Andy Johns talks about the making of "Bitch" as a moment he realized Keith's greatness. As usual, Keith was late to a recording session, and the rest of the band was working on a riff that was going nowhere fast. Richards arrives, sits on the floor to eat a bowl of cereal, calls for a guitar, kicks the song up several gears and that was that. Johns says, "So that's what he [Keith] does."

+Ashley Pomeroy The beatles' music wasn't really geared toward live performance in its entirety. Only their really early stuff and late stuff, really. Their early stuff was ruined by the screaming girls, and the later stuff was only ever performed live on the rooftop, which was a really good performance. If the beatles had played live in the early 70's i think you would have seen some kickass performances.

@Leebo Leigh honestly as much of a Led Zep freak as I admittedly am, Jagger invented the band “front man” as far as I’m concerned. He’s most certainly not the greatest singer, with Plant in particular being such a good singer. But Jagger is without question rock n roll’s greatest stage presence. There are solo artists as dynamic, with Bowie, Tina Turner and many others being absolutely captivating. Jagger, when it comes to representing the raunchy, rock n roll excess, down and dirty decadence, is unmatched. At least until the late 80’s.
