    Excellent video. Clearly stated and a clear demonstration. Hannah makes an important point. It's not rocket science, her instructions make the whole process very understandable. I don't use my torque wrench to install or remove fasteners. I use a regular wrench for that. I only use my torque wrench to check the final tightening of a nut or bolt.

    Hopefully Brompton will be persuaded to make a similar nice lightweight rack for classic Bromptons, rather than let third parties get the custom, it seems very surprising that they didn't develop them in parallel...

    Hi dear lady and bless you for your very helpful videos. Thanks to this one, I got my advance roller rack installed onto my C Line Electric in no time the other day. However, I have a question and you may be able to help. As we know, this model has front and rear wired pre-installed dynamo lighting and in order to install the rack I had to remove the rear reflector light and temporarily tape the wire. Therefore, is there an adapter mount available that could allow me to re-install that light at the same place or does it now have to be a different option, perhaps the rear battery lamp and replace the basic reflector that the rack came with? Hope my question makes sense. Thank you.

      Thanks for watching - and the comment
      With the introduction of the T Line and P line came a new rear end ... this rear triangle is actually compatible with the main frame on earlier models, but the parts on the new rear are not compatible with the old rear (e.g. the suspension block is different, the new triangle accepts the 4 speed derailleur whereas the old triangle accepts the 2 speed derailleur)
      The newest Brompton Electric (4 and 12 speed) also uses the new rear triangle - only in steel instead of the titanium version used on the P/T Lines - but the frame is the same

    It is better not to use your torque wrench as a general wrench to undo and tighten bolts. Only use it for torquing up bolts so it doesn’t prematurely fall out if calibration.

  • @peterjamesrichards3774

    Very happy to see this, after searching for comments on the rack. I wonder if you could answer this, I would take the p-line on an off the train daily and I'm not sure the mudguard is up to the constant pressure on an off it. On my old Brompton I had a rack, but it was a weight so now I'm stuck between two worlds, even with this rack being so little in weight. The other thing, you have the S handlebars on it which look wicked, how was that ridding after a couple of miles for your back and arms? Any ideas

    • @brilliantbikes
      @brilliantbikes  Год назад

      Brompton are normally really good at product testing, so I expect / hope the mudguards will last!
      The Low bars I find comfortable, but I’m short (5 ft 6) so it’s not too low for me. The best is to take one for a test ride 😀

      C line rack is 3 lbs & this P line rack is about 6 oz ( check out the weight difference on Brompton website, P line)
      Of course the C line rack look stronger ( not sure the weight capacity ) but overall - the load I carry is no more than maximum capacity, say 10 kg. I would prefer to have this P rack (max 10 kg ?) on my C line.
