 times and I just figured out that when Lisa talks about eye makeup color "car key" she means KHAKI. 😂
#queensenglish #murica
I was thinking that too. Car key, like a bronzey color? Lol.
How 'bout "aubergine"? I think that's "eggplant" in 'muricanese.
I'm neither English nor American and I never understand the pronunciation drama around khaki? How else can you pronounce it?
@@ocandro In American English, "khaki" rhymes with "tacky." So "khaki" and "car key" would be pronounced very differently and would never be mistaken for each other, both because of the different "A" sounds and because we pronounce "car" with a very prominent "R".
Rachel Grubbs I'm Australian, I also say "car-key". Cacky here means Popeyes, caykey means like cake
I LOVE you videos so much, and as a 56 year old, this one was particularly helpful. Thank you, Lisa.
You know, nobody mentions the damn fact that you just can't see to put the blessed stuff on! lol
deborah bell ha ha ! So true
deborah bell I LOVE THIS COMMENT! I hate not being able to see while doing my eye makeup.
We need a Video about that
Haha my mum missed out on makeup when she was younger, because she had such bad eye sight. Now she’s had laser eye surgery, she’s making up for lost time.
Magnifying mirror...
Wonderful!
Lisa there are some great tips here for us mature women. I'm never quite sure exactly where to put blusher... one person said apple of cheeks...another said...no thats too low...help
I have a good idea! .. I'll come to you and be your model...for a mature make up tutorial.......!!!!
thank you for these videos Lisa
Diana
hi lisa
i wondered if you could do a video on your all time favourite mascaras, liners, blushes or the ones you regret buying. it would be amazing
THANK YOU.
58 here...YES! And yes again!!!
@polyester1000 oh i'm sorry to hear that...did you try using it for just a few minutes? I guess its such an individual thing x
Aging 🤷🏿♀️
Thank you for this video for us mature women who still love wearing makeup.
I used to love my brows and now I hate them.
great video, i'm 21 but your kind of videos is very educating and nice to watch. Thanks for the tips.
Finally getting it right was a 'light bulb' moment haha Thanks for all your help :) x
love this mascara !! nobody ever talk about it on YT !! thanks for your great videos !! regards from Belgium !
Thank you for your amazing makeup show, Lisa. My eye area get wrinkled when I use eye shadows and I really don't like it. I put moisturazer around my eyes but still get wrinkled. I am 45 years old. Do you know why?
Same here, at 62, skin is very textured, probably dehydrated and not enough collagen anymore. Nothing really helps.
lisa I bought the gentle cream exfoliant u recommended, didn't like it though, it made my skin look slightly bleached :( . just fyi , still love you !!
omg this video is the bomb, love love love. i wont say my age but i'm losing volume so much already from my lips. really need to get that product. would also love your thoughts and recommendation for eye concealer and cheek highlighter. dont highligther highlght the crow's feet? xx thank you so so much. i always need to pinch myself that someone like you, you know who's been on tv in 10 years youngers and stuff has got time for us xx thanks a million for what u do, xx
MAC do some in the cool, ashy range which are very nice. Also elf makes a great brow kit in nice colors. Personally, I love the wax/powder combo over a pencil. Unless you really know what you are doing, a brow pencil can look harsh or over done. Good luck.
@Tyllegirl yes that works a treat!! nice tip x
It is just me or Lisa looks younger and younger over time. Amazing!!!
Lisa, can you please update this or make a more recent video with more tips for girls in their 40's? 🙂 Thank you!
Yes. Shimmer in the inner corner (only very very slightly in towards nose) changes my entire eye look.
I love all her make up tutorials. I would have liked to see this one on a model rather than herself. There are so many ladies in their 60 and 70ties who would like to see it and need your help.
Can you do a vid on what lipsticks you have in that palette you are holding? I am so curious. Most of those colors look amazing.
HELP
I know what you mean. I stop short before the downward and smile!
Thank you! Kat
do you do/recommend facial exercises to stop muscles on the face getting slack? would love to hear your thoughts... great video
You are truly beautiful. And funny, love the quirk bout dead bodies colors. I've been using all your tips and although I'm only 30 everyone says i look 22. thank you so much for your wonderful advice.
Love this, but not giving up my bold eyeshadow colors. (Not at 44...maybe later!)
44....you are still a kid! Enjoy being young!
Emily Rachel Gilley I’m 44 now and had no idea I’m supposed to put down my bold colors 😕
Emily Rachel Gilley. 44? Your not old enough! Have fun!
can you make reviews on some cosmetics? like which mascaras are good, foundations, powder, blushes, eyeliners, or lipsticks.
or can you please do a like a comparison on some cosmetics?
