I have the T-line and a much older Brompton from 2001. The problem with rolling the T is that when you tilt back the bike to roll, the suspension block often scrapes against the ground especially on even the slightest uneven surface such as expansion cracks on concrete. The solution is to enlarge the rolling wheels from the existing 65mm to 75mm. Hopefully Brompton will do that in the future.

Is there a way to upgrade A/C models to do this?

      Yeah, a $/€/£ 5 strap.

The three-wheel configuration in rolling mode never worked properly. It shall be redesigned to make it useful, meaning no need to install the back side rack with the four wheels.

I find that by not lowering the seat enough it is uncomfortable to carry the bike as in the video, up a staircase.
Lower the seat more and it becomes easier.
I have had a 6speed black edition since 2018 and a P line 4 speed on order for January 2023 for the better half, and I’m more excited than she is as I tested this bike at a store and it is delicious to say the least…Cannot wait!

Hey Brompton, how about a black Ti rack for the T line for us travelers?

Still too low for most people to roll that’s why they use that small girl in the video

Just get a bit of Velcro and tape the wheel to the frame. Then you can have the saddle at any height.

My back mudguard is rattling…I have a P Line.
I also have a Black edition of which I removed the mudguards. Now it sounds better.
If I do the same with the P Line, will it still be able to roll in the position that you show in your image of this video?
Paying so much for a Brompton to have cheap plastic mudguards rattle does not appear to be very good, sad to say.
Apart for that, an excellent bike and ride always.

No the seat post needs to be down on the C Line to stop the bike unfolding

@@bromptonbicycle Yes, but Advance Rear Frame Locking Block is $13 on the Brompton website. Will this work for the C Line if I buy the $13 part?

can I still roll the T-line with the handle bar as I do with the C line? that way I can use the bike and its front bag as a shopping cart... The saleman said I cannot do that but I see no reason why that's not okay?

    • @mikstratok
      @mikstratok Год назад +1

I think the problem is that rolling via the handle bar means rolling on the mudgard wheel, which is not nearly good enough for that, this is obviously not an issue ig you have the rear roller rack

  • @MushuuDeChanel

And how can I fold it the old way? So that the saddle moves all the way down? Asking for a friend.

    • @bromptonbicycle

You should just be able to move the saddle fully down and lift the bike if needed

Yeah, agreed. It’s really unstable rolled like this I’ve found. God knows when the rack’s going to be available though - no one seems to know!

@@Me_and_My_B apparently not. I think the P and the T will have the same one?

@@cheesescientist I just noticed that Brompton P Line is now available with 'Roller Frame' option, which adds another 210g and £80 to the bike. Brilliant Bikes UK has the part available for sale and lists it as Brompton Advance Roller Frame Assembly, compatible with both P and T Line. It reminds me of my Ti Parts Workshop Titanium Carbon Rear Rack (280mm 138g), in that it will definitely help with rolling, but not as functional when used as a rack.

totally don't need it, unless you are touring. the front luggage has good capacity. it does improve the maneuvering while folded, at the expense of weight and cost.

I've been riding this bike for about a month ruclips.net/user/postUgkxwC0IIeIomGQVeBWg-kKJaToZkLEFIA2W and a half now and I think it's fantastic. It helps me get to work on time every day since I'm able to fit it inside of public transportation rush hour. The price is great too, people are always shocked when they ask me how much I paid for the fold up and I tell them "200". It's easy to fold and installation when it ships is insanely easy. All you have to install when the bike arrives is one foot pedal, everything else is done for you. I do recommend you carry some sort of wrench to tighten any loose screws on the handle bar and seat whenever they get a little bit loose. Other than that I think it's a fantastic bike. Easily fits in the home, can fit inside a car trunk and can even fit in subway rush hour.
