My problem with "Human Hecarim" is that I can't imagine him properly in the Stories, we have his look, but I ALWAYS IMAGINE HIM ON THE HORSE, he's going to visit Kalista in Prison, boom, he's on the Horse, he's going to meet the Viego in the Royal Court, Boom, he enters the Court riding on the Horse, he goes to the Bathroom, Boom, he inside the Bathroom, still riding on a horse

Note: In the redesign, the horse skull moves because Hecarim wants to freak people out. The horse is dead, because he killed the horse's consciousness, cause Hecarim likes killing things lol
I think the reason they make Hecarim a good guy in most of his Skins is cause Horses have a lot of positive simbolism attached to them expressing values like Nobility, Courage, Freedom and Heroism so there might be some inate Bias when comming up with concepts for him.
Especially that his weapon doesn't look like a killer would use too. In different terms I mean
he seems like a soldier more than a killer
I finally finished reading the Ruination novel this month and human Hecarim is so charismatic that even though I knew what he would do he still managed to get me to question if he was really that bad. The love triangle between him Kalista and Ledros was very entertaining.
I really want more novels like ruination but I suspect Riot probably isn't in a rush to make more

@@Nickw2004 well, not exactly a love triangle. Hecarim and Kalista are betrothed to each other, but Kalista and Ledros (who is low class) are actually in love despite their best efforts
I didn't even think he was *that* evil in the book. He was actually right that Viego was a terrible king, he did have a strong claim, and he didn't even make a move when I feel he could have successfully done so multiple times.
By the end, even the wise royal advisor Necrit believed the king had to go and that Hecarim's usurpation was the best choice for the kingdom, and helped orchestrate it.
His ultimate evil was that he was a pompous upper class asshole soldier, but the entire Camavoran culture promoted that as an ideal. He wasn't even a raging jealous POS with Kalista from what I remember, they both knew their betrothal was business and weren't invested in it.
Raiding the Blessed Isles was obviously morally wrong, but the power and riches they would have returned with would likely secure the realm after Viego's insanity. If the Ruination hadn't happened, he would very probably have gone on to be an incredibly popular king.

See with that in mind, one would expect something like Ludwig the Accursed. Not just.....spooky centaur.

For every time Riot makes Morgana villainous in her skins they have to give Hecarim a skin where he's a good guy I guess
I feel like a rework could be interesting, make him more lean/imaciated and maybe leave the centaur angle behind in favor of a Nucklavee direction wich could do a lot for making him feel more like he was..... Fused to his horse....
Also the fact that they are linked to water could be fun since the mists do have a ocean association just because they come from a island so they cross the ocean. There's something there.
World of Quest was such a goated show, the family guy of He-Man. It’s no adventure time but still a good watch imo.

Hecarim really reminds me of Kharn the betrayer from 40k. He kills indiscriminately because he loves it, he is the favored right hand of a larger threat but is a nightmare all his own. On top of that he is known as the betrayer because he kills so indiscriminately he often kills his own soldiers.

Damn you Nicholas Boy! That World of Quest reference made me cringe into the ethereal planes and back. Late 2000s/early 2010s TV shows are the bane of my existence. Once I remember the main theme of one of them, all of the others flood my brain and can't forget it for weeks.

The problem with hecarim and other movement speed styles is that in the right hands it's impossible to play against cause they can just outrun all abilities.
I was not expecting anyone to bring up The Adventures of Quest ever. That show was freaking weird... but in a kinda cool way.

The viewers version of hecarim doesn't only make the horse make more sense. It also makes hecarim look way more camavoran! The armor design is more in line with LoR Camavor and Kalista!

Body horror Hecarim idea: horsehead is there, but also the centaur/human upper body. The human body just sits on the other end of the horse. like a bi-directional centaur. it would be so dumb

If you want to get some ideas on the whole "horse and man fusion body horror" thing, look no further than Ludwig the Accursed from Bloodborne.
I prefer the heavy armored looking hecarim more since I go with his theme of charging like a knight into the fray of battle.

Imo, Hecarim concept is cool, a centaur with something that is not a bow is always welcome, the whole idea man and horse fusion menace killing machine stuff is interesting but he is undercooked, his design is literaly ghostly armor from transilvania but on a horse wich i think is sad given that since he is a fusion abomination you could go nuts with the fucking fusion... and his skills... i love champions with move speed but rammus does a better job on mashing the keyboard... and nunu is faster with his snowball - takes longer to reach peak and lasts longer but yeah - Overall Hecarim for me is a solid champion, just needs a little more love.

Imo the head looks a little too much like Thresh. Hecarim and Thresh have nothing to do with each other besides both being from the Shadow Isles so it doesn't really make much sense

Too many champs have streamlined, easy-on-the-eyes designs. I like the monster with a lot going on in Hecarim. And making every evil character have a "good" arc now is garbage. Kalista should be straight up evil, Morg should be evil, Hec should be evil. Not everyone needs a redemption arc.
