- Review on my Canon R50 after owning it for a little over a month now. Been shooting photos and videos daily on this camera ever since I got it, here's what I think!

The trick to save your battery is turn on airplane mode so your camera isn't constantly waiting for wifi/bluetooth connections. That will increase your battery life!
That's a good tip!
For portability, small body cameras are great. Let me tell you, when you just wanna go for a photo walk, carying a FF camera body and a zoom lens gets really old really quick.
That's a great first mirrorless. I had to buy a 2nd R50 because my partner wanted mine. It's a great B-cam to my R6.
nice review. I have been looking and I haven't been able to find a single video on the R50 showing how to set white balance for a custom white balance off a grey card. I seen a really good short on the R10. I'm hoping it is the same on the R50 but no proof yet. Maybe if you get a chance you could make a short video showing how it's done on your R50. Just an idea. Thanks
Kay, I just got a 18 to 200mm lens F4.6 to F6.0. So far, used it for a week. I like the range. From wide angle to medium telephoto.
Wow that's a good zoom range! I've been looking into the new Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 that they just released for APSC Canon RF mount. I really want a large aperture F2.8. Unfortunately I don't have the money to spend on one yet
Good review
If you get a small rig cage it will make it a little more comfortable to grip.
Also a professional photographer once told me, its not the lense that makes a great photo, its the photographer that makes a great photo. What he meant is that a skilled photographer can take a better quality photo with a cheap lense then an amateur photographer using an expensive lense.
Tilta makes a grip extension bracket specifically for R50. Cost me $20. Helps a lot with holding and protects it
I'll check it out!
What is your camera lenght in total please? I mean with the R50 body + 18-150mm lens (closed to 18mm) + JJC lens hood (from the viewfinder to the end of the lens hood)? I am looking for the camera bag with correct lenght, but not too big. Thanks!
From the main camera body to the end of the lens hood looks like it's exactly 6 inches. From the viewfinder to the lens hood is exactly 6.5 inches
@@thekaydubz Thank you 🙂
How much did you sell your 18-45 for?
I think for $80 because I was impatient haha. They around $90-130 on ebay
@thekaydubz okay yeah I'm on the same boat need to sell my kit lens.
I prefer to use my Canon EOS 5D mark IV over my R50
Battery is good, fake info here, 4-5 days for me
There is no fake info, it all depends on how you use it and what for haha
Nope, try couple of hours. I have few cheap back up batteries. Also a usb- c PD charger
