Thank you, helpful!
8 mm is the hole, drill 3/8 in reverse , finish with 10mm remer, or use taper remer than finish with 10mm straight remer
Millimeter? Are we in Europe what’s the sae size ?
Hi thanx for the video. What size would i need for the small mounting screws on the back of the headstock?
Dan Challis this is exactly what I need to know also. Figure it out yet?
Just buy a set of bits and compare with the actual screws that came with your tuners
You want the bit to be the width of the screw shank if it didnt have the threads on it
Also use the screw to determine drilling depth you want the depth you mark with tape on the bit to be just shy of the length of the screw without the head
Hope this helps
let's skip stupid loud non-music at the start and just make a video that is useful... ok? A 10mm hole is needed and an RC plane prop reamer for about $15 has 7mm, 8mm, and 10mm cutting shafts and is perfect in a drill or drill press to enlarge 8mm holes to 10 mm. A drill bit alone will wander and has to be used exactly in a drill press. A graduated 7 to 8 to 10 mm is perfect and cheap.
You can definitely use a hand drill done it many times you just dont plunge it in one go
Also
Even on a drill press
Bits can wander
So this is one of those things that depends on the operator if you have a steady hand and take your time you can do it by hand for sure
